A considerar:

*Nisekoi* is an amazing series. I only wish the US version of the series were further along, since I have seen that the scanslations of this series are basically 10 volumes ahead of the US printed copies.
-------------------
This is the *holidays* volume of sorts, as it deals with both New Year's Day and Valentine's Day. And, with women getting drunk on Whiskey BonBons for New Year's and one giving a chocolate statue to Raku for V-Day, you know that this story is a blast. Throw in half-a-dozen seat changes in class and a diner filled with gang members and Yakuza and SWAT, and you know that things will never be boring!

I want to thank VIZ Media for giving me the chance to read and review this in advance. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I like Raku’s hair- especially when he’s got it tidied 😁

The mangaka seems to rely increasingly on gags for the story. Thankfully, in the midst of this, there was some plot movement in the relationships via the friendships of the girls with each other.

It was a fun volume over all. I just wish some elements would be resolved. The author doesn't have to end the story, just settle some plots and introduce new ones. Still, I did like it a lot.

A bunch of my library holds finally came in, so I finally got to read this! It was cute. There was some chocolate making (Valentine's Day), a bit of hints about the promise girl thing, and overall funny and cute stuff going on. I enjoyed it! 4 stars. Oh, and that scene with Marika and the diner at the end was hilarious!

Not as fun as previous volumes but I am glad it still isn’t trying to put women against one another

The shrine priestess talking about Raku's girl troubles and the Valentine's Day chocolate episodes were classic!

I love how goofy this series is. Poor Raku is a typical boy and Chitoge is just a typical girl save for the fact their father's control dangerous criminal elements that would not only murder each other but cause severe damage to the area. What are two fathers to do but ask their children to date and bring the families together. In the mean time Raku is in love with childhood sweetheart Onodera making for a rather strange love triangle (changinging shape as the series goes on) created from false love which changes with time.

With events of the last volume over a common belief of the class is that Raku and Chitoge stayed in a hotel room by themselves for Christmas and and want details after they show up for a new christmas party for fellow classmates. The look of despair on the faces of the girls that think they lost Raku to Chitoge range but each is amusing in their own way. We also get some New Years hijinxs, the night of unending classroom seat rearrangements, Valentines miracles, dangerous handcuffs, and the potential for a 3 way conflict between both criminal groups and Swat Team #1. :)

Speaking of the last item above one of my favourite parts of the book would have to be when the normally very sweet Marika gets mad because she might lose her job if her employer is ruined due to the upcoming rumble and takes action against all three groups casting them outside (there was even a "Have a nice day message" from the now closing door. :)

It took my months to actually finish this book, like literally I started in May and didn't finish until September. I actually couldn't remember where I left off and had to start from the beginning again. I think I had a chapter and a half left to go, everything up to that point was familiar. It's a cute story and the art is nice as always, but I'm not really driven to find out what happens because it's become clear they are just drawing out the story until they get cancelled and then they'll finally end the love triangles. There were some funny parts and the introduction of the police characters was new I think so that's something. I have the next volume so I'll read it but the series is not really keeping my interest as evidence by a summer long reading hiatus.

I think this would have to be my least favorite so far in terms of story. We do get some funny moments and development in terms of relationships, but sometimes it just seemed like the mangaka wanted to put in all these funny chapters to lighten to mood, but only about 2 or 3 chapters mattered in this volume, so I wasn't as impressed as I was other volumes.

I think I’m going to stop here with the series. It’s cute, but it’s getting pretty one-note.

This was good but honestly the stories are kind of getting too ridiculous. Also the characters are always screaming or shouting or something and it's starting to annoy me. Maybe it's just me

Is this a case of writer's block? I picture the creative staff of this manga in a brainstorming session and using all the worst ideas for this volume. Only the art gets it a second star!

I don't remember the first chapter in this volume making it to the anime, which is weird because it brings in the picture book that ACTUALLY HAS SOME RELEVANCE TO THE PENDANT AND THE KEYS AND THE PROMISE.

A lot of the OVAs are coming up in this volume and the previous. First it's the shrine one. It's boring and tedious.

The second OVA is some softcore porn (these characters are 15-16, may I remind you), where all the girls get drunk off of one whisky chocolate each and sexually harass Raku. There are some weird implications at the end of the chapter that they gangraped him. Need I say this is not okay at all?

The changing seats chapter is rather boring, but at least Kosaki ends up next to Raku.

The valentine's day chapter is fun. I love that the author was finally kind enough to make Kosaki good at cooking. Being a dangerously terrible cook is the stupidest trait that girl could have. Shuu pranking Tsugumi is funny, I love that some girls have crushes on Tsugumi, and Chitoge and Koskai's friendship is great.

The handcuffs chapter was unique and a typical trope, but Tsugumi gets way more forgiveness for her behaviour with Raku than she deserves, so I just don't like her chapters anymore. Raku doesn't even like her as a friend.

I always loved the OVA about Marika getting a job and saving every cheque for her life with Raku. The scene where she serves Chitoge a single fry and then bare handedly, single handedly throws dozens of gangsters out of the restaurant is so iconic.

Once again, it's almost all filler, but at least some of it is enjoyable.
