Publishers Weekly, Meesha Mink is back with another thrilling tale following Naeema on the hunt for a killer, because she'll die before she lets anyone take away her king.

Twice she has won RT Magazine's Best African-American/Multicultural Romance Award, "Kiss the Ring"--written as Meesha Mink--was listed as one of the Library Journal's Best Books, and her books have appeared in Ebony, Essence, The New York Post, The Star Ledger, The Dallas Morning News and many other national publications. One of her bestselling book has been adapted to film and broadcast on Centric/BETHer.
I’m undecided between a 3.5 and 4 rating. It was a pretty solid action packed read. I liked seeing more of Sarge, Daeema showing her sensitive side with Tank and her mentoring and defending Mya. I had issues with some of the subplots. Murk and the rapper girl really didn’t go any where and were distracting to the storyline. I understand why they were put in the story, but they needed to be fleshed out or left out.
Meesha Mink has once again graced the writing stage with another fashionable urban glance into the present day models of today's society. “All Hail the Queen” unveils the multiple hats worn by today's woman while cat-walking the stage with the modern day designs of life. In this sequel Naeema must once again allow Queen to emerge and help filter things as she dons the hats of real life urbanization.
Naeema first puts on her hat as a woman just shy of vulnerability exposing raw feelings of violation after someone breaks into her home. She now sports her fitted cap as she ventures out to find the offender. In the process, Naeema befriends Mya, a young girl heading down the same road as Naeema strolled as a promiscuous teen. Naeema nurtures, molds, and schools Mya on the do's and don'ts she wished she had listened to all while still working at the barbershop, reprimanding her old soldier roommate Sarge, sidelining her dealer, and love/hating her husband until the unthinkable happens. Naeema unleashes Queen, who straps on her hard hat and stands ready to take on or out anyone. Naeema Queen Cole won’t stop until she has her form of justice. I give this book 5 stars. It was action packed and a great sequel.
Didn't even know this book was the book after Kiss the Ring! It was a good read also. Naeema aka Queen strikes again! This time to kill who tried to kill her husband Tank. Didn't see it coming on who did it but Queen figured it out. The way the book ends, it could be another one. Really enjoyed the story and the main characters.
This is the first book I've read by this author and it was good, however Naeema's character was written as being too independent and not willing to ask for help. For her to go out on her own to find out who murdered her son was a risk that she too, but her relationship with Tank I felt was like she didn't need him for anything other than sex. It was okay to be the heroine in this story, but who doesn't need help with finding things out besides needing a copy of a police report. I'm looking forward to reading the next book to see what changes Naeema have made and if her and Tank's relationship still remains the same.
