Working to heal wounded Alphan warriors is the new duty of bondmates Leo and Deklan. Although recovered from severe injuries received on the field of battle, they are no longer fit to fight. Their orderly, all-male existence is turned upside down when an injured human female becomes their new responsibility.
Aura Tremain wakes up in an alien hospital, healing from a beating delivered by the scaly Xyrans who’d kidnapped her. Upon her discharge, two handsome Alphan men offer her refuge until she’s well enough to travel.
Even though Leo and Deklan know they will never be permitted to bond with Aura as their souls demand, they can’t ignore the desire she stirs in them. Her time with them is short, but so intense. Will the intimacies they share be strong enough to withstand the expectation that bondmates are for battle-worthy warriors? Can their passion bind the three of them forever?

Alphan Leo and Deklan and Aura Tremain

Bondmates Leo and Deklan are not capable of fighting any more, thus they do not qualify to have a human female as mate. Aura will be their responsibility when she is injured by the evil Xyrans who had kidnapped her.
Although they feel a connection and sexual chemistry, the two guys resist and try not to touch the pretty human....until Aura convince them otherwise.
Very hot scenes between the two virgin aliens and their brave girl. I loved their story and how these three fought for their love and their right to be together.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

After reading Forbidden by J.J. Lore, I am left with mixed feelings. While the sex scenes were definitely hot, I needed more – more story development, more character development and more tension.

Forbidden takes place in the future where Earth is an entirely different place. The people are poor with limited food and other resources. Aura is captured by the Xyran. During transport, she attempts to intervene when one of the Xyran attempts to rape a young girl and is severely injured. Fortunately for all those kidnapped, Alpha centurions spotted the raiders and were able to defeat them and rescue the human captives. Aura is taken to their medical facilities where she is cared for by Leo and Deklan.

Leo and Deklan are former warriors whose injuries have permanently sidelined them. They are instantly attracted by Aura, but Alpha laws have deemed the wounded men ineligible to mate with Aura despite the fact that she calls to their souls. Can the three of them find their happy ending or will Alphan expectations keep them apart?

Most of Forbidden was dedicated to the sexual adventures between the triad. While I would have hoped for more story content, at least the sex scenes were well written and certainly raised the temperature in the room. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot of interaction between the leads outside of the bedroom. Yes, they were certainly attracted to each other, but why did they fall in love? There had to be more than physical lust to explain their connection.

I wish that just as much attention had been given to the story line. There wasn’t much explanation as to why the injured warriors were prevented from bonding. We really didn’t have much interaction with other characters past one commanding officer. The ironic thing is that Forbidden is actually a well-written book. The story flows easily and naturally; the dialogue is snappy and realistic. Had the author used these writing talents toward story development, this could have easily been a five star review.

Forbidden is the fifth book in the Planet Alpha series. I have not read the other books yet I had no difficulty in following the plot line. Perhaps if I had read the others I would have a better understanding of the Alpha community. But I didn’t, and combined with the lacking storyline, I can only give Forbidden a mediocre recommendation.

Two wounded warriors take in a female from Earth while she is recovering from injuries sustained during her kidnapping and begin to want something that according to their laws they are not worthy of…a bonding with the female in this riveting sci-fi romance. This is the second book in this series by multiple authors that I have read and it is fascinating and entertaining although I do wish the stories were a little longer. J J Lore is the author of this one and Bondmate, the other one that I read and I must say that I enjoyed both of them.

This was (currently) the last one of the Planet Alpha series for me to read. As in all the other ones the story was interesting and erotic. In this case though it had a pair of Alphan's who were not the apex of warrior fitness and health but were still very, very hot and sexy. I loved the bad-ass attitude of Aura and thought she coped well with everything that happened to her. I especially liked the ending and the way it was so different from the previous ones I'd read.

I had to read this right after Planet Alpha , Bondmate because I enjoyed that story so much. This story is equally as good. Loved the heroine and her story. Loved the gentle, brave and sexy Alphan warriors who take care of her.
A fascinating take on the plight of retired soldiers in an alien culture. Hot sex, a love story, and a great ending. Can't wait for this author to write another.

Sweet alien romance

This was a sweet alien romance with no mistrust or games. It was straight forward and got to the point. I did enjoy this quick read.
