Broken Brains

This book is intended to dumb down the science speak so regular folks can enjoy the information and I think the author did a good job of doing that. I have been in the health field all my life and a great deal of it working with "broken brains" in one way or another.
The author covers a lot of territory and I learned some things. While discussing growth hormones, the famous soccer player Messi needed it as a child but the family was too poor but the soccer team FC Barcelona provided the shots! I never had heard that before!

Even my non-expert a** could notice some errors especially in psychiatric topics, but overall a very compelling read.

The personal anecdotes/case studies of neurology in this book were fascinating and the science behind them was broken down into layman's terms enough for someone with no background in neuroscience to understand and enjoy it
