It started with a game, a very different computer game, and a desire to know a life so intriguing and different from my own. I had just started to venture out with my own work at my father’s private investigating firm when our paths crossed on purpose. My purpose. I never expected things to go the way they did. I never expected him to be so nice and handsome. I couldn’t be number four. How could any woman love a man with more than one wife? Not only was it impossible, it was ridiculous. There was no way I was getting any closer. I was going to get in, dig around a little, and get out. That’s it. Does anything ever turn out the way we plan? Becker Cole’s wives were not the typical, obedient little housewives wearing aprons and submitting to him I had pegged them to be. They were cute, young and full of life. I loved them. All three of them. And somehow, I loved Becker too. Could I swallow the persona that society expected me to be and share him, or was this too much? Was I ready to be a part of this world? And if I wasn’t… could I just walk away?

I am a story teller, a life coach, and sometimes a little crazy. I’m at an amazing time in my life where doors are opening, adventures are happening, and new friends are being made. Life is fun and I want to share that joy with the world. I’m Jettie and I am unapolgetically me.

I really struggled with this book all the way through. The writing was okay, but the story jumped so much, it drove me crazy. Not to mention the characters, who besides the polygamist, were very flat and uninteresting. There were areas that held my interest and that's why this book is a three for me.

Let me just say am actually a fan of this Author she writes some amazing anti hero
but this book was just all over the place I mean i Hated every character the heroine was such an idiot who was so ditzy the hero was an ass!! the bff was more worries about getting laid then actually supporting the h and then would get mad if the h didnt help her get laid and i also really hated the fact the H kept pushing the h into joining his way of life she kept saying no even towards the 90% mark he kept forcing her to be one of his wives when she already said she coudnt do it..... UGH this book just gave me a huge headache!!

The polygamist community has always fascinated me. The lifestyle. 1 man with more than 1 wife. Several women sharing their husband. How do they all live together? Do the wives get jealous of each other? Are they all religious? how does it affect their children?
I’ve watch all the shows, TV dramas and reality TV around the polygamist communities and even the cults. It still fascinates me how people can live this kind of lifestyle.

This story is about a young nieve woman called Cass, who is a scatterbrained messy slob at home with an addiction to the home shopping network, but she has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Cass has lived an extremely sheltered life - kept unhealthily close to her father at all times. She has witnessed horrific trauma at a very young age and is forced to grow up within, and then eventually work along side her father at the detective agency he runs - just so he can always keep her close, and more importantly kept safe.
There are a lot of unanswered questions and secrets surrounding her childhood and in time all the truth will be revealed.

After seeing a case about this man, Becker Cole, a polygamist. Cass is intrigued by his life and is desperate to find out more about him and his 3 wives. She didn’t expect him to be so nice and so handsome and certainly didn’t want or intend to fall in love with this man.

Be ready to go on this roller coaster with Cass, her friends and family.
It’s gritty, emotional and in true Jettie fashion expect the unexpected at every turn.
I fell in love with Cass, Becker and every character in this story, even the unlikely hero had me captivated.
This is a beautiful story about finding love in the least expected of places.

Meg's Review:
Jettie has done it again!

You know how everyone has those few authors that they will read anything from? No matter the novel? Jettie is one of those authors for me. She never disappoints. Every novel she puts out is a phenomenal work of the mind. She is a Must Read Author. This novel? No exception. It was fantastic! Can I be Picked please?

"That's it. I needed a chastity belt for my mouth. One that wouldn't allow stupid to fall out."
Meet Cass. Cass reminded me of a naive Veronica Mars type character. Working for her fathers PI firm on her first cases, Cass is kinda of a mess. With lots of questions, no answers, and a mess of chaos that make her everyday life more chaotic, Cass has no idea what she is doing or where she is going. Enter a new hot game that her friend convinces her to try out.  From the moment she messaged back on that game her life was changed.

Hello Becker Cole.  Becker has a life that not everyone agrees with. Even Cass comes to find out that Becker and his life aren't what they seem. But once she opens that door? The one that hold his secrets? She can't look back. This life appeals to her in some way and she even when her mind says no, her heart is screaming yes.

PickedTeaser

This isn't a terribly dark novel like what we have gotten from Jettie recently. It is unique as always, and it does contain those twists and turns you don't see coming. Cass and Becker's story is one I loved. Both the  characters grabbed me in their own way. Cass with her clumsy and messy personality, and Becker with his.. Just Becker-ness. HE is alpha without being an ego-face, and still adages to melt my heart. This is another Must read form Jettie. With fantastic writing, characters you will love,a nd a plot line that most certainly keeps your interested, ONe-Click and get #Picked.

First let me say that I am one of the lucky ones that got to read this amazing book before release day.

It came to me a few chapters at a time and I was literally begging for more. I had several other books to read and review BUT couldn't get into any of them because my mind was only on Cass, Becker and Matt.
No lie, there were times out of no where my mind would wonder off and I would be playing out different scenarios in my head of what might happen next.

Whether you've read all of Jettie Woodruff's books or none..this one is sure to be at the top of your list once you've read it. I am not one to reread stories but this will remain on my kindle forever because I simply love these characters and the way they all grow along with the story. Truly amazing read that will tug at your heart and it's totally relatable. I'm that girl that just can't get into a book unless I can actually envision it happening...I want to feel as if I am right there with them while I read. This one did just that...it will suck you in right away with the "different " story line and have you scratching your head saying this is just crazy...who does that then the next minute you are on the edge of your seat.

I don't ever post spoilers but trust me when I say this is one you want to add to your TBR list. I felt as if I were glowing right after reading this because it was just that good but now after having a few hours to take it all in I am feeling such a loss knowing the beautiful journey is over. #purebookbliss

Enjoy !!!

Um... WOW. WTH happened?! I thought this was a taboo love story and thinking outside the box. I don't even know where to begin. Initially the story was slow. But then Becker happened and OMG he was amazing. Not an Alpha but a definite assertive Beta...lol. I mean he made the story for. I just knew Cassie would overcome her reservations and be with him, because a little piece of Becker was better than nothing. I struggled right along with Cassie in her dilemma. Normally I hate an indecisive heroine, but in this case I totally understood. This relationship with Becker was so outside the norm.

But then Becker dissapeared, and the book became a full blown knock off mystery. Cassie discovered some things about her past, but never really stood up to her father (which was irritating as hell), Becker came back and the 3 wives were coviently delt with. This is where I satrted to hate Cassie. Because she finally got what she wanted and she couldnt be happy! And you know where we ended up? RIGHT IN THE FREAKING BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so devistated at how this book turned out. It had so much potential. A strong 4 stars at 50%, but it couln't maintain that status. This was your regular contemporary romance with a dab of taboo. I need more than a dab, I need all out shock factor. SMH... I could continue to rant about how I was tricked by the blurb, but I'm going to let it go. A reader's life isn't easy...

I love Jettie! All of her books make me think and wonder and feel ... so amazing. I love that Jettie is never afraid to write about a taboo topic, and she does it great.

I am more than slightly obsessed with Polygamy and Amish and all things foreign to my life. When Jettie first told me her book would feature a little Poly action I freaking flipped my lid with excitement. HELLO, I love it! I am also more than slightly obsessed with crime and murder and PI's .. this book was literally a match made in my own personal heaven.

Cassie is a girl who never had a proper childhood. Mom died when she was 6 3/4yrs old and her life changed. Her father, being a hard ass PI raised her the only way he knew how ... at his desk working. Of course in her early 20's that is now where she works :) She doesn't love her job, her house or her life, but she has a dad who loves her and a friend who is amazing and mostly supportive. Dating has also never been her thing, but luckily now a days the internet can help with that.
Becker Cole, creator of an amazing unique video dating game is a polygamist. He is currently husband to three wives and is very intriguing to Cassie. Under temporary investigation, Cassie gets his file and instantly wants to learn more. She is already a member of the internet dating game Becker created and seeks to find him online. Little does she know, he is closer than she thinks.
Cassie's life is full of surprises. I love the way Jettie is able to braid her stories together. Two, three, twelve different situations all running around in my mind at the same time AND has a good ending ... its a true art form.

I refuse to give any spoilers, and Jettie builds her books so that I honestly can't give much away without spoiling something. What I can say ~ read it! I guarantee you will surprised more than once, and I guarantee you will be satisfied with the overall feel and ending of the book :)

Thanks for another beautiful night of reading Jettie <3

Let me say I was one of the lucky ones who got to read this book first. I have always been a fan of Jettie's books. That woman knows how to write a good book. I read this book in chapters at a time and believe me it was very hard to continue reading other books because my mind would always go straight back to Picked. Once I received the ending, I could finally breathe! I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end it keeps you guessing how things will play out. The main characters Cass and Becker will steal your hearts from the first page. I try not to write reviews with spoilers but please add this book to you TBR!! But believe me you will meet some interesting people in this book and I was always trying to figure out who was in on what or how will this love story end for Cass and Becker. Even though I loved Cass's character very much, Becker stole my heart. There were many times I wanted to scream to the top of my lungs at Becker to get his act together. But just keep reading until the very end and all things come together. This will be a book I read again and also buy in paperback it's that good. I can't wait for everyone else to read this .. So add it to your TBR NOW!!!!!

3.5 stars

When I read the synopsis, I was like 'Holy shit! Polygamy!' but I was kind of hesitant to read it and I wanted to know how it would end before reading it, so that's what I did, I read the ending, and I was happy about how it ended.

The story started quite boring, but thankfully it didn't last long.

Rating a novel has always been a problem of mine, whether to rate a 3.5 story as 3 or 4. I wanted to rate this novel as 3.5 = 3, because of the love scenes and the writing style was kind of just okay. I did skip a few when a scene didn't interest me. Anyways, I chose 4 instead of 3 because of the plot, for me, it's unique. It's the first time that I've read a story about polygamy.

The love scenes didn't appeal to me, it was NAY. It wasn't hot at all, it was boring. but thankfully, I like the story no matter how the love scenes sucked.

I'm not very satisfied with the story because I think it's short and I could think of so many scenarios that should have been a part of this. I would love to read more about them but I don't think it would be that interesting anymore. Maybe Mason's story?

Throw every preconceived notion about polygamy out the window before reading this book. I mean it, just toss it. Go in with an open mind.
Only Jettie can make you fall for guys that you always said, "No freaking way! Never in a million years!" Um, hello, remember Drew???
This is the first book about multiple wives that I read and I was ready for an episode of Bad Girls Club or Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Instead, what I got was a beautiful story about Cass and Becker and the unexpected love that blossomed all because of a game.
This story is so different from anything else that I have read. I don't know how Jettie does it, but she makes you think. She makes you skirt the boundaries of everything that you think you know and opens your mind like no other author can. There wasn't a character I didn't like, with the exception of Cooper. He's a grade a jerk. But Becker is every girls dream. Sweet, attentive, funny, his only flaw...he has 3 other wives. And you don't hate them either. You want them to be your best friend. Each one brings a different dynamic to the relationship and you begin to think of them as one unit. Then there's Cass. Is she the addition, or the exception? She wears her heart on her sleeve and when she falls, she falls hard. I like Cass because she's normal. She isn't perfect. She's a bit naive, she's a tad awkward, her family is a mess and yet, she somehow holds it together. Just don't ask about the clutter in her house.
You really need to one click this immediately. It will hook you from the first chapter and you won't want to put it down. It's no secret I'm a huge Jettie fan, and after reading this, you better be too.

*I was kindly gifted an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review*

I've never read a book about the subject of men with multiple wives. I've always been curious about the subject even though I know I couldn't live that lifestyle. So when Jettie told us she was writing a book surrounding a game creater who lives this lifestyle, well I was like Ok, let's see how well my jealousy can handle this Lol As normal, Jettie did an amazing job and I loved it. I don't think there is any subject that Jettie can't write and turn into a 5 star read.

Not only were cassie and Becker wonderful characters, so were all the others. Each character plays an important part on how Cassie's future will turn out for her. There's also a mystery surrounding Cassie's story that she doesn't even know exist until things start happening showing her that her life isn't what it's always seemed. I didn't know if I would be able to like Becker but I did and I loved his others wives too but I can totally understand Cassie's misgivings about the whole situation being that I could be the only woman. 1 particular scene my green eyed Monster came out and I don't think I would have handled it as well as Cassie did even though she stumbled on it by accident. Anyhow, awesome, different type of story. Go check it out.

The blurb for this book pulled me in. I've always wondered about the Poligamy community, how do you devide your time between your wives, what do the wives get out of it, why do you need more than one wife. Cassie is a naive girl who has been sheltered by her father after a life changing event, she hates her job working with her dad but doesn't know how to tell him. Someone contacts her dad's PI firm to investigate if her sister is being held against her wishes by Becker who has 3 wives. Cassie is intrigued and curious and when she meets Becker the attraction is something she cańnot resist. Can Cassie come to terms with knowing she will be number 4, can Becker love one woman? There are several stories running throughout the book and you can feel confusion that Cassie feels and that is a testament to Jettie's amazing writing, what is a difficult subject for many is told beautifully and without prejudice.

I was gifted this book for a honest review

I love all of Jetties books and this is no exception, she has a unique writing style and is never afraid to touch on taboo subjects which many would shy away from.

I just loved this book from the first chapter till the last,it was steamy full of lies and deceptions and you never knew where the next one was coming from.

The plot was, will she, won't she, will he,won't he!!!

A fantastic 5* read that will have you wishing for more.

It all added up.

**SPOILER ALERT**
This book is a good romance read. Ms Woodruff has a way with stories , she's a true storyteller. You cannot read one of her books and get bored. So as you can guess this book was interesting it kept me glued to the very end.

So why only 3stars the heroine was a bit too guile like the saying " dump blonde bitch" for my taste. I mean there where times were the clue was staring her right at the face and she never had a clue. It was so frustrating that i wanted to fling the kindle. Then there is the fact that her job was a private investigator. But she didn't even know the basics that anyone would know by watching CSI shows on tv. That was just plain stupid I know she wasn't interested in the job but come on .

I also have another complain with Ms Woodruff she can write a book with mystery keeping the readers thinking what will happen next but her characters always lack in passion and steam. She's very vague in the romance sector maybe she should try her hand in only mystery thriller fiction not romance. At time whenever I've read her books the romance, sex, stemyness seemed vague to the point that it felt like . When you watch a film and a sex scene would come up or something steamy . Your parents would just forward the scene and as a child you would wonder what was going on . That's how vague the author is all the time with her characters in romance.

Characters I see as:

Cassie as:- Kendall Jenner
Brecker as:- joeseph Morgan.
Matt as:- Robert doweny Jr

My perspective. Picked was good for the first 80%. Not give star good, since there was a bit of hiccups, but it kept my interest, and the characters were engaging. I must be honest: I did not like Cass's BFF. She was self absorbed and more concerned about men than her best friend's feelings. The issues of loving a man with four wives was dealt with honestly and with compensable emotion.

So, why the low review? The last 15%. I've had rushed ending books before, but not anything as confusing as this. I literally felt off balanced. Someone did something horrible to Cass, but it was almost as if the author had a deadline, and just used the bad thing to tie up a loose end. The whole ending was a pretty red bow of "perfect" that didn't match the rest of the story. It's too bad because that first 80-85% was good, emotional, and honest. The ending was pure fairytale eye roll. I've read another later book by this author, and I know her writing has improved. I kind of hope, one day, she picks up this book and rewrites the ending as the rest of the book deserves.

This book was strange, But awesome! The first few chapters of this book I was like what the hell am I reading? A video game couple really? It begins with a video game. But it's so so much more! Becker has 3 wife's. Cassie is fascinated by him, But she can't be number 4 she loves all the girls, But every time she see's him with one of them she want's to rip their hair out. She doesn't want to share. I had mixed feelings about Becker. He seemed to love her but he couldn't seem to put her first.

It didn't change the fact that I still felt second, like he had to to have help before choosing me. ~Cassie

Cassie on the other hand I loved her character she didn't let him run over her. She wanted her man all to herself or nothing.

This is for sure not your everyday read if you are looking for something different then this is your book.

The heroine was ditzy with a side of scatterbrain which I thought was adorable. I usually hate characters like her but I admire her tenacity to not compromise in her beliefs. I know some of you might not get her but push through, it'll get better or at least it did for me. A lot of craziness happens all at once but it held my attention throughout. I don't know why I enjoyed this book so damn much but I guess I was in the mood for it. It would have been a solid 5 stars but I didn't like the whole concept of how they met. *shrugs* It's my opinion. Do I recommend it as an in between read? Absolutely!

I loved this book. It was light-hearted, funny and mysterious. Secrets surrounding Cass and whether Becker’s love for her was the exception or similar to that of his other three wives kept me entranced and glued to my Kindle. I really liked Cass and found her endearing. She was funny, flighty, bubbly, and genuine though she had issues for example her obsession with buying useless stuff on the home shopping network and was a total slob. Funny moments in the book really cheered me, for example, when Cass tried to brush off “Beer Guy” while navigating the online dating game. I would pick this book anytime.

I am so happy to read this story. I loved it! So different than other books the concept was awesome and I love the way the story evolved. So many twist and turns. I loved the message in between the lines and maybe not soni between the lines. Love is different for everyone who are we to judge what is right for someone else. I really loved the heroine in story. She is strong yet not but she ultimate stuck to her guns.
The only issue I had was that some transitions of story were blunt and I was having to go back and re read thinking maybe I missed a page or paragraph but that is the beta reader in me.
Definitely a must read!!!!
