Drakkus, Lord of Chaos, has failed. His minions have fled the Ring Wood with their tails between their legs. Those that still have tails or legs to carry them, anyway.
And it's all thanks to me, Logan Greenwood.
Oh, pardon me. In this world, they call me 'Loghann Grenwyld' and apparently I'm the only living heir to the Emperor of the Five Realms.
I've come a long way from that unhappy, directionless guy I was back at Pine Ridge Trailer Park, and I can't say it isn't all a bit surreal. But you can bet I'm going to take full advantage of this strange, magical world I've found myself in.
In fact, I'd like nothing more than to relax and enjoy my victory. With a forest full of beautiful elves, nymphs, and dryads and the extremely grateful Priestess Kalia to keep me company, I can think of a few things I'd rather be doing than chasing down minions of chaos.
But while Drakkus plots to spread corruption through the realms and to rob me of my rightful place as the next Emperor, I have no choice but to keep fighting.
I'm off to the Azurian Seas, where I must convince another priestess to join my side. Trouble is, I'm magically bound to keep my true identity a secret and Priestess Cordelia's handmaidens won't let me get close enough to speak with her.
Oh, and there's a massive, tentacled sea-monster on the loose.
Peter North has been writing "serious" SF&F adventures for many years, under another name. But there's only so long a guy can be serious before he starts to go a bit mad.
This is where Peter comes to play.
Inspired by Sword & Sorcery of old and HaremLit of new, Peter North's books are a place where men (and open-minded women) can come to experience the intersection of Fantasy and fantasies.
I wanted to like this series, but I had to start just skimming the remainder of the book by the 20% mark. It had a good premise and the story does evoke interest from a reader, but I just cannot get past how much I dislike and am often confused by the MC, who’s personality is too stupid/clueless for my taste and seems to be unrealistically inconsistent in order to fit the needs of the author at any given point. Not to mention he acts like a jerk to his friends and companions. The story has promise, but I just can’t get past the unrealistic/unlikeable MC to give it more than two stars.
Major downturn in this story for me. I mean, the plot was alright, i quite liked it for the most part with the Naga and the leviathan and all that, and the Siren girl is probably the best part of the story. But unfortunately Peter North has written a very unlikable MC. It's not his fault, i find in harem fantasy stories it's pretty even money whether i'll like the MC or not, given their personality traits. And this guy, Jesus, ok first off, it's totally his fault the elf is washed off the bridge, cause he was fucking dawdling, trying to save a siren who, by the way, if she can't breathe under water, she can certainly hold her breath a fuck of a long time. And the monsoon-like storm that was causing the river to rage, only lasted a short time anyway. He could have left her.
And then MC decides he needs to go find the elf, who unbeknownst to him has a broken, festering leg and is unconscious down the river somewhere. Kudos to him for caring enough about the elf and her wellbeing after being washed off a fucking bridge, OH, except for the part where he stops in his quest to get his fuck on with a snake woman. Ah, fuck the elf with the unknown fate, i want to tap me some snake ass for a night. Seriously the guy only thinks with one of his heads and it's not the one on his shoulders.
Oh and later the MC feels all mad and betrayed cause the snake woman shagged him with the intention of getting knocked up. He didn't want to sire children he was just looking for some fun. HEY HERE'S AN IDEA LOGAN, HOW ABOUT NOT BLOWING YOUR LOAD INSIDE OF HER IF YOU DON'T WANT CHILDREN SO MUCH. Fuck, take some responsibility and maybe pull out.
The first book was pretty good but i'm not sure i'm going to continue the series now. This MC is the worst.
Drags out a clueless MC with nothing original in the story.
Book two of this series disappointed on a lot of levels. The book takes 80 pages to get moving into the plotline and then repeatedly over explains itself. The worst is the absolute clueless main character who forgets he has abilities magic, just cluelessly goes from one moment to the next without any introspect until after the fact. The book clearly defines who the bad guys are and what the plot is but the main character is clueless until an aha moment which you can only feel, how stupid can a person be? The stupidity of not being able to figure out what the reader knows almost right away makes you hate the character because how can you root for a character that is clueless!!! There were no surprises in this book, it dragged with the over explaining about relationships and feelings were pointless and boring. Trying to explain the main characters and his companions kinks did not add anything to the story. If anything the introductory to the new character quote unquote his second princess is someone likeable... It's just bad, boring, stupid... with a clueless main character!
“Elemental Empire 2” is a worthy sequel, following our hero Logan as he moves from the forest realm into the aquatic world of the Azurian Sea. Along the way, he and his two lady companions from book one get tangled up with a whole new cast of friends and foes.
When the party gets split up, Logan ends up among the Naga, a race of snake people who live on the beaches alongside the sea. For generations, there has been a rift between their society and the Priestess Cordelia, who rules this realm. In a genre rife with “epic battles of good vs. evil,” it was refreshing to see a conflict that wasn’t painted in stark black-and-white. Neither side was blameless or innocent, which made resolving the problem more complex than just killing the bad guy.
That said, don’t worry, you also get plenty of exciting killing-the-bad-guy action.
I really enjoyed many of the new characters, most especially the siren Seeva, who is basically a hot blue lady version of Gollum from “Lord of the Rings.” I was into it. Don’t judge me.
Lohmann left Ring Wood to travel to the next relm on a mission to save it .
Logan Greenwood earth human is transported to a distance world that he was originally born at . Now much older has returned as Loghann Grenwlyd long lost prince an to save his empire from destruction by Load of Chaos . He must grow stronger make allies an make his way to the Emperor before Midsummer Eve . recommend reading excellent series .
Really great book with a nice twist on a usual trope. MC get sucked into new world gets power and gets the girls. And while that is still true the MC isn’t overpowered and still makes mistakes that let people killed. The adult content isn’t overdone (even if I would like more) and fits into the overall story rather well. Seems to be a few more books in the series and honestly hope that after the completion that we can get a couple of more with the MC at full power. Already looking forward to reading the next one in December.
I'm enjoying this series, challenges that Logan faces, both in battle and the women who are close to him. The kink he's working the Dryad towards, the sexy and treacherous Nyad. A fight with a leviathan, and bringing kingdoms together. Now the new reveal with the princess well I immediately bought the next book to find out.!
Nicely. This volume is both extremely exciting and romantic in an unlikely way. The MC picks himself up not only another bride but a couple or three concubines, his first baby bump as well. Well worth reading if you are interested in harem stories, Indiana Jones type action, and maybe a tiny bit perverted in a "good" way.
The characters and relationships continue to be compelling. The plot also continues to be engaging. Additionally, the magic and lore continue to entertain.
I liked the first book but Logan has become a raging douch-bag he is truly cringe worthy nothing worse than and unlikeable mc and I didn't like the dryad either but I could have stuck with it but the author kind of laid out the whole book in chapter 5 so no surprises boo this makes it worse I know how it goes and Logan is an ass*ole Dnf very disappointed
