I have seen the world change, seen cities grow. Where the forest stood there is now agriculture, where there were lakes, there is now mainland and high-rise buildings. There is only one thing that is constant, one thing I know best, and that is war, for Egrḗgoroi, witches, Lýkos and humans, we are all enemies.
I really liked this book, it 1. Person POV and I really got caught up in the “voice” of the protagonist. It´s not a second guessing or feeling bad for humans kind of story, which I kind of liked, and the book has a really interesting take on vampires, that I actually haven’t seen before, and the plot is pretty good too I think. I Also liked the way the book mixed historically events into the story, I was surprised how many was actually true, when I checked up on it.
All in all It´s a really good read if you like urban fantasy and vampires.
I wish I had read the description better before I started the book. I’m not a fan of vampire books, and this one certainly didn’t change my opinion any towards the genre.
The main characters were both annoyed. The plot was just OK, not good the writing definitely could have used proofreading by an editor, because there were mistakes all the at through. I’m guessing this maybe wasn’t originally in English, but I’m just guessing.
