January 2019 volume of haiku. There are 3 volumes now a year. My rating is probably low. Am reading Richard Wright’s book of Haiku which is quite good at same time and Haiku Mind which is wonderful. Don’t mean to contrast but that’s what’s happening.
What I find interesting here are the different ways of writing haiku. Am in the learning phase. We were offered 6 haiku on mid-life by same author and that was quite nice. Reading them independently and as a group they were different of course; yet as I brought my attention to them in a group I was living their loss in a new way. .
Also appreciate how people write haiku and what people write about. There is a lot of variety here. I will continue to pick up this volume and explore it more and reread the generous offerings.
