"You didn't really think you'd get a happily-ever-after, did you?"
Cian is terrifying me. The Irish killer stole me on my wedding day. And now, he's revealing secrets that threaten to burn everything—and everyone—I love to ashes.
I need to get back to Dmitri. He's the only one who can keep our unborn child safe.
Escaping Cian is just the beginning because Dmitri has secrets of his own. Starting with the unseen houseguest upstairs... And ending with the hideous truth about what really happened to my sister.
Tangled Decadence is book two of the Egorov Bratva duet. Dmitri and Wren's story begins in book one, Tangled Innocence.
Nicole Fox writes smart, sexy mafia romance novels. She is a crazy cat lady in her late 30s with a coffee addiction, an overactive imagination, and a husband who somehow puts up with her impulsive need to keep buying new plants for their house.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️.5 Wren is kidnapped from the wedding of her baby father; she sees her best friend Bee the women he is marrying murdered realizing she was kidnapped by someone she knew through her sister Cian tells her he didn’t want to take her, but string is being pulled by higher up’s and he informs her that Bee is dead. Vittorio is Bee’s father the head of the Italian mafia and the Irish are working together against Dmitri to take him down they learned the way to do it is through Bee and Wren.
Dimitri was so sweet and turned into a total heartthrob. Sure he did some stupid things but his heart was in the right place. He grew so much from the first book and I really loved him in this one.
This story was so exciting and entertaining. I loved all the characters from the main two characters to all the secondary characters. There was enough humor mixed in that had me laughing quite a few times. It was a dark story but there were enough light parts that kept it from getting to oppressive. It was an incredible ride from start to finish and I would highly recommend it!!!
Wren was kidnapped from the wedding of Dmitri and Bee, Dmitri is her baby daddy and Bee is her best friend. When the Irish mafia invaded the wedding Bee was shot and Wren was kidnapped. Cian the man who kidnapped Wren is the leader of the Irish mafia and she already knew him from his involvement with her sister Rose and brother-in-law Jared. Cian tells Wren that he didn’t want to kidnap her and that someone else is pulling the strings. Wren found out after she had been impregnated that she was not carrying Rose and Jared’s baby she was carrying Dmitri’s heir. Dmitri moved Wren into his penthouse after Wren was attacked. The chemistry between Dmitri and Wren is explosive. Wren was let in on the secret that Dmitri and Bee were only marrying to get Bee away from her abusive father Vittorio who is the Don of the Italian mafia. When Dmitri gets Wren back they move into the penthouse below his penthouse. Cian had told Wren that Bee had died from the gunshot. Dmitri and Wren start nesting while Dmitri is fighting with the Irish and the Italian mafias. Dmitri realizes that he wants to marry Wren and they get married in a private ceremony. Dmitri promises to never lie to Wren again. Dmitri goes to meet Vittorio even though he knows that it’s a trap, he plans on killing Vittorio. The problem is that Dmitri is locked in and the building gets blown up. At about the same time Wren goes into labor and doesn’t have the code to the elevator and she can’t get a hold of anyone but Rogan, an associate of Dmitri. Wren is laying by the elevator in labor hurting so bad and she hears the elevator go up and then come back down to stop on her floor. When the elevator opens Wren believes she has died and gone to heaven because Bee is there to take her to the hospital. Bee stays with Wren while she is in labor even though Wren is pissed at Dmitri and Bee. Wren wonders where Dmitri is, he isn’t there to see his son born. Dmitri shows up after Aleksander and his men dug Dmitri out of the rubble of the building. Wren is so mad that Dmitri lied to her again that she won’t talk to him or see him, she does let him care for their son. Wren take her son Mischa out with Bee to a Mommy and me class. When Wren and Mischa come out to wait for Bee Wren is confronted by Vittorio who kidnaps them. Will Dmitri be able to rescue Wren and Mischa? Will Bee get revenge on Vittorio for his abuse and for trying to kill her? Will Dmitri and Wren go on to have more children? Will Dmitri and Wren find love and happiness?
Awesome Conclusion of Egorov Bratva Duet!

of all the nicole fox books i've read (nine read so far) dmitri egorov was probably the least chauvinistic and tolerable (so far) - so 3 stars for that ig 🌝
This was book 2 in the "Egorov Bratva"duet. This book picked up where book 1 left off. This book had a lot of secrets in it which led to a lot of twist and turns the most shocking on to me was her sister. This book also had a lot of action in it. I love reading a good mafia story. This book was well written with no errors in the grammar or spelling.
Fucking cliffhangers, ayyy let’s get this going. I need answers.
1- so I am pretty sure that I know who is behind pretty much everything, but I am not quite ready to report it yet 2- blah blah blah, just conversation 3- that’s right sister, do what you gotta do 4- dammit, are you trying to kill everyone in this damn story 5- thank goodness, I hate when you have to wait through almost the entire book before the fmc gets rescued 6- wren is okay and baby is okay, also so happy she is back safe with Dmitri. now if only they can mend their relationship that would be fantastic 7- slowly I believe things will start to make way of coming out about who has been behind all things… I’m still standing on my original guess 8- great now back to more sexual tension 9- nothing really to report here
10- stubborn as a damn mule 11- ughhhh men can be so naive sometimes 12- awww I’m so happy she got finally really talk to Syrah again, she definitely needed that 13- I really wish these two would get the fuck off their high horses and just admit that love each otter already, seriously this is getting frustrating 14- ohh wow I still have have feelings for you guess I won’t lie to myself about it anymore, blahhh so debilitating 15- no new developments to add (welcome to your new life of sexual tension, gross) 16- well then how about that meeting 17- first off, what the fuck is Dmitri trying to not tell anyone. second, I’m pretty sure that Bee is actually alive 18- an abrupt landing has occurred, thoughts of tension goingggg out the… well fuck there’s that damn wall again 19- geeze these two are ridiculous when it comes to their feelings for each other
20- tension, and not just the sexual kind. damn I really hope they are about to just get everything out in the open already 21- well I’m glad that convo is finally done, hopefully Wren has found some closure and can start moving forward now 22- woohoo back to sexual tension, this is honestly becoming to much at this point 23- okay who the fuck is in the original penthouse!?! 24- such sweet and sad memories, also who the fuck is in the original penthouse!?!
I am genuinely running out of patience, this story is starting to draggg out wayyy too much!
25- cool more drawn out mob bullshit 26- fucking finally 27- oh fucking kay then, that went from 0-100 real fucking quick 28- 0 to 100 is still currently on the map, at this point the other show is bound to drop any time now 29- definitely got some good haha’s
30- well shit I got distracted, nothing to report here 31- I need to know this secret he’s been keeping from Wren, pretty sure it has to do with the noises coming from the original penthouse 32- okkayyyy then guess we we are gonna just glide over what seems like a massive secret that’s still untold and just ask her to marry you 33- just a little mouth action 34- still waiting on this so called secret, also there was a landing that occurred but nothing to get you hot over 35- what was the point of a secret wedding to then go around in public telling people? and great this is about to get interesting 36- look here you stubborn arse, get the fuck off your high horse and hear them both out 37- how about you just don’t die, that would be great thanks 38- I said don’t die, not do die. what the fuck is wrong with you 39- I fucking knewwww it’s Bee that was in the original penthouse!

Well as per my first review of this book yep I am still obsessed.
This is part two of Wren and Dmitris duet, and it picks up right where book 1 has finished.
Dmitri is eager to get Wren back after she’s been taken by the rival Irish Mafia. But all is not what it seems and with that comes many twists and turns. Definitely had to pick my jaw up from the floor several times.
I enjoyed this book just as much as the first book, I literally devoured it in a day🫶🏼
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Mehh…. I read 37 chapters then moved to epilogues 🤷🏼♀️ Honestly, one book would be enough. While book 1 was ok, this one was kinda boring and always about the same thing - repeat and repeat. The only thing I missed was how Bee is still alive but not planning to read what I haven’t to find out.
Tangled Decadence by Nicole Fox is Book 2 of Egorov Bratva Duet. This continues the story of Dmitri and Wren. Their story started in the previous book 'TANGLED INNOCENCE'. So you will need to read that book before starting this one. Dmitri is working to get Wren back after she was taken.
This should’ve just been one book 😩. Stretching the story into two didn’t add much—if anything, it made things feel repetitive. And naming their daughter after his ex-wife?? That was wild 💀. I kept reading just to finish the series, but honestly, it didn’t hit.
Quickie Duet Review: I have always enjoyed diving into one of Fox’s duets when in between reads. And this one was truly fantastic. My only hang up was a grammar error at a pivotal moment that happens at a pivotal time. It ruined the scene for me. But all in all, the rest of story was still wonderful and it ended up redeeming itself. I loved the relationship between both Dmitri and Wren. Especially with how they came together in the first place. A unique situation. The duet kept my attention from start to finish and I look forward to more from this amazing author. 5 Stars.
This one is nowhere near as good as the first, hence the four stars, but it was still good. It was worth the read, and I'm glad I took the time to finish it.
Meh 2.5. Really didn’t need a second book. Couldn’t have slightly extended the first book and got rid of a huge chunk of this one. I was engaged with it, but the story line was a bit ridiculous. Managed to finish it just in time for my kindle unlimited subscription expiring tomorrow. 🎉
I found this so long and boring - they spent an hr talking about setting up a bassinet. She talked about her pregnancy/ how big she was for every other chapter.

I received an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a pile of hot road kill. I read the first book and I couldn't decide where it was going. There were some good elements but the characters and topics seemed a little mismatched. I gave the second part a chance hoping to see some type of development in the plot and the characters themselves and was severely disappointed. There are so many loose ends and I think that's something that tends to happen when authors, particularly in the dark romance genre, try to weave Webb's without any forethought. This ended up a tangled mess of tropes, character archetypes and horrible dialogue. The story's supposed to be about the brava and it was almost surreal. How a subject you think should be so ingrained into this book, almost felt like it was a spectator in it. Other than Dimitri his brother Alex and the two main players of the Italian and Irish adversaries, we aren't immersed into Dimitri's world. In fact, we end up spending most of the novel inside his penthouse locked away from everything. There were a few action scenes where we get the standard typical gun violin. Send some of the trashy dialogue back and forth but it doesn't feel real. He doesn't feel like a pekkan. It feels almost as if his position was used as the sole driving force behind him and rin's relationship and the underlying tension but it had no real place there. Speaking of relationships, that was a whole load of bullshit. Demet develop a connection beyond some Stockholm syndrome. /Sexual tension. His past wife, Elena, continues to be a source of his anger and aggression and even though he claims he's moved on from her, there isn't an actual move on because she's behind all his thoughts and his actions. And it just was so unsatisfying because they were at odds the whole of the first book, almost 50% of the second. And then in this last bit all of a sudden Dimitri flips the switch and now he's suddenly in love with her and wants to marry her right away and she use" Queen" of a crime organization She has no involvement in. Wren has no character growth whatsoever. She's so f****** dumb. It hurts to read. It's like reading through the undeveloped emotions of a 12-year-old on the cusp of being a teenager, but it's worse cuz she's a grown woman. She has no business being in any sort of relationship and she certainly has no business being a mother. She is irrational, careless, emotionally, immature and in no way parallel to the smart, strong woman that the author keeps pushing readers to believe that she is. I'm sorry it doesn't matter how many times you have Dimitri call her a strong woman. Her character displays the opposite. And Dimitri just doesn't f****** grow up. He has the same Hang-Ups as he's had since the beginning of the book. The only difference at the end is that now he's a father and somehow believes that everything he does is all for Rin and his son when his thoughts and actions dictate otherwise. Honestly, this was one of the worst Mafia books that I have wasted my time reading. It was almost funny how bad this was. This book could single-handedly turn readers off from the sub genre. So if you're looking for a true dark romance of substance, I beg you not to start here.
A captivating read that will move you and hold you in suspense as you discover the outcome Wren has been kidnapped and also saw her best friend and daughter of Vittorio murdered even though she was supposed to be pregnant, all this on her wedding day to the Bratva Pakhaan Dimitri Egorov. Whilst she is locked away and held captive by her sister and brother-in-law’s friend Cian the now head of the Irish Mafia, she has watched as his health both physical and mental has waned dramatically and she is convinced that someone is using him to attack Dimitri. As her pregnancy progresses, she knows that she has to escape and is willing to do whatever it takes to have her baby boy born free and not in a cell like room with strangers. As Wren and Dimitri spend more time together, she is unable to believe that the man painting and decorating and building furniture in the nursery for their som is the same man she worked for. The wat that he cares for her and anticipates her needs is something she has never experienced before. The baby continues to grow and they are closer than ever and Dimitri knows that he cannot let Wren go and when he asks her to marry him, she agrees, from that time on they are humping like rabbits and spending as much time together as they can. Vittorio is still continuing to make his presence felt and when he continues to ask for a meet with Dimitri so that they can reconciliate it seems that this is another cleaver ruse, it was a moment of good fortune that in fact may be what stops his plan succeeding. This is an intense second book in the series where all of the skeletons are released from the closet and Wren discovers exactly what her sister and brother-in-law had done to Dimitri and Elena his first wife, this also explains his subsequent actions and why which makes this a wonderfully captivating read and I guarantee that you will be unable to put this down till you reach the end.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all their wonderful writing.

"You didn't really think you'd get a happily-ever-after, did you?"
Cian is terrifying me. The Irish killer stole me on my wedding day. And now, he's revealing secrets that threaten to burn everything—and everyone—I love to ashes.

But escaping Cian is just the beginning... Because Dmitri has secrets of his own. Starting with the unseen houseguest upstairs... And ending with the hideous truth about what really happened to my sister.
This is the second book in her new series “Egorov Bratva” and has been thoroughly enjoyable read. I love her books and this one is no exception! Dmitri and Wren’s story continues with more twists and turns, more lies unraveled and truth’s exposed! Wren’s strength, especially her maternal extinct, to keep her baby safe, is put to the test when she is kidnapped at Dmitri and Bee’s wedding.
So many questions ….. so little time! Will Dmitri find Wren? Will their baby survive and be healthy? What will happen when she finds out the truth about her sister and brother-in-law? Will she be able to forgive Dmitri with his involvement in their deaths? Will she be able to trust him? Most importantly, will Dmitri and Wren move on and live happily ever after?
Nicole is the Queen of “dark mafia romance” and once again she has excelled with this series. A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
At the end of book 1, Beatrice and Dmitri are getting married with Wren as the maid of honor, when all hell breaks loose. Beatrice is pretending pregnancy with an artificial baby bump under her gown. Wren is 7 months pregnant, and Dmitri is the father. The threesome have been living together under these false pretenses. Wren finally realizes why Bee and Dmitri are not intimate…for the same reason Bee has suffered floggings by her father, Vittorio. When shots are fired at the wedding, Bee and Dmitri pull out their guns and exchange fire; however, Wren is unprotected. At the last second, Bee jumps in front of Wren and is shot in the chest. She dies!
Book 2 starts after the funeral and an overwhelming sadness permeates the household. Before Bee died, she repeatedly told Dmitri that Wren is stronger than his dead wife Elena. Readers learned also from book 1, that Dmitri held Wren’s brother in law responsible along with the Irish mob for his wife’s death. In retaliation, Dmitri is responsible for Rose’s (Wren’s sister) death, and tells her so. So how will Wren ever be able to trust Dmitri? And when will Dmitri stop comparing her to Elena? Who was responsible for the attack at the wedding? Who is the IT genius, Locksmith, that’s been helping Dmitri? Is Cian, brother to Irish mob head, a friend or foe? Enjoy this thrilling conclusion as only Fox can deliver. Intricate characters, action packed, twists, and earth shattering surprises are the author’s forte. Oh yes, and the villain receives their comeuppance, tenfold! Another gajillion are in order 🌟. I have received an ARC from Booksprout and I am leaving an unbiased review voluntarily.
Tangled Decadence is book 2 in the Egorov Bratva Duet. The book opens as Wren finds herself kidnapped from Bee and Dimitri’s wedding. We find out whether Wren could find it in her heart to forgive Dimitri for killing her sister. I was hoping she wouldn’t, but we all know she does because Dimitri is the male romantic lead. We also get the details of the murder which I was surprised by, especially if we are forgiving Dimitri.
I was a little disappointed by Tangled Decadence after an amazing first book in the duet. This is a Nicole Fox book so everything is good and it’s, of course, a lot of fun. It’s just not what I have come to expect of Nicole Fox’s books. I think my main problem was the amount of downtime in which nothing that furthered the plot was happening. After some initial action, the book got a little slow. This sometimes happens when there is a period of time in which the couple is happy. This part of the book was, of course, important in continuing the development of the main character’s relationships but, nevertheless, got a little boring. There was a fun, unexpected twist that will have everyone surprised. When the action finally comes at the end, the culminating event is not as explosive as I would have hoped. The revenge is not as powerful as I feel it could have been. And a lot of time that could have been devoted to action and suspense was taken up by happy extended epilogues. Anyway, I think this book is worth the read but ultimately, one of my least favorite of Nicole Fox’s conclusion books.
OMG!!! I could not put this book down! Wren is kidnapped at Dmitri and Bee’s wedding by the Irish Mafia boss, Cian. Bee is killed at her own wedding and is disowned by her father, Vittorio (head of the Italian mafia) when he realizes that Bee was never pregnant. Dmitri is going crazy looking for Wren and his unborn son. Wren is able to outsmart Cian and is rescued by Dmitri and his men.
Wren learns about how her brother-in-law and sister dies, who Elena really is and why things played out the way they did. This is a lot of stress for a woman who is 8 months pregnant! Dmitri knows that he cannot live without Wren, but he keeps underestimating her and subconsciously keeps comparing her to Elena. Wren is stronger and while she might not be crazy about Dmitri’s world, she loves him. All she wants is honesty from Dmitri.
With the Italians and Irish coming after Dmitri and his family, will Wren be safe? And when a big secret comes out, will Wren be able to forgive Dmitri for lying to her yet again? When Wren and her son are kidnapped by Bee’s father, will Dmitri be able to save her with the help of an unknown ally?
Lots of secrets, deception, betrayal, truths, and forgiveness. Everyone got what they deserved and Dmitri and Wren grew closer once she finally understood everything that was going on – things are not always as they seem and her brother-in-law was not as innocent as she thought. Great series and I am looking forward to the next book from this author.

Tangled Decadence is book 2 in the Egorov Bravata duet and was just as good as book one. I really enjoyed the continued storyline and whoa so many good surprises I didn't see coming.
Why the three stars you ask if I enjoyed this book so much well let me tell you. While I love our FMC Wren, as a character she literally has no BACKBONE like most of Nicole's FMC's. Author PLEASE I'm begging you this could have been a five-star read for me if you would have written anything for our FMC to fight back against our MMC. She comes across as weak and pitiful and I just can't stand it. You are an amazing writer who seriously writes some of the best alpha a*holes and I have always been intrigued by your storylines, but you have to create stronger FMC's. There were so many times in this book (like book 1), where I wanted Wren to hit Dimitri where it really hurts. You build up these potential confrontations between the two, but they ALWAYS fall flat.
I can't decide whether or not to recommend this duet, because the storyline is great, the characters are awesome, but the FMC's ability to stand up against the alpha a*hole MMC is weak. If you can handle a weak FMC I highly recommend. Wren is a great lead female character and Dimitri is a well written MMC. I hope the author takes some of these reviews into consideration, because I truly feel like these duets could all be five stars for me, but the author MUST fix how the FMC stands up for herself against the MMC it's getting old.
