Great story! Beach setting. Family relationships.

We are back in Cocoa Beach with the Sweeneys and their ever-growing extended family. As Annie readies the bakery, she gains an assistant who works for samples. We get more of Lori’s story and her wisdom helps several of the Sweeney ladies. Sam takes a chance, and Taylor has a decision to make. It is nice to catch up, and now we wait until the next book for more.

Love can sure hurt sometimes, and in Coco Beach Bakery we see this first hand. Sam with her trust issues. Tay with her indecisiveness. Lori with her looming divorce. Amber with her betrayal and hurt.
The icing on the cupcake, however, was Annie and her second chance at love and little Wiley Riley.

Annie... she's given up on men, moving her career to align with her passion - baking. Then a potential new relationship finds her. Lori and Amber... the new sister and niece. It's amazing how well they fit in with the rest of the Sweeney clan. Sam... she finally has a chance to be with Ethan, but won't let go of what he's not telling her about his past. Taylor... just when things start to heat up with Andre, Kai shows up. There's so much going on in Cocoa Beach. Dottie is an amazing matriarch, taking Lori and Amber in as if they were her own. This is the fifth book in the Sweeney family saga, and each book is better than the last. I feel as if I personally know this family. This is the first book I've read from this author, and maybe coming in with Book 5 isn't the best for the storylines.
There are multiple connected and not connected story plotlines to follow and there are scenes written from the perspective of different people.
Don't get me wrong; the plot lines are solid, interesting to read, and well-written. I am however, finding myself stopping reading to check in with myself who is who's sister, boyfriend, love interest, etc. It's a mental workout, for sure, but definitely worth the read.

Okay, this is my all time favorite so far in this series. Sweet Annie is featured more, and I LOVE her. We learn about choices and challenges and love and loss. We learn about infatuation versus love. We learn about new beginnings and timely endings. Loved this book and spent most of it either cheering them on or trying to stop them from making some bad decisions. And, yes, I feel like I know the extended Sweeney clan. After all, isn’t that the sign of a good book? So ready for the next book in the series!!!

Cecelia Scott is a new author to me and Cocoa Beach Bakery is the first book I'm reading by her and I like this book and the characters in it. I didn't realized this wasn't book one until I started reading it. It was still a good story to catch on to. The descriptions were vivid and easy to visualize, full of intrigue, excitement and romance. I am glad I downloaded, but I will go and read from the beginning books.

This series of books has been wonderful from the very first book. Being back at Sweeny House is amazing.
This book gave me more of everything I wanted from this family. I never imagined Cecelia Scott could outdo herself with this series, but she has brought more for me to love about this family.
The events and people and all the secrets they have along with the romance sprinkled in just made it so full of life and makes me ready for the next in this series.

This is the first book by this author that i have read, and I loved it. Despite this being the 5th book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone. I loved the small town theme,the beach atmosphere and the huge cast of characters who are very much 3 dimensional. It sometimes seemed as though I was watching a series rather than reading a book thanks to the wonderful writing and character building.

Excellent , a full compliment of characters all with their story to tell intermingled into one big extended family . A really fun read with moral undertones and love and compassion and dreams of happy ever afters . The anxiety feels real as you delve into each person’s life.A good escape for a few hours easy reading.

Cecelia Scott writes highly charged, emotional novels about families and their community. The setting is beautiful Cocoa Beach, FL where you can be swept back to that stunning beach side community.
The Sweeny family are a large part of the community and this book covers the ups and downs they experience. It is beautifully written and I have enjoyed benging on this series. If you enjoy Carolyn Brown and Debbie Maycomber I recommend trying these books!

Oh my goodness
I'm loving these strong women and there stories the up and down of every day life, the mystery of reaching inside your self finding who you are. I can relate and my heart can feel there pain and joy. This this the first time reading this author storyline and I can't wait for the next one to come out. If you're interested in heart warm strong will and love for family please read its worth checking out.

We're back in Cocoa Beach with Sweeney House and so much is happening. I loved the bakery storyline and the characters continue to grow and are real. The book is full of heart, hope and romance. This is a wonderful book and addition to the series with the delightful Sweeney crew and sweet romance.

Tears tears and more tears!
What can I say. This book and series has me going in all directions. Secrets are keeping all my favorite characters in a sad place. Life has so many ups and downs but why do all these things have to happen to this wonderful family. I hope that the next book brings some happiness to someone ! Enjoy!

The drama, joy, discovery, heartbreak, and love continue in book 5 of the Sweeney House series. I love how Cecelia Scott wraps some episodes up while bringing in new drama and promise in each book. I’m loving the characters and the story of how the family constantly has each other’s backs with love and patience.

Cocoa Beach!! Loved this series of real people; connecting, arguing, loving and getting on w/ life!
I love the setting b/c I love Cocoa Beach & have been there several times when I visited Florida. Although every novel has to have good times, compelling and heartbreaking scenarios; the events in this book were true to life. The characters were well developed but different in their lives, circumstances and personality. This mad them seem like friends not just characters in a book. Already have hold on Book 6!

cocoa beach bakery
Another great book. Knowing from experience, what some of the characters were going thru, it helped me deal with my situation a little easier. I will go to the next book now, waiting to see how their lives progress. Very entertaining book, and well written.
