Four friends must rise up against the end of all things in the final installment of this epic fantasy-adventure series.
The monstrous Void continues to ravage the Prime Kingdoms, leaving one of them in ruins. Dungeons everywhere run amok, and refugees from around the continent flee to find safety. In a desperate attempt to end the chaos, four heroes from the Adventurers' Guild scour the world for its final secrets.
With his past finally revealed, the priest and healer Sev searches for answers in the notes he's left behind. Vex, the lizardkin wizard, works to harness an incredible power to counter the Void—one that comes at a terrible cost. Meanwhile, sentient armor Derivan and battle-ready half-orc Misa are fighting to protect everything they've come to hold dear.
Fortunately, they won't fight alone. Their journey so far has earned them loyal allies, from stray bandits to lost peoples and even forgotten gods. The world itself has united against the encroaching Void. But when their opponent is the end of all things . . . that may not be enough.
The fourth volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with almost two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!
This story is the kind that sets a standard for others to live up to. The kind that pulls off such a creative and unique take on its genre that it deserves more stars than you're allowed to give it.
A lot of LitRPGs (even some of my all time favorites like Threadbare) just reuse the "System" trope with little to no exploration of what it is, where it comes from, or why it exists. It's just how the world works here. Or it's a new thing that happens to set off the events of the story and allow characters to gain lots of power. Those questions are often given cursory or hand-wavey answers, if they're addressed at all.
Not so here, where those questions, their answers, and the process of investigating them (along with many other mysteries) reveal deep, fundamental truths that have shaped the situations faced by the protagonists and the world. Many answers reveal yet more problems, acting as a significant driving force to move the plot forward. And that's just what I can say about the System trope!
I'm going to stop there because it's hard to talk about all the things that make this series so good while avoiding potential spoilers, but... I think it's safe to say that trying to save the world is usually not quite so literal.
I absolutely fell in love the characters. Although you have to read the whole series to get through the big questions in the plot, I couldnt stop reading this series because of how much the characters grew in each book. This series was, for me, all about character growth and I loved it (though I was a bit tired of the plot by the end of the series).

All good things must come to an end, and Edge Cases comes to extremely satisfying end in the final volume of the series.
Seriously, I binged through the entire series in like a week - I adore it, and I highly recommend giving it a read if you love found families trying their best to make the world a better place.
