Wrong or Write: Boxed Set

Rate this book
All three novels of the Wrong or Write series are finally in one boxed set.

Kim Naramore is young, naive, inexperienced, and hopelessly in love with wealthy author Dominick Parker.

Growing up together, she always imagined him becoming her husband, but when fate pulls them apart, time turns them into strangers. When they're reunited, Kim's not sure what Dominick is thinking anymore. All she knows is that he has an insatiable lust, and it seems to be entirely targeted on her.

Also included: Damaged (Behind Her Green Eyes) Dominick Parker's novel that gives you a glimpse into his past and what could have been.

Adjusting to a new town was hard for Tara Edwards. Luckily, she was able to find a friend in Darren Jones, the boy whose family owns half the city. He offered her protection and friendship, but what he wanted in return was more than Tara was willing to give.

Eventually, Tara leaves the city she grew up in, looking to start a new life. She soon finds that sometimes what you don't want is exactly what you need.

When tragic circumstances cause her to return to the city that she hates, it feels like everyone she has ever damaged is there to haunt her. Tara finds herself caught between two men, trapped between her past and her future.

Back and forth back and forth. That's what comes to mind while reading this book. But matter how much the back and forth between these characters go, for some reason, I just couldn't put it down.

Kim has had a crush on Dom since she was a child. But with a 12-year gap, he never saw her as anything more than his best friends sister. And because he was always in love with Tammy (Kim's sister-his BF) she never thought it would go anywhere.

Dom has become a famous author. He offers his house to Kim while she starts college. Little does he know that she will release her feelings for him. And his life will spiral out of control.

If these two didn't let anyone else outside the world into their life, they would be fine. But life happens and that makes their love very difficult.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Wrong or Write is an interesting, different take on an age gap romance.

Kim has been in love with her older sister's best friend since she was a kid. Now that she's headed to college, Dominick has offered for her to live with him while in school. At first Kim is ecstatic, thinking she'll get her chance with Dominick, but it soon becomes obvious that he doesn't see her that way, still sees her as a little girl, his best friend's little sister. As the months while away something turns the tide in their relationship when Kim's secretive act changes how he sees her. Now that he sees her as a woman, one he desires, can Kim keep her place in his life? What IS her place in his life? And how will Kim's sister react when/if she finds out how their relationship has changed?

I read this story back when it was released and really liked it. Re-reading it has given me an even better appreciation of it. Although it's not as steamy as some romances lately, I like the relationship between the two. It's not the usual domineering older man taking advantage of a much younger, virginal woman. For one, the fact that Dominick is Kim's older sister's best friend, and had been in love with her at one time, makes for a curious tension throughout the whole story, between all the three characters. And Kim is very forward for her age. I can't say that I loved her, or even Dominick, but I really liked their story for its uniqueness. The fact that I still remember it even though it's been years since I first read it, shows just how memorable I think it is.

And then there's Damaged, which is the novel Dominick had written within Wrong or Write. I read it back when it was released separately, and liked it too. It tells the story of a young girl, Tara, and boy, Darren, who become best friends when he defends her against the town bullies. He's in love with her and she doesn't return his feelings until she comes back to town as an adult. It's the story Dominick wrote telling of how he wished at the time his story had gone with Tamara, Kim's older sister, his best friend. I 4 starred it back when I first read it, and I feel that still stands. The only reason I couldn't 5 star it is because I couldn't stand the character of Tara, which is appropriate considering I didn't like Tamara in Wrong or Write. She was a selfish, self-absorbed character in Wrong or Write, and her character in Damaged isn't any better. Aside from Tara, though, I liked Damaged.

If you're looking for a different kind of age gap romance, give Wrong or Write a read, it's interesting, slightly out of the box and entertaining.

Don't check your brain at the door - you're going to need it to navigate this complex love story. Sky Corgan is one of those authors whose writing transcends the genre. She really makes you think, addresses the deep issues, and doesn't shy away from unpopular approaches. She does it all so brilliantly that you're left thinking about the story long after you're done reading.

The main story, Wrong or Write, is the romance of Kim and Dominic. Dom is much older, and is best friends with Kim's older sister Tammy, which explains how they met when Kim was a young child and also explains a large part of the complexity of their relationship. Throughout the entire journey, the reader is never more sure of the characters' true feelings and motivations than the characters themselves are, which makes the story raw and authentic but it can also be confusing, especially if you're expecting the usual breezy romance with predictable tropes and a clearly-marked path to the HEA. If you prefer your love stories with a little more meat to the bone, then this is the book for you. It's an epic romance, not just due to its length, but also the depth and breadth of the story it covers. Fascinating at times, heartbreaking at others, you'll feel like Dom and Kim are people you grew up with by the end of the book.

The "bonus" story, Damaged, gives us the messy friends-to-lovers romance of Tara and Darren. There is a lot of tenderness mixed in with the selfishness of youth, tempered by a bit of hindsight-enabled maturity. As a standalone romance itself, it's a five-star read. As a complement to the main story, it's nothing short of brilliant.

Books 1 and 2 in this box set are the story of Dominick Parker and Kim Narramore. Dominick is the best friend of Kim's older sister Tammy and Kim has had a crush on him for as long as she can remember. Dominick is in love with Tammy but she doesn't return his feelings so he moves away and mostly out of their lives. When Kim is ready to begin college out of state, Dominick, who is now a successful romance author, offers to let her stay with him. Eventually a relationship develops. I didn't like Tammy who seems to be blind to the fact that Dominick's in love with her. She's a pretty cold-hearted selfish biotch to him, in my opinion, considering they are supposed to be best friends and the sacrifices he made for her. Dominick is stiff and kind of cold with Kim except when he wants sex, so comes across as two dimensional character to me. No wonder Kim was never sure where she stood with him. Kim is kind of immature but I can excuse that considering her age. Overall I would rate these two stories 3 stars as a whole.

Now for the third book, Damaged. This is the book written by the character Dominick from the first two books. The main character in Dominick's book is named Tara and is largely based on Tammy. Tara is a selfish, unlikable, egocentric witch and I couldn't stand her. The character based on Dominick is named Darren but his name might as well have been doormat. I felt sorry for him but his happy ending is completely unbelievable. The best I can do on this book is 2 stars

Kim has always had feelings for her sister's best friend but was too young to know what they were. So she watched as her sister's happiness brought heartache to Dominick wanting nothing but to comfort him. He faded from their lives until Kim was about to go off to college. As luck has it he lives in the area she is going to school at and offers to put her up in his home while she goes to school. Kim wanted Dominick but wasn't sure how much clearer she can be especially when she tells him but he doesn't believe her. It takes seeing her in security video in his room when he was away to make him believe. They have their ups and downs in their relationship and outsiders try to break them up. There is some drama when a family member of Dominick's comes to stay with them but even that doesn't stop them from loving each other. When Kim's sister finds out she doesn't approve and stops speaking to her but Kim is sure her sister will find a way to accept her relationship. Can Kim and Dominick continue their relationship with so many against it?

Damaged is a story Dominick wrote about two young kids coming together even with the differences in their backgrounds. The story talks about them all the way up through their adulthood. The struggles they went through until they finally admitted they wanted to be together.

This was a great box set. If you haven't read anything by this author then this would be a great starting point. Once I started I could put it down.

Wrong or write is the box set of Sky Corgan's previously released duet book series The Wrong or Write with additional book Damaged.
Wrong or Write is the first book of the series in which Kim, a young girl crushes for her elder sister's best friend, Dominick, the man who look at her like a kid with their age difference but loves her elder sister. Dominick leaves the city after Kim's sister gets engaged to another and becomes a famous Billionaire author with his steamy romance books. Kim is all grown up now in a young lady and moves the same city where Dominick is, to do her graduate studies, when Dominick offers her a place to stay. She is no more his Kimlet now and with her sister out of their triangular love, she tries her luck in getting him for herself and succeeds in it.
Write or Wrong is the second book in the series, it covers the consequences Kim and Dominick face that may tear apart them after started dating each other while keeping their forbidden relationship as a secret
Damaged is an addition book personified to be Dominick's book, it about a girl named Tara who gets a new city and finds a friend in a man Darren but she runs away when she is unable to give what he wants. But when she is forced to return to the city, she is haunted between her past and future.
I enjoyed all the three books, each one of them are well written with amazing plot.

Sky Corgan is one author who captivates her readers from the onset and then it is a matter of holding on through the storyline. This is a compilation of three stories that are engaging and will keep your interest. The first is a twist on the older man/younger woman theme. As a young girl, Kim was raised by her older sister as her parents passed away. Helping to make ends meet was Dominick, Kim’s sister’s best friend. Dominick loved Kim’s sister but his feelings were never reciprocated. Kim was hopelessly in love with Dominick but he never saw her as anything more than his best friend’s younger sister. However, when Kim is ready to go away to college, she is offered the opportunity to go and live with Dominick. Will Kim make her dreams come true or will Dominick still see her as the young girl he once knew? The second book is Dominick’s story where he details the life that could have been if things had been different. The final story is about a woman named Tara. She is leaving to start fresh and create a new life. However, in her quest the men from her past and her future collide. Who will Tara choose?

I have read other Sky Corgan books in the past and this one was not my favorite.

Please don't get me wrong, it's an entertaining book but not my cup of tea at the moment.

I found the characters childish, immature and unreliable. Why? Because they can't seen to make up their minds about it.

As a new adult, Kim was in her role 100%. I did not enjoy her hot and cold behavior, mixed signals and drama, but like I said, for her age she was good.

As the bigger man in the room and the adult, Dom was just confusing to me. He acted like a bastard at time and at other times he was all over Kim. Like I said, I could peg his character or reasoning easily. Later I did.

The second and third stories were good but not outstanding. I guess I had high expectations but after looking at the date of publication I understood more.

I have read new books of Sky Corgan and this was a 2014 one, practically one of her first books. That little fact gave me perspective and I can appreciate the evolution of her writing.

I would recommend this book bundle for being Sky Corgan. The friends to lovers trope was well done even though the characters are a little annoying for me.

Romance between Kim and Dominic : Dom is 12y older than Kim, bf of Tammy (Kim's older sister) After an accident, both Tammy and Kim, lost their parents and Dom always helped around the house and py bills and raise Kim, who was 8 at the time. This little girl was always in love whith Dom, who was in love with tammy, and at one time his world shatered when Tammy married another guy. Then when Kim needs to go to University, the campus is fortunatily not far from where Dominic lives.
The story raw and authentic, confusing, complex. A cried for some part, then I laugh, but was also frustrated whith the characters at times. It's really a great journey, never more sure of the character's true feelings and motivations. There is nothing wrong with it, they are both adult.
It's an epic, the depth and breadth of the story is awesome. Fascinating at times, heartbreaking at others, you'll feel like they grew up at the end of the book.

Damaged "Bonus Story" : Story about Tarra & Darren, lot of tenderness, selfishness, temperament.

I have mixed feelings about these books. I am happy that it was a boxset so we move from one to the other. I was left a bit confused on reading book three as the main character in book 1and 2 seem to be the guy in book 3 but as a different person.
Obviously I read these going in blind, didn't go the blurb, goodreads, etc to see previous reviews.
So in both books 1 and 2 its about the same couple, although I found the relationship a bit strange and mostly one sided, there was not much to go on from Dominick side. He was a bit cold, harsh and just not wholly in the relationship that our girl was going for. Book 2 had a bit more to go with as we had a few scenes from Dominick, but still mostly Kim. Yes young love and I guess the author played it well as these books are probably what two different age groups would be like.
While I did not love the books and some moments I found it hard to get through, I liked them well enough and this would resonate with a lot of people finding themselves with love like this.

I read this book set as part of an arc program. The first two books are about the love story between Kim and Dominick. Kim's older sister Tammy and Dominick were childhood best friends and were 12 years older than Kim. When Kim and Tammy's parents died in a car crash, Dominick helped Tammy raise Kim. Dominick was in love with Tammy, but she didn't feel the same and when Tammy announced her engagement to another man, Dominick moved away. Dominick became a famous author and when Kim was accepted to college where he lived, he offered Kim a place to live. Kim has always loved Dominick and thinks now is her chance to show him she is not a little girl anymore. Dominick and Kim have a very emotional relationship with many ups and downs and many issues they have to work through. In the third book, it is the first book Dominick wrote and is loosely based on his love for Tammy and how things could have worked out between them. It was hard to stop reading this set once I started. It will leave you wanting to laugh and cry with plenty of steamy scenes between Kim and Dominick. Well done.

This book is about a girl who moves in with her sister's best friend who is in love with her. She hasn't seen him in several years and he's a stranger to her. Even though he's always loved her sister she's always loved him. They slowly get used to living with each other and that's when sparks fly. Could he have feeling for her too?

This was a cute book about Kim who is in love with Dominick her sister's best friend. She was young the last time they saw each other (he's 12 years older than her) but she's still in love with him. When she gets drunk one night and blurts out her feelings for her they have wild sex and that's when they relationship begins. It's a lot of back and forth with both of them doubting each other and their feelings for one another but they stick together all while Dom is hounded by his publishing company to keep deadlines on his books. For the first time there's something more important to him than his writing and that's Kim. This was a fun story.

I usually love this author's work but this set was not for me. Books 1-3 I did not particularly care for Dominick and Kim. Kim was too whiny and immature. Running back and forth between Victor and Dom when she couldn't get her way was too much.Dominick had some serious issues, he only seemed to want Kim after she tried to leave him.. every single time. I didn't like Tammy either because she was too selfish and oblivious. The fourth book was supposed to be about Dominick before he became Dominick. And I was utterly confused because I thought he knew Kim and Tammy when they were younger. But instead, there was this girl Tara, who was irritating as well. There was way too much-contrived drama going on. Kim was in college, how does she not know what a paramour is? Will I continue to read this author's work? Yes! Because she writes some seriously hot stories. I voluntarily read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

A Wonderful Bundle of 3 Great Stories
This is a set of three wonderful stories by Sky Corgan.  If you haven't read anything by her before then this is an excellent set to start you off on being one of her fans.  I like her writing style which is a result of excellent research and character development so that you almost feel 'invested' in their lives. Kim and Dominique's story really pulled at my heart. She was so young compared to him but she just 'knew' that he was her One and Only.  But he thought that he knew better and that she deserved more so he left.  You will learn what happens to him when he leaves and how this effects his character later on. A well paced set of stories that you won't want to put down and will probably, like me, want to re-read in the future as they are so good.  I'm making my way through her published stories and each one is a delight.

DEFINITELY  RECOMMENDED.

Starting off with this boxset was so confusing with all the love stories and different people. I was most definitely ready to tackle the stories because if you read anything by this amazing author, you will get a ride of your life. Roller coaster full of love, sex, wild rides, pain, heartbreak but overall a happily ever after. This book went through all the details of their lives and it pulled you into their lives as if it were your own. Then after it all, you get the bonus book at the end yayyyyyy! Must read! Definitely a page turner and worth the money!

I am apart of an ARC team. I read this book voluntarily and this review is in my own honest words.

Wrong or Write Boxed Set by Sky Corigan: **** Overall good
Wrong or Write by Sky Corgan: **** different, but good
This was different from anything I’ve read before. It was overall sweet and sexy, with some drama and angst and ending with a HFN. I enjoyed it!
Write or Wrong by Sky Corgan: ***** Really good
I liked this story the best of the series, probably because both Kim and Dom knew what they wanted and were able to overcome the many obstacles to their relationship.
Damaged by Sky Corgan: ****
This story was good, but the storyline revolves around a selfish woman who makes stupid stupid mistakes before ultimately finding herself and getting her HEA. Darrin is a dream!

I’m torn between loving and/or hating this book. I’ll settle with liking it. My rating is about 3.5. I appreciate the various tropes intertwined within these books but I could not seem to warm up to the characters nor could I sense a genuine affection between the main characters. Damaged... what can I say. I get what the author was doing but I can also see the confusion a reader may have when reading it. It was all a mixed bag for me. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

I actually rate this 4.5 stars but half stars aren't an option. This is a 3 book series that meets every one of your wildest expectations of stories in this genre! Sky embraces your every emotion with tons of drama, steaminess, and characters you want to interact with. Kim and Dominick embroil you in their story as they meet and confront their challenges with all your emotional checks on hold. You are drawn in from the beginning and don't want to put it down, till you get to the end of the 3rd book. Dom and Kim

This story started off great. I loved that idea that Kim knew and loved her Prince Charming since she was little. What got to me was Kim's constant thoughts of "does he or what ifs?" I get that she's extremely naive but she still had those thoughts a year into their relationship. At that point, I yelled at her (through my e-reader) to just have a open conversation with the guy.
Overall, it was still an enjoyable story.

I did read this series a few years ago, but was glad to have the opportunity to read it again. Dominick and Kim's story was well written, interesting, and well paced. Although I'm kinda ambivalent about the two main characters themselves, the story was good. Faster read than the book length would have you believe. 3 1/2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Strangely I had forgotten I had already read these until I started reading and once again the stories sucked me right in 😊 I got a bit confused both being Dominick Parker? So was the first books the books he wrote and second the real him??? Or the other way around??? 🤔🤔🤔 BUT anyway I did enjoy them, found in Damaged I still loved Darren and thought Tara was REALLY selfish! 😡

This boxset was great. Loved the characters. Though they were a little hot and cold with each other. She’s always loved him. His biggest fear is to be left and abandoned again. Lots of things to overcome. Especially loved the last story. But it’s kinda sad too. He’s loved her for so long and it took her forever to finally return those feelings. Cute story within a story. Loved it all.

This contains three books.

Kim has been in love with Dominick almost he whole life. Unfortunately for her, he is older and in love with her sister. When she moves in with him, keeping her feelings contained becomes impossible. Though times ahead in this one. Great story.

Also included is the book the character Dominick in the first book wrote. A friends to lovers story.
