Dean St. James can’t believe a single blog post ruined his comfortable life. He’s forced to look for another place when his parents kick him out of their apartment. In a moment of total insanity, Dean confronts the writer of the damaging blog post and is surprised when she offers him a place. Dean needs balls of steel if he's going to live with the sexy writer, especially since she has a penchant for a silk robe that falls open and flashes him the sexiest body he's ever seen.
Lace decides she has to make up for Dean's sudden predicament and invites him to move in with her—she could use the rent. She doesn't expect Dean to be as sexy as he is. But with his habit of walking around shirtless and his swoon-worthy body she suddenly needs to get a grip on her hormones. Losing her virginity to Dean becomes Lace's top priority if she can win Dean's trust and show him he means just as much to her minus his parents' wealth.
Kindle Edition 3 stars I really liked the story. The shy, introverted, bookworm, writer Lace Higgins meets Dean St. James under unusual circumstances. Dean is a rich kid, only child, surfer, overachiever is trying to forget the tragic accident he was in. He’s desperate to leave it all behind but when his parents throw it in his face constantly, it’s hard to do. Something Lace wrote about Dean in her blog brought him to her door. He becomes her roommate, because she feels so sorry for what she wrote & how it affected him. Dean & Lace have an instant attraction to one another. Their chemistry is palpable but Lace is a virgin & Dean is broken. Will their relationship go to the next level? Are they both too scared to open their hearts? Why 3 stars you ask? While I really liked the story, there were so many inconsistencies. In one chapter it says Dean is 25 years old, in another it says he’s 20. In one chapter, it says Dean is in his room. In the next it says he’s out jogging. It really needed a good editing because it really took me out of the story. It made me have to keep looking back & forth to figure out which fact was correct, which just irritated me.
