My name is Allison Jones, and here are five things you should know about me:
1. I’m a senior in high school, and I have an awesome internship at a local news station.
2. I just broke the story of the year.
3. I’m a half credit short from graduating, and my guidance counselor is making me take a special events planning class that’s really just a glorified prom committee.
4. I loathe the idea of planning the prom
5. I think I’m screwing up my relationship with my best friend Jake who means more to me than any of the other stuff.

Parents, if you're looking for a romance book for your daughter, this was a fun read. Liz Botts certainly knows teens. I re-experienced all of my own high school romantic highs and lows while reading this. Does he love me? Do I love him? Should I make the first move? Don't rock the boat! Is this what I want? Why won't my parents get off my back? All of that plus a lesson or two as well: if something doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't -- and best friends are more important than a fleeting bit of fame.
