Having known the co-authors (and seen these characters come to life) over the last few years, it was a thrill to find out they'd published their first book together. Although I've known many of these characters for a while, the authors managed to keep the story fresh and interesting. I also thought the setting was handled quite well. I felt like I could see what the characters were seeing. One of the themes running through the story is that love is love no matter what race, sex, gender or....species you are. Another theme brought me back to high school days studying Antigone. Are legal rights or moral rights the correct path to follow? What would you do? Listen to your group/pack/family or do what you feel is right even if it means going against them? The characters in this novel face these decisions and have to deal with the consequences. And what a ride it is! I look forward to the next in this exciting new series.

I'd be remiss in my review if I gave away spoilers, so suffice it to say there's so much going on in this story that you'll be on your toes at all times. Who truly is the villain? Are there different stages of right and wrong, or good vs evil? Does perspective color righteousness? Decisions and actions form repercussions, and all Variant species will suffer for their choices. The first book surly sets a tone of trouble for the future, so be prepared for more obstacles along their journey. With plenty of action, you won't be bored! I enjoyed it greatly.

While the story was easy to follow, the tandem writing gave me pause at times. Both authors did a good job covering their parts, but there was some discrepancy in the flow of the dialog. When asked about the issue, the authors explained they were addressing the style to form a more solid continuity in book 2. I'm looking forward to it.

I have know the authors of this book Shelly and Mike for a few years now. I have seen their writing before and it has always amazed me. When you step into their world of their stories and characters you get hooked right away. When I found out that they wrote a book I was so proud of them. I couldnt wait to read it. I was once again hooked onto their writing, I could not put the book down. It really draws you in. The storyline, the scenary the characters everything just takes you in. Its like you could visualize everything you read in the book. I rated this book 5 stars could thats how I feel about it, its one of the best stories I have read in awhile. They really did an excellent job with this book and I look forward to reading more of their books once they are published.

As a fan of both the vampire and werewolf horror categories I have to say that BLOOD MOON was a very refreshing alternative to the popular take on vamp/wolf relations. Far too many times we have seen the werewolves used in subservient capacities. This was NOT the case. The werewolves in this novel are ferocious, clever, calculating creatures. Their personalities practically smack of wolf-like tendencies even in their human forms.

Conri and Saoirse's romance spans through time. They have an ease with one another that extends itself beyond comfort. She's quite obviously his PARTNER in all things. Loved it. Mike caught Bentley at a particularly low point in her life and watching them transform one another emotionally is hard, especially as the reader when you know that their romance is headed into choppy water toward the end.

Though my favorite wolf of all was Savannah King. I hope to learn more about her even if its in a short story unrelated to the plot of the next novel.

The vampires seemed to run the gamut as far as temperament was concerned. Some were laid back, others were downright maniacal, and a few easily fell right in between. If I was FORCED to pick a favorite vampire of all in this novel It would be a tie between Kael and Bellamy it was interesting watching them become closer, and I absolutely loved their fight scene.

I don't want to give TOO much away, but the epilogue just ruined me. I am dying to know more about the character it centers around and what it will mean for both the weres and vamps!

Overall, this was a pretty good book. I love the story line. Almost a Romeo and Juliet of sorts with a large dash of inter supernatural species rivalry. My one complaint is that it didn't have a good flow. It had a good portion of one point of view followed by another's POV from the beginning point of the others. Like reading one character's lines and not seeing the responses until way later. It really should be more conversational.

*I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

This was very interesting stories. I enjoyed reading this. The different plots and scenarios to the story. I was intrigued by Mike and what he could shift into. Is there was part 2 to this story. It keep me wanting to finish the story. Thumb up to the author.

It is the best that deserved. I enjoy a good paranormal story. I would suggest that it would be a good for all.

Mixing some old and new!

The regular vampire or werewolf novels are always fun but this adds a great twist to awaken my love of the genre. The characters are well developed and make you hate or love them. The force you to feel a vested interest in their fate. The erotic undertones remind me that this isn't your usual bedtime story but one to tingle all the senses!
