I'm sorry but I don't like YaYa she always plays the victim acting like she hasn't put Indie through hell and back. She hurt him and he hurt her. But I have a feeling she's going to fool around with Ethic again . I really do like Indie and Ethic . And I wonder if Indie will ever find out if King is his song or nephew. And I was starting to like Parker until I found out her dusty self wasn't that innocent cheating on indie with his brother. If u think about it both YaYa and Parker did indie wrong in the end. But he always end up chasing behind YaYa . I'm not sorry but I don't like YaYa .... Other then that I enjoyed this book definitely a 5 star just the beginning was a bit slow for me the wedding was boring to me lol until Parker busted in then it got good. (:
This book had all the drama, mystery & surprise cast added (which I won't spoil)that I was not expecting for the tie-in. I'm now so confused as to who I want to really hold Yaya's heart!! My new boo Chase has definitely made the list of unseen eye candy!!! 10*** Ashley and the ending you left us with could stop or will leave you in thought for a part 5.
This one felt a little different than the other 3. I don't know if it's because Leah is really dead, which I was waiting for her ass to magically pop back in like people do on the stories when they supposed to be dead. But the overall feel was just different.
I was mad at Indie through this entire fucking book. He started the shit off wrong. That trash ass fake bougie bitch Parker runs up in his wedding and tells him he can't marry Yaya because he knows it's supposed to be him and her and that they have a son. Wedding over at that point, but how he gonna leave his wife at the alter while he chases down this other chick? This is who he was in love with a few years before he met Yaya, but he's not the same person he was then and he's been with Yaya for longer than he was with Parker. Him and Yaya been through mad storms. How could he be confused about his feelings?
I guess it was because of the way things ended so abruptly, but it's not like he was still stuck after they broke up? He had literally moved on.
So he leaves Yaya at the alter and she meets Ethic. And they bond immediately. Muh fuckas really be overestimating their position in people's lives. People who demand loyalty always test your loyalty by doing some disloyal shit.
Parker made it clear that she wanted HIM! How the fuck you come out the woodwork 8 years later wanting HIM? That shit would not have worked anyway. Maybe she could have gotten him out the streets and to college back when they were together, but this nigga is a street king now. He's so bossed up he was able to pay his way into a billion dollar company. So this straight laced college professor would not have been his equal. He should have known that.
He cussed Yaya out at a dinner party in front of their guests, which included Ethic, for approaching the bitch who busted up their wedding, and this nigga got made and stormed out the house to "fix what you fucked up", making it so obvious that he was going to see Parker. And he went and saw and fucked her. No...he made love to her. Talking bout "This is what family feels like." WHAT NIGGA? WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY? I was so mad.
He came home and told Yaya the truth and she left his ass and Ethic fucked the shit out her. And I'm GLAD!!! Indie niggerish ass realized he loved Yaya and couldn't be without her AFTER he fucked...I'm sorry...poured all his love and emotion into making sweet love to Parker. He let his emotions make him make a stupid ass decision and he completely ruined his relationship forever. Even if she were to take him back, their love would never be the same.
He loved them both, but he let his confused emotions trick him into thinking the love he REMEMBERED was the same as the love he CURRENTLY HAD! So he end up with Parker, going through the motions, feeling like their relationship is being forced because he didn't want to be alone.
This is why I'm not finna beg no nigga to love me. NO BODY! You can't make nobody love you, time, a baby, pussy...none of that shit works. And Parker was willing to pretend like she didn't know she was second choice.
Then when we find out WHY Parker was gone...OH, because you was fucking his brother at the same time as him and got pregnant and don't know who the baby daddy is. She decided her son needs a father and was just gonna pick Indie.
Yaya and Ethic connected immediately. She was ready to be with him. After that shit with Parker, while Indie is letting Yaya have space (because his ass was shamed) she was making moves with another man. And she felt like he was a better man. Maybe because her view of him wasn't tainted by history and betrayal like her view of Indie was, but either way, Indie did not think for a second that after what he did to break them, that he was leaving the opportunity for a better man to step in. The only reason why she ended up marrying Indie was because Ethic let her go. He popped up on her at their small wedding while Indie was outside waiting and she straight said this should have been you and me.
I don't know if I want to read the next book. Without the tension and suspense Leah brought, this one didn't hold my interest as much. I think if this wasn't associated in my mind already with The Prada Plan I may have liked it more. It was still good though. More on the romance side of the coin.

I enjoyed every page but it still left me wanting more. Indie and YaYa have the 'Happily Ever After' but will it last? Trina... another story waiting to be told.

*SPOILERS* Random thoughts as I listened to book 4
Pro • Cary Hite’s narration • Ethic’s character crossover from Moth to a flame • The end of the Leah & YaYa storyline • The promise of Chase and Mia & the treachery of Trina
Cons • YaYa • Indie • Not a lot of storyline movement
Points of irritability • *Yaya went from wanting Leah dead for 3 entire books, only for her to decide that she couldn't kill her in yet another cliffhanger. But book 4 opens with Yaya being determined is her wanting to kill her. Really? • *Indie 4 books later and his character is JUST now realizing Leah is not a scorned ex? Even after everything his character witnessed firsthand and was hard evidence he was presented with in book 2? All I'm thinking is he’s a bit "thick" • *Yaya, who remains completely unlikeable, is asking leah yet again why she hates her so much only to be told yet again that yaya stole her life.. • *Indie is Yaya's protector? She's never felt that in any other book. It’s an odd thing to think because she is about to marry • *Now with the "surprise arrival, "Indie didn't follow YaYa out the venue. This woman whose love was so deep, so great, so profound? • I'm on chapter 14 and they've just finished a flashback of Indie and Parker and what struck me as odd is that the author has, up until this point a really good job of showcasing the connection between Parker and Indie. In book 2, the connection between Indie and Chase was laid out and explained really well. The only connection to date that has not been showcased or written well enough to be believable is between Indie and Yaya. I'm in book 4 and I've never really understood or seen their “profound” love explained. I know the night they met, she was drunk. Literally, three paragraphs later she was pregnant and being beaten half to death. I think that's what bothers me about their love story it's unexplained and unbelievable. We see the drama, the time apart, we don’t see what binds them to each other. You even see what binds Yaya to Ethic. I think people who want Yaya and Indie together just do because they have been the focus since book 1 despite no evidence of their alleged deep love. Love that allows indie to choose or believe everyone but Yaya when it counts. Love that allowed her to walk away from him into not just 2, but two other men and an addiction. Hmmmm I don’t know. Okay I’m done with this point…Sorry yeah yeah yeah I know. • *This should have been Book 3 not 4 and I’m assuming whatever is in Book 5 could have been in this book.
• damn it i hate i have to know how a story ends. If this is billed as the final book in the series, why in the heck is there a book 5?

Yes Ashley!!!! Omg!! I swear it was worth the wait! Yaya was finally able to rid herself of Leah. It was a long time coming but she finally did it! Indie was straight tripping! I can't believe how easily he was willing to jeopardize his relationship with Yaya for Parker. Oh my, Ethnic?! I'm glad he was finally able to avenge what Mizan did to Raven even though it took a few years. As for Parker, that chick was wrong on so many levels. How do you claim to be in love with someone and want to rebuild the life you thought would've been had you stuck around, but some things were a lie? If only Indie wasn't trying to hold onto his past. It's crazy how a man is willing to cause unnecessary problems within his relationship but as soon as the female does it they feel so betrayed. Indie didn't realize what he messed up until someone else stepped in and showed Yaya what it was like to truly be wanted. I was a fan of Indie's before but Ethnic came in and changed all of that. He is the true definition of a real man! Great read Ashley!!! Well maybe there should be a part 5 to see all the what if's!!! Such as what if Yaya chose the other one, what would happen to Trina, and what would become of Chase and Miesha?
Ashley might've dropped the ball on the last installment, but she picked it and made a shot with this one. She fumbled along the way, but she made the shot. I enjoyed this book a lot, but I do have some concerns. Yaya made me proud. I totally disliked her in the last novel, but she cleaned herself up nicely. Indie pissed me off more than anyone. I admired him so much in the last 3 novels, but I lost all respect for him in this one. Parker...Parker...Parker. The tug of war that my heart and mind had with this new character was driving me crazy. I understand all the flashbacks. In all honesty, it was needed. I extremely loved the old Parker, but what the present Parker did is what had me not sure about my feelings for her. The unexpected twist that Ashley threw in had me going crazy. But when I thought about it and Parker's past, it didn't match. That wasn't the type of person Parker was. Ashley explained it, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Everyone has their slip-ups. I understand that. But I honestly don't see Parker slipping up like that. The infamous ETHIC. I didn't realize how much I loved him in "Moth To A Flame" until he appeared out of nowhere in this book. I fell in love with him all over again. Ethic is everything, but I'm confused with his reasoning for being in the book. After re-reading the ending of "Moth To A Flame", how is Mizan even alive??? Another problem that I had was the detailing that Ashley told about Ezra. It was not fully in sync with what really happened in "Moth To A Flame". I don't know if Ashley didn't feel like remembering exactly what happened in the book, or she hoped that we forgot, but seems like some of us didn't forget. That's not a good thing at all, Ashley. You're too far in this game to be doing this, boo. Whoever edited this novel didn't do a good job, but I somewhat can't blame them. The book itself was so good and I found myself didn't wanna put it down, that I would've forgotten that I was editing myself lmao. But no. Even after finishing it, the editor could've went back over it and did his/her job. The ending...I was confused for a minute. When my eyes ran across those words, I had to restart the chapter back over because I thought I missed something, but it's all good. I do have a question or two but one of them C.N. Philips can explain in "The Prada Plan Protege". Indie's name gotta come up one way or another. Both questions should've been answered in this novel, but I digress. Maybe Ashley will write a part 5 to explain. Ashley, I enjoyed it, but the details around it is kinda sloppy. I feel bad for having to write this type of review. P.S. I wish you would venture out into romance novels or something. I can see you being more famous than you already are. You took that step with "Single Ladies", but I really would love if you blessed that genre and market with your great writing. Hopefully you listen to me.
Love and War is an amazing book to read. I enjoyed reading this book because I like the concept and vibe in this book. Once again, Ashley Antoinette did a good job.
I enjoyed reading to each of characters in this book. This book is dealing with a lot of drama and emotional. There were a lot of love and war between Ya Ya & Indie or Indie and Parker or Ya Ya & Ethic. I'm happy that Indie and Ya Ya are working out for their relationship because they are belonged together.
I wish there will be part 5 of The Prada Plan because I want to read about Ya Ya and Indie. I gave this book and author five stars because they are deserved it. I have learned lot of this book.
I'm looking forward to reading another book from Mrs. Antoinette.
Caught me by surprise, who knew Disaya has it in her to push Leah I mean come on all this time, and all that drama it should have been easy why did Leah have to say something... I'm not too sure I would have forgiven Indie. How could he say after all she did he forgave her, really how bout she came back to your ass after you beat her while she was pregnant and left her for dead, not to mention hooked up with the real enemy. She should of stayed with Ethic. I wanna know what's going to happen to Trine and what about the new love birds?
Ashley did her thing! Can’t wait to read the next and final book in the series!! Yaya didn’t deserve this!!!!! If a man leaves you at the altar to chase after another woman, he should be dead to you!!! I just want to point out that I never liked Indie but I dealt with him because YaYa is the main character and she loved him. I just always felt like he was flaky. He was flaky when it came to the truth with his brother and Leah. He basically almost killed Yaya. Hell, he went on and had a whole relationship with Leah on some foul stuff. Then some girl comes back from your past and you risk it all??? I’m not fooled by the ending!!
Wow! Wow! Is all I can say. Ashley Antionette has done it yet again. The end left me reeling...... Now on to Prada Plan 5 because I have to see what will happen now that things really turned out way different than I ever expected. My heart goes out to Yaya. Now lets see how these tables will turn for Indie........
Book 4 in this tale of revenge and jealousy picks up right where it left off. It's been a long time coming but the fued between Yaya and Leah has taken its course..for all involved. Left at the alter, Indie doesn't know if love is in the cards for him and Yaya. Her fixation for revenge has taken a life of its own and only blood can move her passed her inner turmoil. But when unforeseeable heartache that grips the couple is added into the mix, it's anyone's guess who will be left standing..or alive. They say to live in the present but what happens when the past is not laid to rest? Love and war become a deadly concoction that seeks to divide and conquer.
Rating 4.5 stars
Wow, this book just got me out of a serious book funk. The drama was captivating from beginning to end. There were also moments of suspense; I didn't know how this book would end even up until the last page! The connecting of this storyline to another pass book was done ingeniously. It was a smooth progression from one plot to another. I loved the connection each character shared. I could really feel Yaya's emotions in each turn of events. It seemed so real that some scenes were even hard for me to read because it played on my emotions. Character development was on point: I really saw a lot of growth in Indie and Yaya. The half star was deducted for timeline error: a scene were Ethic explained about the birth of a child was incorrect. I am a stickler for timeline accuracy; it just has to be accurate for me. Other than that, good read!
I was seriously going to stop when a certain female character was introduced. I said here we go again. The deceptive writing tactics. I mean according to all the previous installments her existence can't even be possible. But I will tell you what made it ok. Not that I agree with the tactic but I forgave it because one of my favorite characters ever showed up on the scene. I thought that this idea was brilliant. The end was bitter sweet for me. I mean yeah... But... Let me just say that Indie lost a lot of my respect when he kicked YaYa in the stomach. I liked him and cheered for them but that always stayed with me. I was happy that there was some reprieve in the surprise visitor. Technically speaking there were a lot of ends that seemed to not be really tied up or shall I say some things were just not spoken of again and I would wonder why. In life every secret is never revealed but the fact that Slim seemed to disappear when YaYa experienced the most horrific moment of her life?? I mean where the heck was Slim?? The fact that Elaine never reached out to YaYa and supposedly she loved her? There were just some things that could've rounded this out more. I'm saying though where the heck was Slim?? But what made this installment great for me was one character and that was Ethic!
The Finale and what a finale it was. I really enjoyed this novel! I was really hoping and then not hoping Ya Ya and Indie would get it together but on the side I wanted her to have a happily ever after with the new guy! This couple really did go through a lot to end up together and in the end their love won out. It was truly a love and war type of novel. The book was very well written and I recommend the entire series. Thanks for a great read Ashley!
I guess I’m in a love hate relationship with this series at this point but I can’t stop won’t stop!
This book low key pissed me off with the way Indie was acting. But I should have seen it coming. He’s been trying to control and change YaYa since book 1. He could never truly accept her for who she was. He was always trying to run her world and never listen to her. Every time she was getting her life together he came back and her world blew up. And he never listened to her. At first I thought he was good for her but he is a toxic man and yaya needs to run. But he has his hooks in her and she can’t stay away no matter how hard she tries. Nothing but death could keep her from him. They both have too many secrets and hidden lies to work.
Now that I’m off of my high horse the plot in this novel was well…..mmm interesting. They brought in characters from other series that the author had written. I’m interested in seeing how the plots continue to intertwine and connect. I’m actually ready for the Prada plan series to be over because at this point how many ways can you destroy someone’s life and then try to build them back up. Somehow they find a ways because these background stories can be so convoluted and messy. Some of the plots were a reach and some were too predictable. But I will press on and finish this series.
Moving forward I’m interested in how Trina will come into play since she trusts no one. I’m sure indie and yaya will have a terrible marriage. I think Leah will pop up again some way somehow that lady is immortal. Also Parker may pop up again but maybe not And yaya and ethic….i hope they don’t mess ethic up for me he really is a good man.
So I listened to this book and it was narrated by Cary Hite he did a horrible job not because he’s not a good narrator but he should not narrate thug books!! Being that I listened to Ethic before this book omg he did a horrible Ethic!!! The book was ok I was sick of Yaya and Indie! I’m glad the Ethic sent her back to Indie but she shouldn’t have went back because he okayed her big time

When Ethic pulled up, I screamed! But damn finally Leah ass is gone, she ain't get the death she deserves but fuck it long as she dead lmao. That lil thot from Indies past got some damn nerve lil lying fast hussy 🙄 but sheesh I can't imagine what happens in 5 😩
