Series
Miley Stewart looks like a regular girl-next-door, but she’s got a big secret. When the lights go down, Miley is the famous teen pop sensation Hannah Montana! Miley may be a celebrity when she’s on stage, but she wants the rest of her life to be as normal as possible. The only people who know the truth about Miley’s dual identity are her father, brother, and best friends Lilly and Oliver. But keeping that secret―and balancing school and homework with her newfound fame and fortune―is harder than Miley ever thought it would be.

Title
Hannah Montana #5: Hold on Tight
When Miley gets paired with Oliver to do a scene from Romeo and Juliet in drama class, she’s afraid that they’ll both get a big fat F! After all, Oliver’s not exactly a “natural” when it comes to Shakespeare. But soon, Miley has a lot more to worry about than Oliver. Hannah Montana is asked to sing the national anthem at an L.A. Lakers game, and as she steps into the spotlight, she suddenly forgets the words! Plus, after Miley convinces her dad to do a concert of his own, will she end up regretting it?

I would recommend this book to girls that are in Elementary school that want a quick, easy read. This book was really easy for me to read compared to some of the books I have read. I didn't like it very much because it was so easy.

In this book Miley and her two best friends, Oliver and Lilly, take an acting class. They have to act out a Shakespeare play with another student. Lilly and Miley have to be with a boy, and they do not want to be with Oliver. They don't want to be with Oliver because he doesn't take anything seriously and just fools around. Miley gets stuck with him. One day they were practicing and Miley finds out he gets very bad stage fright. Then Miley tries to help him but he is still scared. A few days later Miley was telling her dad how Oliver is not a good partner and Oliver heard her talking about him. Oliver then gets mad at Miley and she tries to make it up to him but he won't forgive her. Then Miley, who is also Hannah Montana, gets to sing the National Anthem at a basketball game. All of a sudden while she was singing she forgot all the words to the song, and gets super bad stage fright. She finally realizes what Oliver feels in front of a crowd. Oliver and her then make up and do a great job on the acting project!

Cheesy cornball and complete nonsense but all done in a way that is somewhat entertaining, even if the obvious is really obvious and the over the top is over the top. This is novelisations of another two episodes, and once again there are ideas which could have been pursued in uninteresting way, =(the whole sugar addiction thing for one) but typical Disney they take the cheap, safe route and never challenge themselves or there audience. One interesting note is the inside cover says it is written by Alice Alfonsi, who has been usurped here by Laurie McElroy, but then again perhaps it is the same person!

I loved it. One by one I'm going to finished this series. Hannah Montana is still my favorite Disney series ever. I loved it. Even though I enjoyed the book, I still prefer the TV series.

But overall, good book. :)

Part one is the episode from season one where Miley gets partnered up with Oliver in drama class for ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ Subsequently, she finds out Oliver has stage fright. Later, she gets it herself.

Well. I’m kinda curious why they’re still announcing Miley Stewart’s big secret as if it’s never been written in ink before. This is the fifth in the series and I’ve read five times that she’s secretly Hannah Montana....

Okay. This book gets an extra star for the simple fact that the author didn’t commit the cardinal sin of mentioning that a song is being sung while neglecting to add the lyrics. They’re actually included for once. Nice.

...Spoke too soon. On pgs 58 & 59, there’s a song she’s singing, but no lyrics. Odd since Disney owns the songs. Star lost.

Oooh. Um. Pg 61 has a toddler book-like end to a crisis. “Suddenly relief flew through her. She was herself again.....” Hm. This scene in the episode wasn’t like this; it was more believable. Down another star.

Part two is all about Robby Ray Stewart (Billy Ray Cyrus). Not sure if that was season one or two... Miley and Jackson end up going through some of their father’s boxes of memorabilia, and eventually hatch a plan that will help their dad go on tour. Unfortunately, they start to miss him after having to deal with Roxy, the bodyguard she usually only sees when she’s Hannah Montana.

I didn’t really see anything wrong with this particular written episode aside from another mention that Miley Stewart is Hannah Montana, but since I grade a book as a whole... hmm..... let’s go with 2 stars.

Was this a childish read, sure. But it was fun to look back on and the nostalgia that came with it. I still remember the two episodes mentioned in this book and it was so nice to revisit them.

Not as engaging and captivating as the other Hannah Montana books I’ve read so far, but still an easy, feel-good and simple read that is genuinely entertaining.

Repeated review.

I read this for nostalgia reasons. Basically, this is a very short written version of a few episodes; not one episode but multiple, so it’s a tad rushed since you just zoom through it. You’d probably have more fun rewatching the actual show, and cringing at it because it was kind of bad.
