I read this because I liked the title and the cover art was cool, and because the premise ("Loki gets banished to Midgard and becomes a rock star") sounded humorous. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.

I can't recommend this to anyone! It's badly written, thinly-veiled Marvel fanfic, with somehow less understanding of the Norse Gods than "Son of the Mask" had! (Nor does the author understand any of the other gods and "gods" used/referenced throughout this story; seriously, for someone who decided they wanted to write a story about gods and their views on godhood, Esquivel sure didn't bother to educate himself about a single one of these deities before writing about them.)

The artwork, while not bad, just looks generic. The character designs are pretty mediocre (like yeah, I've seen worse but I've also seen better) and are pretty forgettable imo. Couldn't tell you any of the humans' names either, or anything about any of the characters' personalities.

Esquivel really tried to be thought-provoking, but really the only thought I had while reading this was "what a waste of my time." Luckily, it's a short read, because very little of the already sparse text is even necessary to read for you to understand what's happening.

Giving it one star for the spaghetti monster, who's only in three panels in the whole thing but at least got a laugh out of me.

Loki gets exiled to Earth because Thor is a real shitty brother and god in general.. There Loki becomes a rock star and the other gods come looking for him after feeling threatened even though they aren't supposed to interfere with mortals. Then it turns into a many Pantheon slobber-knocker. I thought this one was fun.

Thor does stupid things and Loki takes the blame and gets exiled to Earth. Where he becomes a rock star. ^-^ This is our Loki: playing both sides, sly, doing good but in a way that makes everyone angry. Perfect!

Endlessly fun and scratched that daydream itch I’ve had about the trickster for some time.

I mostly read this hoping I could pretend it was about Marvel's Loki and it turns out I could, so maybe that was the wrong approach but I was satisfied. (Not so much the other characters, though.)

absolutely fucking ridiculous, but well-drawn, and charismatic in its way.
