I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I've stopped reading comics a long time ago but having read Empress has renewed my interest. I thoroughly enjoyed Empress and I'm excited to read the rest of the series. My only issue is that the artist uses a bit too much black a softer shade would make the characters look better

I would like to see what happens next?

A film studio may have some mystery behind it. And the couple sent to investigate have secrets of their own. In this double mystery with a noir set in the 1930's

The girls need some more attractive look to there faces. Not to be taken as a bad for artists, just a suggestion.

Interesting plot (silver screen starlett and hobbyist adventuress goes missing before completion of a film for a cash-strapped studio, prompting an exec to bring in a private eye to find), but the art really brings this one down - does not get across the "feel" of the period, looks too digital, and people aren't differentiated well.

I like the concept very much a missing movie star at the start of the talkie eaa but I thought the art and colors don't do the script justice they are too bright and the art feels blocky I was given a copy to review I want to read more it's just the art bothered me

So having just read through the forty or so pages of this comic debut I find myself curious more than anything, as with all Noir tales this one leaves you pondering on many questions. It also does a great job at slowly having you dredge knee deep through the murk and darkness that soon becomes apparent. The art style is one that I found unique and eye-catching, somewhat reminiscent of cell shading. Or to me at least I'm not an expert on such things, the protagonists of the comic Rose and Niles make a somewhat unlikely but amusing contrast and seem to have differing aims. To wrap up I'll start by saying that I have the full set of comics so far from issues 1 to 7 and intend to review each and every one so watch this space.
