Erica Pass uses the children’s book The Long Hot Recess to show the theme be careful of what you wish for. The book focuses on Timmy Turner whose focus is on the rain, so he makes a wish to make the sun be out and it’s also summer vacation all the time. Cosmo’s focus is to help Timmy understand how he can fix his wish. Wanda has the same focus as Cosmo, minus she tries to tell Timmy that this is a bad idea. The book is about Timmy being tired of the rain and him wanting it to stop so they can go outside and have a good time. Will it be good idea?

I recommend this book to young readers that like fantasy and like to wish stuff would happen and to show people that it couldn’t always be a good thing if that wish came true. The reason I recommend this book because it has a good lesson behind it and will teach kids to be careful of what they wish for. “it is way too hot I WISH IT IS BACK TO NORMAL!
