Book 1 "Down to One" was better. There were a few things I didn't like in Down to Two.

1. There were many scenes from the villain announcer/producer's point of view. Why would I care what the villain is doing? I hated those scenes.

2. The villain turns up the hero's control to "10" which means he gets bigger, and cannot speak at all, just bark and growl. So for half of the game the hero can't talk and they still have sex. It was weird.

SPOILERK SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

3. In book 1, the rebels hacked the feed and showed the galaxy how the producers cheated at the game. There was lots of outrage.

In this book 2, the bad guys get away with it. They tell everyone the remaining couples are living happily on the same planet where the games were held and ask for donations for them to build houses and buy food. The corporation keeps this money.

All of the remaining couples were rescued by the couple who won the first game and taken to a planet that doesn't allow slavery. But nobody knows this. The network is even planning to pretend the couples had kids to get more donations. Yet the rebels don't tell anybody about these lies.

Book 3 will feature the two "geneslaves" who refused to kill the hero.

This was another exciting addition to the series and I loved all the twists, intrigue and emotions in it. Two very different characters get paired up to win a race to avoid death. Well, as you may imagine, this premise leads the reader on a perilous journey full of danger, determination, kindness and sizzling chemistry. I definitely recommend exploring this exciting series and look forward to the next book :D

Sexy alien romance

Super sexy and exlirating scary alien version of the Amazing race. Death is given out to the losing contestants. I was feeling a bit weird that the MC wasn't humanoid looking.

Naive human ‘n Genuslave vs TGN ‘n Galactic Federation

Second story of a new series within the Galaxy Universe about an alien reality show. Can absolutely be read as a stand-alone, but for maximum reader satisfaction, I highly recommend it be read in series order. There are a few reoccurring characters, the same antagonist with overarching themes.

** There are multiple scenes, themes and references to subjects that will be difficult for sensitive readers. These include abduction, enslavement, mental health challenges, and trafficking. A high-level list is included below. **

— Although I try to watch it, if you have not read this, or the previous story in the series, the following may contain spoilers. —

‘Down To Two’ is an alien PPV reality show, that ends up with some NSFW scenes. Whoever said networks were dumb, hasn’t heard of The Galaxy Network (TGN) … in this story they took the parts that worked well from their first special (from a monetary perspective anyway), and try to force the new ‘participants’ to replicate it. The good news? The network executive behind most of the issues is no more. The bad news? The nasty, psychopathic moderator, Jahzara Zedd, is the one who proposed the concept and now serves as the mastermind behind the scenes.

There are dark themed subjects, but Alana Khan handles them with a sense of humor, sometimes subtle, sometimes not, but still highly effective. There is lots of action, excitement and 🔥 scenes. The story universe and characters are quirky and well developed, even if a few of the animals may show up in my nightmares, it is alright, the story was still worth it!

The characters are well defined. There are some scenes that made me LOL until tears were running down my cheeks, others that made me gag, and some that were heartfelt and emotional. That is one of the things I am really enjoying with her stories. She always makes them come to life and keeps me engaged.

I mention the following for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. There are a few grammatical errors, but nothing difficult to interpret. These include incorrect word choice, punctuation, and capitalization, as well as inconsistent data regarding possessive words ending in ‘s’. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

Sadie is a human female that was abducted from Earth. She woke up 32 days ago, but truly has no idea how long ago she was taken. After she failed to sell at a couple of slave auctions, mainly due to her smaller stature, ahem, she was brought to an older cruise spaceship and sold to TGN. They told the women they were competing in a new Galaxy-wide game show. She has no desire to be famous, but she is very competitive. Sadie is sure she can rock what sounds like the alien version of “The Amazing Race”. The winners will be given a parcel of land and a stipend.

The females were given a dress to wear and a bag of makeup that was dropped into the room. No way was she going to fight it out with the masses, so makeup free it is. Now if she could only do something about the ill fitting outfit. Being very ‘petite’ has its drawbacks everywhere it seems. Then they are brought into a large room where there are 50 males.

1213 is a genuslave that was brought to the ship. He does not have any idea why he was brought there, or what he is supposed to do. 1213 knows he is to be involved in a game that must be important, so he will do what he had been trained to do: observe and plan.

Then females of all species enter the room, followed by Miss Zedd. She explains that they are to be paired up and must win together. The men will pick the female of their choice in the order voted on by viewers. They are given some time to ‘mingle’ while they vote. 1213 continues to observe. There are only a couple of gladiators in the men, so he is confident he will receive enough votes to be in the top few. He mentally compiles a list of his top choices.

Sadie knows she is tiny and will be picked toward the end, but no one is more determined than she is to win. She evaluates the males to figure out whom she could maybe make an alliance with that she wouldn’t have to worry about him violating her. Sadie’s eyes are drawn to the canine looking alien, he would be her choice.

Then it is time to pick. Every male is called before 1213. How is he last? And the only female remaining? The tiny human, his last choice …

⛔️ Story contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy 🔥 adult intimate; violence throughout typical of the genre, such as abduction, murder / death, genetic modifications to create genuslaves utilized by the military as killing machines, human (species) trafficking, enslavement, pain/kill collar, mental, physical and sexual abuse of adults and children, etc.

Sadie was abducted from Earth and woke up on a slaver ship with 50 other females. They are told they are going to compete in a reality game show. She figures it can’t be much worse than being abducted from Earth. Boy is she wrong!

1213 is a genslave which is a combination of many types of DNA, depending on the results they want. He has never known anything but cruelty in his life. He isn’t sure why he was picked for the games, but is used to doing as he is told.

When the 50 males and 50 females are put into a ballroom and told the males would be picking their partners in the order the viewers voted, 1213 figures he will be one of the first chosen, but somehow he ends up being last and the only female left is the smallest, puniest female he has ever seen. When they get to their room, 1213 orders her around and makes sure she is prepared for the morning. When they are woken way before dawn and herded onto a ship, she understands why she was ordered to sleep in their clothes. They are assigned a number in the order they got to the ship. They are number two out of the 50. When the game starts she is shocked by the cruelty she sees. 1213 is not! When she finally figures out the only couple that will survive the games alive are the winners, she is beside herself with grief.

As they are forced to work together to survive, they begin to respect the strengths each person brings to each other. Size and strength is not the only thing that matters in these games!

I loved how the relationship developed between Sadie and 1213. He has never know any kindness until Sadie. Her compassion for him is heartwarming. Don’t miss the second book in the series. I think is might even be a little stronger than the first!

Fabulous book!💖🔥 this series is awesome!!

"Down to one" was awesome but "Down to two" was absolutely deliciously fabulous! Fast laser non stop action that takes place on a desert like Jurassic park world where everything is out to kill or eat you! Jahzara Zedd the evil host of the Galaxy Games is back to torment and torture a who new season of contestants for this new season. She's going to make sure more people did and that the one being who has been slated for the worst possible death actually dies this time before the end! Sadie is an abducted earth woman who has a gymnastics and silk sheet and rope dancing background and 1213 a genetic slave made up of May different species in a lab to be a deadly warrior. He looks like a very sexy Egyptian God of death Anubis. In order to survive they must work together and defeat the challenges facing them. Along the way they discover that each of the brings unique gifts to the partner ship. The intensely dangerous life threatening situations brings them closer together very quickly and strong true feeling develop between them. The world building was awesome and the characters chemistry is off the charts hot! You will love and cheer for both Sadie and Anubis. This series is a definite keeper and I highly recommend that you give it a read you will love it!! I can't wait for the third one I just know it's going to be great. Love it loved it loved it🔥🔥💖💖💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖

This superb all-consuming, captivating sci-fi alien romance is definitely worth reading as it had me frantically turning pages trying to find out what would happen next. The plot has excellent world building, outstanding scene descriptions & is full of suspense. The characters each have their own personal issues & baggage to deal with and they should not be attracted to each other but they have no choice in spending time together and the attractions begin to flare, naturally they are absolutely determined to succeed at any cost and react with devastating consequences to the enemies and/or the situation they currently find themselves in.
There is: a abducted human female (Sadie), a rather large genetically engineered slave (1213 aka Anubis), humans, strange creatures, various kinds of aliens, a conniving network, a deadly federation, friendship, a unexpected alliance, jaw-dropping action, adventure, suspense, intrigue, drama, twists & turns, deceit, betrayal, abduction, slavery, a deadly competition, challenges, devious plans, manipulation, life-threatening situations, conflict, violence, love, romance, steamy scenes & a hard-earned, satisfying conclusion for this couple with a very interesting ending.

Good

Genetically engineered “geneslave” 1213, and the human woman Sadie, are teamed up for the new intergalactic game show “Down to Two”.
Jahzara Zedd presides once more as the manipulative and evil game show host, while the contestants try to survive on a planet filled with danger, and hostile wildlife.

This is book two in the series, and though it can be read as a standalone, it’s going to make way more sense if you read them in order.
1213 is a tortured hero, some of his backstory is truly heartbreaking, while Sadie is truly naïve- her life on Earth before abduction was relatively good!
The book takes us through lots of rather gory action, a few sexy encounters, and of course the machinations of the evil minds behind it all.
We have, at the end of it, a happy ending and epilogue, so it’s perfect for the sci-fi romance fan who doesn’t mind the dark before the dawn!
An entertaining and enjoyable read.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Learning more Anubis and Sadie, after the final pairing was moving. What was once force is leading to great pleasure, asthey have to adjustments periods that was the route to freedom.
Fifty males and fifty female's entered as a form of entertainment,  being paired with the short unassuming female leaves 1213 at a disadvantage or was that an advantage?  Was aliens that judge mental? It's not like Sadie yelled *hey, take me*  the 'entertainment' was a mixed bag of earth form of live reality in the form of alien culture of vultures watching as private moments are made public for the right credits. Its hilarious after all 1213 is mystified by the god analogy of the name Sadie picks out for him,  the little earthling talks to her self.

Sadie was abducted and when they couldn't sell her she went to the games. Granted, she thinks it's a reality show. 1213 belongs to the federation, and does as he's told. Why he's been thrown into the games, he doesn't know. 50 males and 50 females are paired for the games and he thought he'd be one of the first to choose a female. He's the last and the game was rigged so he'd be with the weakest- the human. I wonder why. So now it's survival or death. Only one couple can win. Alana has an amazing imagination that draws her readers into the story. You feel the danger, fear, budding romance blossoming into steamy, whew- fan yourself, scenes. Reading how our couple is learning to work together and rely on each other's strengths is part of what makes this such a great read.

Two strangers, brought to a planet for one purpose.. survive the game. I didn't know how anything could top the action of Down to One, but Down to Two did it! Trying not to give any spoilers so here goes...Finding love while on the run from one flag to another and trying to keep each other alive? Not an easy task!! Our hero and heroine (they wouldnt want to be called this but hey! Lol) take on the challenges given to them and the others in the "game", an intergalactic reality show. And they show everything...nothing is personal. Sex and gore are ratings. From one challenge to another our team must survive and win. Bring on the "fun and games".

Being thrown into a live or die game with hostile aliens and being expected to bond with one that was pre-selected for you is challenge. This is another fabulous read by Alana Khan and I loved it! I do have to warn you that there are adult situations so it should be read by mature readers. If you have to be paired with an alien, being paired with one that looks like Anubis is not the worst thing that could happen. As always, there is a lot of insight to the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and how they deal with the challenges facing them. I would highly recommend this book. I loved it.

Fantastic! I loved this book! I loved the first book in this wonderful and exciting new series, but I loved this one even more. It was action-packed, fast-paced, exciting, dangerous, and suspenseful. Great world building with a plot that captures you from the beginning. I couldn't put it down. Wonderful characters. I was excited the hero 1213 looked like Anubis. He's very smart and strong. He ended up paired with Sadie, a human and the smallest of the females brought the The Games. Together they'll have to work as a team to survive- or die trying. Excellent book! I can't wait until the next in this series. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

This book revived my love for this author

These two characters, especially 1213 aka Anubis is one of my favorites!!! The connection between him and our female heroine Sadie is next level. The book really develops their relationship well and makes all there moments more heartwarming. Which is needed bc the story is intense. It is not a battle royal where the couples attack each other it is more the game-makers/game fauna that are after our couple. So rest easy this is not a murder your teammate book. Which made the story better as there is a clear villain. I’ll be reading more of Alana’s books. Really well done. Nice epilogue too.

This series continues to entertain! With the galaxy games in place again, I was sucked in by the unique characters and the complex game situation they faced. I am always amazed at the creativity used to bring to life alien beings with special abilities and partner them with humans with equally diverse backgrounds and abilities. Sadie and Anubis although so different seemed to complement each other beautifully. I really enjoyed watching their story evolve as they faced challenges in the games. I’m already looking forward to the next novel in the series!

I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.

I loved "Down to two"! Genslaves are now a favorit of mine and I can't wait to read "Down to tree". Sadie and Anúbis go thru such a harsh enviroment... I must say I loved the detail of the dinossaurs. It was such a good book, the plot was very compeling and the chatecters were amazing. Anúbis has to learn as he goes and it is marvelous. I really want to know were we are going with the revolution too. Dress in read!

1213, a genetically engineered slave, and Sadie, captured from Earth, are placed as a team in The Game. No rules save to reach the end and touch a flagpole together, harsh landscapes and hugh predators abound. Forced to rely on each other to survive, Sadie and 1213 begin to fall in love. Does freedom, land and credits await the winners? Fast paced with plenty of twists and turns. I couldn't put the book down.

Great new series by Alana Kahn! This was an interesting take on a do or die sci-fi situation and I really loved how the plot moved forward and came together, it was suspenseful and as always felt real to the situation. The characters were unique, complex and had their own issues to work through. I loved how Anubis and Sadie came together and you could see and feel their growth together throughout the story. Highly recommend this book and I’m looking forward to the next one!

The story keeps getting better and better. I was held in suspense, wondering how our MCs will make it out alive, my imagination running wild.

Our MMC might not look lovable or adorable but the more you read about him and get to know him, the more you will love him much like our FMC. Ah, let's not forget our FMC Sadie, she might have been labeled as the weakest of the bunch but she just proved that "small is terrible."

You'll surely enjoy this adrenaline pumping read.

Wow!

It terrifies me that a game like the one in this book can so totally corrupt it’s sponsors. And I find myself wondering if such cruel individuals are actually walking around in reality, plotting the downfall of people just for the money that can be made. This book was intense and frightening, funny and sensual. It had me in my feelings as you can tell. I’m glad the two main characters got their HEA but I’ll be even happier when Jahara Zelda gets her comeuppance!

The second book in the Galaxy Games Hostile Planet Alien Romance Series. Human Sadie and genetically engineered 1213 who she names Anubis' story. These two are paired in the games when no one chooses them. Their story has suspense, drama, danger, villains and romance. I was happy to see this pair get their HEA. I want to read the next book. I would recommend. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Down to Two was fantastic!

What a wild ride for Sadie and 1213! Each day was a test of their strength. They had to find a way to support each other through dangerous trials and manipulations set to bring about their deaths. Emotions can not be ignored if they are to have a chance at surviving the treacherous Galaxy Games. Book 2 of the Galaxy Games Hostile Planet Alien Romance Series is a must read!

Thought it was going to be grumpy/sunshine based on the preview from the end of the first book, but MMC turned out to be a cinnamon roll. Instalust/instalove. MMC was spliced with different animal parts but the only animal-like thing about his dong was a knot. Seems like a missed opportunity.

First book was darker, had more political intrigue, and generally felt more intense and high stakes. This book felt fluffy in comparison.

Another enthralling book in the Galaxy Games series. Initially 1213 is not impressed by his partner , Sadie, due to her small stature. However, she has some hidden talents plus an indomitable nature which soon make him change his mind; and they need every advantage they can get in this exciting story of their struggle to survive against the odds and win their freedom. A great book. Recommended.

Love this series. It just keeps getting better and better. Down to Two is like Amazing Race (LOL) with death on the line… Naive and optimistic human FMC meets battle hardened genetically modified humanoid MMC. a new idea

Loved both characters. Enough action to not need unnecessary angst. So no dumb moments just for angst. A bit of insta live or in the moment love but it was a good book w good characters. I loved how they all banded together. The ending wrapped up quick and too easy sort of. But enjoyed it. Med steam.
