A beautifully written forbidden love story, Harmony and Gabe. Although this novel is not my normal reading genre, I loved it. The plot is well structured, is not predictable, with an easy writing style and enough twists and turns to keep me interested. The characters are all believable and endearing. Refreshingly the novel is suitable for any age. What more can I say without putting spoilers in. Looking for a cute, magical romance? Then this novel is for you.

Nice 1st installment

The story surrounding Harmony and Gabe started off with a flare and a number of twists and turns. This had me speculating throughout the entire book what would happen next. Although this is a departure from my normal genre, I'm glad i picked this up and consumed the tale of these two and their endless desire to do good.

I won this book through a First Reads giveaway here on Goodreads. I couldn't find the giveaway webpage anymore but I decided to write a review anyway.

I was a bit disappointed by this book, since as I expected more from it.
The story isn't new or unpredictable: it was quite easy to understand what the characters were going to do. But anyway, even if the plot is something already seen dozens of times, it was not so bad and readable enough. On the contrary, there were even things that I liked, like the way K. A. Sardis represents heaven and hell, because it is exactly the way I imagine them.

What I didn't like were essentially three things. First of all, there were a lot of cliches: the pretty girl who feel depressed, the bully who mistreat her almost without a real reason, the two hot guys who like her even if she is ignored by everyone, so that it was easy to build a love triangle. Secondly, the way it is written: sometimes I found it difficult to follows its development or the links between one scene and the other; moreover, in my opinion the author should have given more attention to some part of the story because it felt like they were written to quickly, without thinking twice about how effective they are.

The conclusion surprised me, even though i still don't know if in a good way or in a bad way. I expected the "happy ever after" conclusion but it was different.
I have read that she is going to write a sequel. I am not sure, but I think I am going to read it when it will be released. I am a bit curious about where their story will lead

My Winged Protector is one of those books you don't know anything of that blows you up as soon as you start reading. I have to say, I finished the book in one day and absolutely loved it.
I found Harmony's voice easily relatable and she was an awesomely normal, everyday girl, which made her likeable. In the first pages we see a girl who is sick of her entire life, but she grows a lot through the novel -and I loved that. She may be one of my favorite YA protagonists.
Now, with Gabe... THE STRUGGLE IS REAL! I'm pretty sure we all want a Gabe, that hot, protective guy with gold eyes that's always there for you, giving you strenght. I fell in love with him fast and also liked seeing him grow in the book.
TBT, I found myself fangirl-ing a lot with this book. My friends are probably fed up with it and will probably hit me with something if I keep talking about it, but the book is that good. :)
I don't like giving a lot of details of the story because I'm one of those persons who like to start a book with almost no info, but it's a brilliantly-written plot with lots of romance and heart-wrenching moments.
I give it 4.5 stars because they were some gramatical errors and such, but the story had me hooked up from start to finish. It DID felt like a Wattpad read, but it's definitely one of the good ones.
