Melting the IQ

Overlooking Rylie's love of the New England Patriots, I love the not-so-meet-cute that she has with Mitch. It's absolutely hilarious how she hands him his... ego without missing a step. And it doesn't end there.

“I think what you need is some remedial help. I’d recommend some Sports Center to start,” she snapped. “At least it will give you a modicum of football knowledge.”

I found this to be a dramatic romcom and enjoyed it. There are some dark demons that haunt Rylie and she proves to be quite the runner when a potential problem pops up. I wasn't fond of this (I mean, how can she afford it?) but the way it was written made it work and it hit a lot of the spots with the steam, the ego bruises, the insecure / inexperienced sassy woman, and the guy who's never chased anyone... until now. 😉

3.5 "Pretty Boy & IQ" Stars

This book is the first part of a series, however can be read as a standalone as each book portrays a different couple. I really liked this quick little read. There were plenty of "Laugh Out Loud" & "You Just Made Me Spit Out My Tea" moments. I actually loved the Hero & Heroine. Their chemistry was hot and they had some great scenes. I liked that she was more of a tomboy than a girly girl. I loved how she couldn't keep her thoughts from coming out her mouth. I loved it all right up until the end. The ending was way too rushed. He didn't learn about her secret of why she took the self defense classes, which could have been a huge help to build on this relationship. The insta love needed more cultivation time. This couple deserved more attention as they were very amazing characters. The author is talented with descriptions & the quotes were great it just all fell apart in the end. Hopefully some of these things will be resolved in the next book couple Sasha & Jackson.

This was a great debut novel for Sierra Hill! The writing was fantastic, like she's been doing it forever! I really enjoyed this will/they won't/they story. Especially since Mitch was such a babe;-) There was plenty of that sexual tension to make you hang on for the ride. Once the fifty percent point hit, things got intense. The scenes were hot and pulled you in. There were also a few unexpected twists scattered throughout that were fun to watch play out. The epilogue gave closure. No cliffhanger! I will definitely read more by Sierra Hill in the future!

Physical Touch is a wonderful read. I really enjoyed this one. You feel such strong chemistry when it comes to Rylie and Mitch. Rylie is a runner, has a broken past, feisty and speaks her mind when she feels like it. Mitch is charming and a tad full of himself. He pushes every single one of Rylie's buttons and it is so fun to watch. There is no stopping Mitch and Rylie as their chemistry becomes off the charts. I love the little games they play and how flirty Mitch is. Rylie is a sweetheart and a fantastic physical therapist who does everything she can to help rehab Mitch even when she does not want to face him at times. I could not get enough of Rylie and Mitch. I fell hard for these two and cannot wait for more of the Physical series.

Therapy Or Torture? Why Not Both!

This series must be read in order. This is the first book. I can't wait to read the next one!


Rylie is a girl used to being one of the guys. Her mother leaving when she was young scarred her for life. She never wants to get her heart broken again! After she was attacked she took up self defense and became proficient enough to become a teacher. The rest of her time is spent with friends, her family and her job. She helps other people recover from traumatic injuries as a physical therapist. Her life is nice and orderly... Just the way she likes it! At her friend Mark's going away party she meets the most infuriating and gorgeous man who just happens to get under her skin in a way that no one ever has before. She is both attracted and put off by him. Unfortunately he is her new patient. Will she be able to stay professional and help him recover? Should she just give into the attraction and get it over with? Is she about to destroy her career by either decking him ... Or sleeping with him? How will she survive this insane situation?

***This book is suitable for adult readers who enjoy a few chicklit leanings in their contemporary mild taboo romances with a dash of HEA and a lot of heat :)

Ever find a book that actually catches your attention unexpectedly? Find yourself not wanting to finish it, but needing to? This book was like that for me. Had me captivated. I enjoyed the journey it took me with Rylie and Mitch.

We all have obstacles from our past we need to overcome sometimes to allow another touch consume us and wrap itself around us. The title fit perfectly for many reasons. I am glad I got the chance to read this book. The writer used enough details to draw an image but also leave room for you to complete it.

Oh and the intimate scenes where hot. I am not a swimmer but damn if this book didn't make me wish I was to try out the water games i read. Looking forward to more by this writer down the line. :)

Cute Story

I enjoyed this story overall but I did have a hard time connecting with the characters. It had some funny parts but I expected there to be a little more sexy and more heat!! I liked the chemistry between them but it was a quick, cute read!!

Mitch and Rylie meet in a bar, never actually exchanging formalities, but placing a friendly wager that comes to prove her competitiveness and sports. They part ways, but not before both feeling some kind of pull together. Mitch needs PT after an accident that caused him to have knee surgery. The lucky lady that’s his therapist is none other than Rylie. She tough, serious and sassy, everything he needs in a therapist and woman. There’s no denying their chemistry, but after an issue in her past, she finds it hard to cross that line and feeling like she needs to maintain her professionalism. Can she finally let herself feel again and take a chance on someone who made her break out from the shell she’s been under for far too long?

So, I will once again say that third person books are really hard for me. There had been times that I was wondering who’s thoughts I’m hearing. First person just makes me feel so much more involved. That aside, I enjoyed the story. Rylie is one bad ass chick. She is strong and fierce, knows her limits even though she wants to push them. Mitch isn’t what I was expecting. He was a little irritating at times with her persistence, but I did like him. I think some of the side characters that showed up were funny and helped make the story of these two. I love a book located in my hometown, but especially focusing in on heavy events that happened made me connect with the book more. I’ll definitely continue the series and am excited for more.

Rylie is a well respected and hard working physical therapist that doesn't let anything or anyone get in her way. Rylie is somewhat of a tomboy she has taken care of and watched over her dad and brother much of her adult life and she spends a lot of her free time with them. That is when her best friend Sasha is not trying to drag her out to go out and meet new people.

Mitch injured his knee very badly in one of his many high adrenilne activities he does when he is hanging around with his best friends and business partner Jax. The have been friends for many years and have made a lot of big business decision worth a lot of money are used to getting what they want when they ask for it.

So we find that Mitch has been referred to have his physical therapy done by Rylie because he was told she was one of the best in the business. The problem is when they start working together they realize they have an instant connection after the first touch. So after the first therapy session Rylie asks her best friend and business partner Sasha to assign Mitch to someone else.

Mitch will have none of that and to top it off Sasha has agreed to have Rylie provide Mitch his therapy services in his home to make it more convenient for his schedule. This gives Mitch the upper hand because he is really liking the feeling he is having for Rylie and he wants to explore it more.

Rylie is doing everything she can to fend off those feelings she has for Mitch even thought he is pushing full steam a head. She doesn't want to cross the line between patient and therapist. Will she be able to hold him off or does she want to.

You will have to read this book to find out. I so loved this story. i thought it was wonderfully written and had amazing detail to it. I felt like i fell in love with the characters and why they became who they are. I didn't want to but down the book.. I loved the twist and turns in this book. I kept me totally interested. I hope this author rights another book about Sasha and Jax. I would love to learn more about those characters

So, sometimes I get it wrong and select a book I think I’ll like and then it simply doesn’t work for me. that’s what happened here.It sounded good but somehow for me it didn’t live up to the description.
Its well written, and everything dovetails together neatly, but I just didn’t really like either of the main leads. That's a big problem – I have to have some form of empathy with one of the leads to enjoy a story but...Rylie, I could see she was meant to be someone sparky and attractive, but her snarkiness for me just came over as aggressive and rude. I felt she was over prickly, and took out her problems on the other person – usually Mitch. Mitch himself seemed to have good intentions, but he was a bit too full of himself for me, and much of the time I felt he was pushing Rylie too hard. Add in the difficulty that there seemed to be long, long tracts of telling in this novel, and then short spaces of showing it by way of dialogue, and I just switched off. That’s me though – I love dialogue based books, they make me feel part of the story and I want to work out what's happened, what's going to happen, not be told it. There were things like Rylie’s past problems that I thought were going to have some major emotional line, but seemed to just tail off into nothing. I read the book only yesterday, but its hard to really recall much of the novel now, it had that little impact. Remember though – that’s just me, all readers enjoy different things and this could be perfect for you.
Stars: sorry, just two. That's not a refection on the book, doesn’t mean its not good, just that for me it didn’t work.

I think I might have enjoyed this book a lot more if I haven't read so many NA or adult romance stories. As it is, this book was boring. That is just my opinion. Others might really enjoy this and that's great.

Unfortunately, I found this book to be just surface. The plot was boring. I was hoping for a nice and light read, but this was just too underwhelming. There was too much inner monologue and there was lots of telling, not showing. I felt like this book could have also been a lot shorter since there was a lot of unnecessary recapping of previous scenes.

What I liked:
1) The dual povs.
2) The resistance of the h to the H in the beginning, however short lived it was.

What I didn't like:
1) Boring story.
2) Too much inner monologue.
3) The H was a serious a-hole.
4) The development of their relationship didn't make sense. The H went from being a manwhore, to only wanting the h, but he doesn't know why? Ugh. Give me a break. The part of the story when the MCs actually get to know each other was glossed over, robbing the relationship of some much needed credibility.
5) The h. Unable to resist the H's good looks and charms. Too insecure. Too socially awkward. Runs too much.
6) Too many sex scenes. I skimmed all of them after the first one. The H was too sexual and I felt like he only cared about that aspect of the h for most of the book. He wasn't really interested in her, just her body. Yick.

Rylie always kept her private life separate from her work life. She loves her job as a physical therapist, her family and her friends. Mitch brings out her wild and sensual side that she keeps well hidden, even from herself. Having Mitch as a patient was driving her crazy because with one simple touch on his sexy body, sparks flew wildly between them. She had never experienced a feeling like that before and she was afraid of what it could mean. Was Mitch the man she could take a chance on with her heart, or was he like the other men she had known, just interested in a quick hook-up without a commitment?

Mitch was persistent in his pursuit of Rylie, even demanding she accompany him on a business trip to Miami so she could continue her treatment while he was away. Mitch knew that a tropical environment and warm breezes would relax Rylie and hopefully give him the chance to get to know her better. Will Mitch succeed in warming Rylie’s heart while in sunny Miami? Will Rylie be able to resist his sexy glances and gentle caresses while they relax by the pool?

Too bad..

This could have been a good story. Actually, the story is worth a higher rating. The problem is the editing. Now, I can handle poor editing from indie authors, but this was way too much. Way too many wrong words. Throws you completely out of the story. I also had issues with the FMC descriptions. She went to college on a volleyball scholarship and was a tomboy but is a total klutz? She is strong and brave and constantly runs away? The biggest life changing event in her life and she never shares it? So, not a thumbs up for me. Too bad, I would have loved to read the bff's story.

Riley is what I wish I could be. Strong, motivated, athletic, smart and determined. Mitch is what I totally want in a man! Handsome, great sense of humor, smart as well and also determined. Love how the story played out, especially Mitch's sneaky ways to keep Rylie near. Surprised this was Sierra's first book as it was so well written! Brava and I'm on to Sasha and Jax's story!!!

Physical Touch was a very well written book with some great characters. I fell in love with Riley and her in your face humor, Sasha was the best friend that everyone wants, and Mitch is the HOT man you want to drag into bed. One of the things that I loved about how Ms Hill wrote the scenes was how real they seemed; Mitch would do a "manly thing" not thinking of it and Riley responded just as a women would, there were several of these moments and all I wanted to do was shake Mitch.

About half way through the book is where it really takes off and starts to get hot and steamy. There are several mouth water erotic scenes that wouldn't disappoint. While I loved the story of Riley and. Mitch I was a little sad at how rushed the ending was. While you're not left with a cliffhanger, the book would have been improved if the last few chapters were slowed down a bit or by even adding an extra one. Overall this was a great book and I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Hill.

I'm currently reading this sexually charged novel about Rylie, a physical therapist who is drawn to Mitch, her extremely sexy client. The writing is compelling, the storyline beautifully written and the characters have so much chemistry, you just can't wait for them to get together! There's a push/pull factor here that has me turning pages so fast, but I want to read slower to enjoy the build-up! Sierra Hill has done a bang-up job with her debut and I can't see what else she's got in store for us!

WAY TO GO Sierra Hill! Fantastic start to what I think will be a great writing career!
SO biggest plus was everything wrapped up in the end (epilogue) so there's no cliffhanger and or guessing! :) LOVED THAT!
The writing in this story keeps you turning the pages. You just will not want to put this book down and the chemistry between Rylie and Mitch is WAAAAY off the charts! HOLY STEAMY!!

this story had great potential. the writing was decent but a little elementary. it seemed a little long until the very end which seemed rushed. there seemed to be a little bit of foreshadowing about sasha and jackson so maybe there will be a 2nd book that will tie everything up. the story was somewhat predictable but the characters were good. i really liked jackson who wasn't even a main character.

i would definitely read more to the series if more were to come...

Took me a few chapters to get into the story but once I felt connected I devoured it. Loved Rylie. The endinh felt a little abrupt but over all nice happily ever after. Wish there'd been a scene where Rylie disclosed her accident to Mitch. Loved that she protected herself against Tully. And by the end I'd even fallen for Mitch despite him being an ass in the beginning.

They both have similar hang ups but I felt it made them have a better understanding of each other.
