Well, ok. So first, I'm really digging George. I mean, like damn, Elijah is supposed to be the main male character and with him it took 3 books for me to really warm up to him. And seeing how far he comes in this one reinforces that he is redeemable. But George. He's a bit of a contradiction. If he wasn't a "no strings" kind of guy, he would be my kind of guy. He's loyal, sexy, tough, but he does have honor...even when he is setting out to play Alisha.
This book starts out hard core. Pool Alisha. Tony I'd like to string up by his balls. What a d!ck. And it is funny that Alisha thinks of George that way. Not that I can't blame her exactly...George can be a bit of an a$$. If it wasn't for the situation Natalie is in with EJ, things may have been a bit different for George and Alisha, but then again, they never would have crossed paths. Just when Alisha thinks she may be able to buy herself some time with Tony, George hits her with the news that Natalie has disappeared, and he needs her help to locate her. Alisha would rather take the risk of looking for Natty without George, but with people out to kill her, she needs his protection. But who is going to protect her from George, and the unwitting feelings he evokes in her?
I love these two together. Their constant need to outdo the other. The fact that he isn't trying to change her, nor does he resent her friendship with Natalie. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. My one super peeve? I hate when a good book is chopped up into so many short segments. I'd rather have seen this as a 3 book series vs. the 9 segments that it will be.
