This baby is coming—and Pasha is nowhere to be found.

At this point, I'm starting to lose track of how many people are trying to ruin my life. My parents. My ex and his mistress. Pasha's enemies (and believe me, there are a lot of those).

But Pasha abandoning me in the hardest moment I've ever faced is the cherry on top. He swore he'd be here... but he's not.

Until, suddenly, he is. The problem is, that might be worse. Because the man I loved has turned into something else. A monster. A stranger.

And our happily ever after has never looked farther away.

Sinful Bride is the second and final book in the Chekhov Bratva duet. Pasha and Daphne's story begins in the first book, Sinful Blaze.

It was like a train wreck, you couldn't look away.

This was the most poorly written and ridiculously dramatic plot I've ever experienced. Its like the author couldn't decide what conflicts she actually wanted, so she threw them all in. Also this HAD to be ghost written by a man, or at the very least a woman who has NO idea what postpartum looks like. Seriously. He was down there after 3 weeks??? Be for real. Hard and fast IN THE DOCS OFFICE at the 6 week appt??? Not a chance in hell. I couldn't put it down because every page was more eye roll inducing than the last.

GREAT- but tired of 2 book stories

The worst & most tired idea in ebook romances has been the excessive use of making one good story into 2 books. There are authors I stopped reading because this kind of manipulative bs is ridiculous. This was a good, great even, story with a hot, sexy romance and the author dragged it into 2 books instead of keeping it as 1 book. I would’ve given it 5 stars if I wasn’t so p.o.ed at this bs move. We deserve better.

I'm going to start with what I liked and then rant about the ridiculousness of everything else. I really enjoyed the "goodie" characters. Daph and Pasha were 👌🫶 I love that Daphne got sucked right into their family and through the books became more confident and sure of herself. Mak and Sofi were lovely side characters and so was Mel, Jameson and Hazel. And I love that Daph found a mum is Mama. When Pasha meets his baby, it was perfect, his emotional breakdown was beautiful. He was giving daddy 🫠 the journey for Daphne finding herself as a mum was also different and raw and I really enjoyed that.

I enjoyed both books but I probably would have made more sense if Pasha was just a billionaire ceo rather than pakhan. He just was not vicious enough to people that wronged his woman for a mob boss. Conrad had to sexually assault her - what - 4 times? Before he finally got unalived? His security was absolute trash.
And the scenarios both Conrad and Paris were found in were ridiculous. And why was he so kind to Paris? She was an absolute bitch who continually threw herself at him? I think everyone was mentally unstable so not sure why she got the lovey kid gloves?
Then there's daphs parents 🙄 how did they have so much pull when they're apparently disgraced and broke? How did they keep getting past the security like at the wedding 🥴 and the whole partnity business was just wholly unnecessary. Especially when it came out koysta was firing blanks? So he would KNOW those kids were his 🤦‍♀️

Honestly there are loads of ffs moments. It kind of felt like season 8 of a series that probably should have ended at season 3 but your committed to it and like the characters so you just take a deep breath and go with it 🤷‍♀️

After the first book, I was praying that Daphne would grow up and become the bad ass I saw glimpses of. Im so happy to say she did. She fought for what she wanted, even through her depression and insecurities in the first half of the story. Her parents, Conrad, Brittany, the senator, and even Paris are disgusting human beings!!!! I can't believe all the crap they put Pasha, Daphne, and all the family through. This book showed how much family can be blood but also the ones that you choose. I love how Asya, Sofiya, and Makari defended and loved Daphne. She desperately needed it. They showed her what loyalty and love truly is. Arlo has to be my favorite character. I was so glad to find out who he is to Asya and the family!! It made everything so much better. I don't think Pasha knew how to handle it all, which made it that much better. I loved this book! I'm definitely going to try and read other books by this author.

This is the second book in the series and picks up where Sinful Blaze left off. The author does a great job bringing Pasha and Daphne's story to a terrific conclusion with action and romance and had me glued to the pages from start to finish. It's well written, moves fluidly and is an awesome book/series. Loved and highly recommend reading.

There had been an argument between Pasha and Daphne about her hiding her family name of Hamish. Pasha knows that Stewart Hamish had a hand in killing his father and Stewart is causing problems for Pasha’s legitimate business. Daphne went to stay with Melanie and Jameson after the argument with Pasha. Daphne has gone into labor a little early. She has sent texts to Pasha to tell him she is in labor. Melanie and Jameson are there with her but she wants Pasha. Asya, Mak and Sofi are there but no Pasha. Pasha had promised he would be there for her. There is no stopping the baby. Daphne gives birth to Tatyanna. Pasha shows up after the birth and everything is going well until Stewart and Ophelia show up. Nobody wants them there and there is a scuffle and they leave. Then they notice that Tatyanna is gone. Pasha catches the Hamishes and gets Tatyanna back. Pasha decides that he wants to marry Daphne. Daphne has fallen in love with all of Pasha’s family and Asya his mother has become the mother Daphne always wanted. Pasha has been trying to get an arms contract with the government for a while. He had several senators in his pocket but someone else is blackmailing the senators to go against him. A new man shows up from Russia, his name is Arlo. Arlo was a pakhan in Russia but he is in semi retirement. Arlo was best friends with Kostya Pasha’s father and he was good friends with Asya growing up. Asya is very happy to see Arlo again. Daphne realizes that there is more to the story with Arlo and Asya so she asks Asya. Arlo and Asya were to marry years ago but Kostya stepped in and took Asya for his own. Asya was pregnant with Pasha one month after her marriage to Kostya. Daphne watched Arlo and Pasha and figured out that Pasha was not Kostya’s son, she confirmed that with Asya. In fact all of Asya’s children were Arlo’s. Mak gets arrested and he gets stabbed in jail. Stewart and Ophelia convinced Daphne to come back to them in order for the chaos to stop. Pasha gets Mak home and finds out that Daphne has gone to her old home to see her old parents. Will Pasha and his Bratva get there in time to save Daphne? Will Stewart and Ophelia get their comeuppance? What about Senator Brennan? Will Pasha and Daphne get the big family they want? Will Asya, Arlo, Mak and Sofi get a happy ever after? Will Pasha and Daphne find love and happiness amidst chaos from her parents?

Part of the Chekhov Bratva series again hang on and you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way! Picking up where book one left off with an argument between our two about why she didn’t tell him she changed her last name unbeknownst to her he informs her father had a hand in his father’s murder currently causing problems for him and his business. So, of course she leaves to stay with her friends but the stress of it all sends her into early labor of course despite their argument she wants him there so texting to inform she is in labor but he doesn’t show until after her little girl is born but of course it can’t stop there her parents show up despite being unwanted and attempted to steal their baby girl but this time Pasha is quicker catching them before they can disappear with his daughter. They love each other when he proposes marriage of course she agrees but of course there is always a monkey wrench thrown into the mix he has been trying to get an arms contract with several backing him, but someone is undercutting him to block the contract going to him throw into that an old friend of his father’s semi-retired Pakhan from Russia showing up who happened to be his mother first/only love but she was taken forced to marry Pasha father of course at the time she didn’t realize she was pregnant with Pasha at the time of said marriage but what about his siblings is the one related questions 😊. Her parents convince her to come home but I think she should have know nothing they do or say have ever been in her best interests always a hidden agenda will her husband get there in time to save her, will her parents finally get what they deserve, what about the senator, how will he feel learning about biological father, and will they finally find the happiness along with their family?

Is my ADHD hyper fixating on these stories? Probably tbh.

Yet another duet that you have to read both to feel any kind of satisfaction, but I still liked this one!

What's Inside ↴

Book One:
✨ Mafia boss hooks up with FMC after she lights a 5 million dollar painting on fire
✨ Mafia boss secretly is obsessed with her but is too stunted to figure out how to show it
✨ A chance meeting brings them back together and surprise! she is pregnant
✨ He burns everyone in her path to keep her safe while forgetting SHE needs to be taken care of emotionally

Book Two:
✨ Mafia boss realizes how he can have human emotions
✨ Surprise family twists!
✨ Conrad and Brittany get their HEA (lol)
✨ Big Russian family > everyone

Usually I do a "pro/con" list for books, but I am skipping that because all of the "cons" are for a reason and most resolve in book two.

✨ Pasha is a great MMC. I wish he was not a mob boss, tbh. He is much more of just a stupid rich guy who has no idea how to show feelings outside of spending money, not really a cold blooded killer.

✨ Daphne is a straight up doormat until book two. Like constantly being manipulated and controlled. She never pushes back in a meaningful way, she never tries to truly connect to Pasha despite his actions, etc. This drove me wild until I got to book two.

✨ I continue to love that in Naomi West's mafia world, women are valuable in positions of power. No virginity trope, no "stay home because you are a woman" (there's a little of this but Sofi can do whatever the f she wants), no "omg a daughter???? I am RUINED!!!!" from the MMC, etc.

✨ A little too much banging in this one. If you remove 50% of the spice, this duet would be one book. Kind of wish it was tbh. The doctor's office????? Come ON.

✨ I mean, whatever, I just want to have fun in a book. And this was fun.

I love when books take you on a ride. This is definitely one and I devoured it.

“Sinful Bride” is the second and final book in the “Chekhov Bratva Duet”. Pasha and Daphne’s love story continues - I was totally hooked, again! Daphne has always seen herself as a weak person, Pasha knows that she is not. As the story continues you see Daphne grow from strength to strength, and starts to take control of her life.

Pasha’s business is being investigated by the FBI to find out if he is involved in any illegal activities so they can bring him and the Bratva to their knees! Together, Pasha and Daphne work together to find out who is behind this and bring them down. On top of this they have become first time parents - a very stressful time for both of them. Their relationship goes from strength to strength. Making their love for each other even stronger ♥️♥️

The story is full of passion, intrigue, romance, danger, drama, twists and turns around every corner! There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Sinful Bride by Naomi West

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️.75

The second instalment of the Chekov Bratva bears witness to a new edition of the family. Whilst the ‘Sinful Blaze’ primarily focused on betrayal and revenge, the ‘Sinful Bride’ still adheres to these existing tropes but also allows for a contemporary nuance. Here, the plotting of enemies in the Bratva world hold no light to the postpartum experience of Daphne, and Pasha’s new journey as a father and partner to a traumatised woman. The added voices of the Chekov family hold even more power in this novel, as they provide comfort to the reader and a humour that disrupts quite a turbulent plot.

Within this novel, instead of readers receiving entertainment from the little cat and mouse game between Daphne and Pasha, here, the two finally provide a sense of solace and content for the reader. The external war of Bratva enemies and the FBI knocking at their door, holds no place in the relationship of the two. It’s difficult for readers to not succumb to a beautiful dynamic, where the presence of their newborn Tatyanna—is ultimately what was unknowingly needed in this series.

As the ending of ‘Sinful Bride’ nears, its dark turn to macabre doesn’t seem as abrupt as I would have anticipated. Daphne’s resilience and Pasha’s possessive possess establish a satisfying end to endless months of torment, kidnapping and disturbing peace to the new Chekov family. I absolutely was immersed into the second instalment of the series, it held the perfect balance of the mafia world and a loving contemporary romance.

PS. This was the perfect end to my 2025 books of the year.

Pasha & Daphne!!

Let me first start with this is my first read by this author. I read alot of Nicole Fox duets and found this to be very similar. Everything from the cover, blurb…etc and idk if I’m just missing something and that’s a coincidence but I say that to say I really liked this duet. It had darker themes and was more in detail with topics. Very good duet.

Now Daphne got on my nerves a bit and I wanted her to grow up at many points.

Totally get why she changed her name, but she should have long ago cut her parents off.

Loved her sister Melanie and her husband Jameson. Him speaking Russian at the end was amazing and a shocking surprise

Pasha and his family was everything she needed
The relationship between the siblings and mom was perfect.

When Arlo came into the scene I could tell already that he may have a been Pashas real father, but I was not expecting him to have fathered all three throughout the course of hookups over the years.

Baby taty, I enjoys that this series really got into motherhood. I’m not a mom but reading about breastfeeding and post pardum and seeing how the big mafia man navigated through that was refreshing.

Now this would have been darker and better had we gotten to read more about Conrad and Brittany’s death.
Literally both insane

Good Book

This is book 2/2 so must be read in order.
I will say the blurb for this book doesn’t match the actual book, the blurb says Pasha becomes a monster / stranger and that never happened at all.
Pasha is the reason I’m giving 4 stars as Daphne for a good chunk of this book was annoying, how she couldn’t see Pasha loved her was beyond me.
Then her lacklustre attitude on her wedding day, why couldn’t she just talk to him and ask all the questions she had.
I did like her again after they sorted her insecurities out and again all his family, Mel & Jameson & Hazel were fab characters.
Pasha was soo loving and caring and it wasn’t about the money it was little things like her smoothies and putting her pain meds in her drinks as she hated taking the tablets… that’s the things that show he is listening and wanting to make her life easier.
Conrad and Brittany got what they deserved however we didn’t fully see what they did to Brittany.
Paris also turned out to be cuckoo and at least they were nicer with her outcome.
I still couldn’t get over right to the end her parents were going to give her baby away so she could become the “good daughter” again and have options…. Options on who they sold her off to.
Ophelia should have had the same treatment as Stewart but I didn’t see the Scott twist at the end.
I have enjoyed this duet.

This book picks up exactly where the first book ends, which I appreciate, that the author didn’t go back and recap the first book, i’m not a fan when authors recap previous books in a series. I already know what happened, hence why I’m reading the series.

What I really liked about these two books is the amount of detail that goes into the descriptions of the emotions and thoughts of the characters. We’ve got childhood trauma, abandonment, infidelity (not between the two main characters) domestic violence, again, not between the two main characters, mob stuff, some interesting family dynamics, unplanned pregnancy examples of mixed culture relationships, an example of a good mother and daughter-in-law relationship, we have crazy ex lovers, political corruption/bribery, FBI involvement, and we have Daphne, the female main character who goes from a people pleaser to a woman you don’t wanna fuck with. Pasha, who goes from a man who never thought he was capable of loving a woman to falling hard for Daphne, but has constant mental battles of not wanting to become his father.

Basically, the series is a lot, but it was good.

Book 1 and 2

As a whole, I like the series. Not to say I didn't want to pull my hair out at times... a lot of times. The fmc was honestly exasperating. Book 1, I could chalk insecurities up to trauma and experience. I was annoyed at the continued secrecy despite literally every reason, to be honest. Book 2, the insecurities continued, and at first, I attributed to post partum depression. But by the time the wedding came around, I wanted someone to push her in a pool. How many times and ways does he, along with literally everyone, need to tell you to pull your head out of your butt and notice the obvious. Pasha was amazing with her because she was annoying. Aside from that, it was just sooo much going on as far as... everyone was a stalker/bad guy. Like 90% of the characters. As nice as Lev was, he was a horrible bodyguard, and pasha was less bratva leaning more into his businessman persona. Overall, it was an interesting book, lots of cute and funny moments and I liked the side characters

This book, and the duet overall, were just barely bratva. It felt like the whole thing was stretched out way too much, and the overarching story was just a little convoluted. Is everybody in the world crazy?

There were barely any bratva elements in this story. Sub it out for a billionarie businessman, and it is the same story, essentially. It didn't really add much to the story and could have been left out, honestly.

There was so much focus on her pregnancy and issues afterward that it felt like this was the main focus of book two. It was boring! I don't really need to read about all her breastfeeding issues and the problems therein.

I have to ask, is everyone in this world delusional and crazy? Let's break it down. Her parents, Conrad, Brittany, Paris, Brennan, I"m sure there are more I'm missing. This is just a bit too much, to the point that it is not believable. One or two is one thing, but that many makes me think the author couldn't think of anything else.

This could have easily been one book. I won't read this again, and I don't think I would recommend it, either.

MMC/FMC- Pasha and Daphne
Genre- Mafia Romance (Bratva)
Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋
Length- about 450 pages
Series? Duet, book two
Safety? N- attempted SA
Other Triggers- Graphic violence, explicit erotic content, language in two languages, blackmail, trafficking (discussed)
Tropes- Second Chance, He Ain’t Heavy- He’s My Bratva, Touch Her and Unalive, Dysfunctional Family FTW, HEA
Mewsings- I enjoyed this book a lot. So often the second book in a duet doesn’t live up to the first, but this one more than exceeded my hopes. Daphne finds her inner voice and becomes a force of nature, with the loving support of Pasha. And their relationship is beautifully intense with real chemistry, both emotional and physical. They both use their strengths to conquer their enemies and it’s so satisfying to read.

I do not normally love duets as I typically find the story over stretched in order to cover two books. Did that happen here? Yes, but not as bad as most. The first volume focuses on the build up of the relationship, the second one picks up exactly where the first left off. Daphne is about to give birth to their child just as all of the family and mob drama from the previous book comes to a head. This focuses on them fighting for their family and finding their way. The writing was good with the dialogue feeling natural instead of stilted or rehearsed. It traded between their perspectives and you got a sense of what each was feeling and battling. There were some great auxiliary characters that enhanced the story. The siblings, the inlaws, their families. The epilogues at the end sealed the deal for me. I would recommend this duet, as a formerly sworn off duets reader.

There have been several people trying to ruin Daphine's life. The only family Daphine has ever had is her sister Melanie, then she met Pasha's family and they treated her as one of them. EXHILARATING!!
Book 2 in the Chekhov Bratva is simply AMAZING!!
Pasha and Daphne’s story just got even more THRILLING and STUNNING.
The family betrayal that Daphne faces is so heartbreaking, yet very liberating. She finally sees and acknowledges what her sister, with whom she has a strong and healthy bond with, has been telling her to do all along.
This mafia romance gives you all the elements you enjoy and love with this trope.
Danger, suspense and a whole lot of PASSION.
You will be enthralled with Pasha and Daphne. Every part of their story will pull you in and astound you!
The sexy times are scorching hot and the road to HEA is highly entertaining and fascinating
So lose yourself in Pasha and Daphne’s deeply intense, enticing and heart-gripping romance.
Brilliantly written Naomi! I absolutely love these characters and their story is REMARKABLE!

Naomi West delivers another solid 5-star read with "Sinful Bride," the thrilling conclusion of the Chekhov Bratva series. This book, filled with dark, delicious, and dirty elements, ends on a gripping cliffhanger.

Daphne, a curator, catches her boyfriend cheating and meets Pasha, the ruthless Pakhan of the Chekhov Bratva, who helps her by kissing her in front of her ex. Their unexpected chemistry leads to more, including burning a $5 million painting from her ex.

Daphne's influential but dysfunctional family complicates things. Discovering she's pregnant, she moves in with Pasha, deepening their bond. The birth of their baby forces priorities to shift. Will Pasha stay after learning her secrets? Where will their journey lead?.

Great ending

This was a crazy, suspenseful, intense duet. I could not put either one down, and ended up binging both within 24 hours. This one in particular was extremely emotional. Those first chapters almost broke me. Watching Daphne struggle so much. But I was so happy with her growth, which continued through this book. She was far from the non-confrontational doormat that she was at the beginning. And it was amazing to watch.

Pasha has had my heart from almost the beginning. Even with his struggles, by the end, he became someone I was happy to root for. His family is even more amazing than they were in the first book. I adore his mother and how she took in Daphne as her own. Just great.

Fantastic duet that I will definitely be adding to my list of favorites. And I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Great ending

I loved the first book in this series! It was amazing! Sinful Bride book 2 started out slow and I almost stopped reading it. I think the author let Daphnes whining and her insecurities go on way to long. Pasha showed her over and over how much he loved her. The blurb was not correct Pasha never turned into a monster or stranger. They had a fight he was upset and went to his office for a couple of nights. Then he came back they made up. Plus it was not realistic to be the head of the Brava and have her parents and her ex still show up and hurt your wife over and over. The good news this is a talented author and she finally had Daphne turn into the strong women she was meant to be and the book got a lot more interesting. The ending was great a lot of mysteries were answered.

bored me to sleep. barely bratva

I know I’m sorry but this book was hard to get through. So much repetition in the beginning. And i understand Daphne had ppd but it sounded so whiny. I grew sick of her. Took me 3 days to finish AND I skipped like 25%. At 50% i just decided to jump to 80% because i wasn’t gonna be able to finish this book in its entirety. For a bratva book it was baby level. Yes there was a bit of v!0lence here and there but i was expecting a bit more of a bang not all this "oh no they’re trying to ruin my life and mu family but i guess I’ll just wait and see what happens". If that’s what the bratva is like I’m surprised they’re still existing.

Honestly felt like this could have been like a 250 page book. Predicted everything no twists no great scene. Just never ending

The first story must be read befor reading this one or you will be lost. I wondered how Pasha was going to get out of the mess he was in!! I loved how Pasha's family takes care of and treat's Daphne as one of their family and shows what family should be like, supporting each other. There's humor similar to the first book and violence. The questions of what the heck is going on in Pasha's buisness and Daphne's life finally gets revealed although its no big surprise. There are also parts of the story where we read more about his parents life, especially his mom's, with a plot twist of sorts that wasn't to hard to see coming. Wonderful happy ending to the duet.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
