I received this for an honest review.. I have to say this was such an enjoyable read. This is the first read from this author for me. Even though this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone... I loved how strong the characters were in this book especially the female lead. Alyssa was such a wonderful character because she was so strong it really didn't matter what was thrown at her she found a way to over come it. Health was a wonderful male lead and perfect for Alyssa . This is one of those books that once you sit down with it you do not want to put it down

~~~~~~~~~~Michelle's 4½ Star Review~~~~~~~~~~
The best book in The Embracing series…I was a little skeptical going into this book as I was not 100% sure it would be any better than the first 4 books…Thank goodness I was wrong…This is by far my favorite book from Delisa…Every book has some form of drama/tragedy but if it is done well it doesn't matter. Alyssa has suffered a huge loss at only 17. She starts down a destructive path with all the wrong men to bury the pain. She is set up on blind date with Heath and the world comes to a halt…Heath is everything Seth was. Can she go on knowing this man reminds her too much of her lost love?
This book was in intense read as Delisa writes it so you connect with the characters so much you feel what they feel. I really enjoyed this book and you do not have to read the previous 4 books to understand what is going on.
Well done – I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.
~~~~~~~~~~Dee's 5 Star Review~~~~~~~~~~

It is a nice change when two lovers declare their undying love and someone enters the equation accusing damnable things against one or the other, to see the lovers remain faithful in their trust for each other. Actually, in this story, it only made their love stronger for each other. It is a great story of two people, damaged deeply from events in their past, struggling to move forward and making poor decisions in the process.

Such was the circumstances of Alyssa and Heath. When they met, each felt a connection that puzzled and scared them. As they got to know one another, they are open and frank about their pasts, honest with their feelings and cautiously venture into romance. While incidents in the past are dark and hurtful, there is much joy and love in the healing process. Then as a bonded unit, they together face some scary, dramatic and mysterious circumstances. Very enjoyable read, well written and the plot is engaging and realistic. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was filled with so much emotion and intensity. Delisa does a great job making you feel the characters and what they are going through. This story is told mostly in present time but there are flashbacks that are key to the story.

Alyssa suffered a tragedy when she was just 17. She hasn’t been able to fully move on from it and because of that, she is finding comfort in all the wrong things. The decisions that she makes shows you how deeply broken she is. However, she was still able to become a lawyer-the one thing she always wanted to do. She is successful but still unlucky in love. Heath also suffered tragedy at a young age but has done the best he can at moving on. He is also successful but very smart and good. Through the help of friends, the two meet and sparks fly. Heath and Alyssa are great together-the bond, the love they share is shown through their actions. Their relationship is very easygoing and I enjoyed that. There is a underlying connection that they share and it made their relationship that much better and stronger. Some of the drama in the story I felt showed how strong both Heath and Alyssa when going through obstacles and I liked that. The characters in the story were good and I enjoyed reading about them. I liked that Delisa showed how one person can help heal another through love.

Though there were good parts to the story, for me it moved a little too fast. I know that Heath and Alyssa were connected but I still felt that the progression of their relationship was still a bit much and unrealistic at times. I felt that because of the timeline, I was not able to fully connect with the story as I hoped. I felt that there could have been more with the progression of their relationship-more to explore and I would have liked that. However, if you have read this series then you will like this book.

Healed is the story of Alyssa Sommers. Alyssa suffered a tragic incident during her senior year of high school that leaves her broken. She tries to find comfort in the arms of all the wrong men. She is trying to move on but will she ever be able to let her guard down and be healed?

Then Alyssa meets Heath and she can't even breathe. She cannot believe how much Heath reminds her of him. Heath is an amazing guy who has it all. He's good looking, smart, funny and a successful businessman.

Can Heath and Allysa's summer romance turn into what they need to be healed? Or will their past catch up will them?

This was a great read. I loved Heath and Allysa; they were perfect for each other. Allysa was a great female lead, I loved how strong she was. She always kept going, no matter what life threw her way. Heath was an all around great guy, always looking out for those he cared about. I'm normally not a fan or instalove (No spoilers) but when I realized who Heath was I was okay with the instalove in this book. This was my favorite book in this series. Ms Lynn's writing gets more developed and mature with each book that she writes. I would
recommend this book to anyone who loves a little angst and a HEA ending in their love stories. I look forward to reading more from Ms Lynn.

I was given a copy by author for an honest review

Healed is book 5 of the Embracing Series.

Books one and two are the only ones that should be read together. The other three are standalone.

Alyssa's senior year of high school was suppose to be filled with fun and excitement, The count down till she went off to college with the love of her life Seth, but when tragedy strikes and your whole world is crumbling what are you to do? Seth's brother Aaron helps her threw the day she never could of imagined.

Being broken and lost Alyssa tries to find what she's missing but it all leads to the wrong men. Finally taking control she sets off to law school to find comfort.

Her friend sets her up on a blind date with the handsome Heath Mason, but when she sees him she completely looses it. The similarities, is it possible to look at someone and be at a complete lose of words?

Heath has a successful realtor business. He had an amazing girlfriend, then in the blink of an eye she is gone. When going on a blind date he never thought he would be looking at the one person who held so much pain and all he wanted to do was take it away!

This is by far my favorite book by Delisa! She did an amazing job and I wish I could give this book more!

Tragedy strikes and Alyssa is now alone. She tries to forget by choosing the wrong men for comfort. She decides to go to law school, earn her law degree and move on from her past. ~~~~Zarah's Review~~~~

Healed is book 5 in Delisa Lynn's 'Embracing' series and in my opinion the best one of the series and brings s the story of Alyssa and Heath. Of them all, this is the one book can certainly be read as a stand alone.

I was not a fan of Alyssa from the other books in this story, she was the "girl to hate", and while I don't condone her behaviour, this story goes a long way to explaining why she is the way she is and my heart broke for her on more than one occasion. So much angst.

Enter Heath, like a ghost from the past and he sets about healing her, and as always with this author's books, time seems to move a warp speed and the relationship with Heath progresses very quickly - but given everything Alyssa has gone through, I can't really blame her for grabbing on with both hands.

Once again though, there is spelling mistakes, bad grammar and disjointed dialogue. Of all the books in this series so far, this one has the most believable scenarios, so on that front, the author did a great job. Properly polished and this would be great.

Literally broke my heart!
This book was hard for me to read only because it was a bit on the darker side. But I still really loved it. I am now going to borrowed.
Alyssia is awesome and all I will say so I don't give any spoilers is that she got just what she deserved
