Zenina Masters was born in Canada and lives in Canada. She has a regular job and does nothing particularly exciting with her life. She enjoys fishing, silence and the ability to pick and choose friends she can trust. Life is too short to watch your back all the time.

Her writing life is a teeny bit of escapism, she would probably chicken out if confronted by three naked men and looks forward to one day finding out.

The Romance Review

Snobbery of physical attributes is alive and well. Molly is the oldest daughter with a throwback shifter shape. Even though her shifter shape is a king vulture and is rare, it causes her parents embarrassment and they hide her like a dirty secret.

Ms. Masters creates another wonderful pair of characters in Molly and Damon. The two of them are sweetly matching in their animal counterparts. Molly is the one who does it for me in this story. She's a survivor who will create her own life sans the baggage of her family. What is shocking is how Molly is treated. Her parents treat her heinously. Molly takes it all with quiet grace and walks away. Yet this isn't enough. They continue to lie about Molly and try to force her to live a miserable, isolated life. Seriously, it's a shock her parents haven't hired someone to kill her. Or better yet, sell her to the elves who want to keep shifters as their personal sex toy animal.

The chemistry between Molly and Damon is fun and delightful. Although they may have met under less than ideal circumstances, it all worked out beautifully. Damon is a wonderful man and he shows how much he cares about Molly in all the right ways. The ending of this story is a delight because it feels justified.

Ms. Masters continuously writes sweet romances surrounding this great matchmaking haven. Can't wait for the next book. Recommended to paranormal lovers who enjoy watching petty people receive their comeuppance.

I just plowed my way through this entire series in a few weeks. I've been a fan of Viola Grace for a while now and managed to pick up this series on an ebook special. I really enjoyed them, especially the unusual shifter species.

The heroine of this story grew up in a family who is embarrassed by her differences. They have marginalized her while controlling her. She breaks away and manages to find a man who truly appreciates her as she is. He is self-assured, but not an alpha hero. While he initially has some misconceptions about her, he quickly corrects them when information to the contrary arises.

It is a fun story and I'm looking forward to reading more of the series.

Molly is a random King Vulture in a family of Condors. Her family feels shamed by this so they keep her hidden away working as a baker in their tea house. Her parents treat her with contempt and purposely make her work during social events so she can't be seen. Her sisters treat her no better. Molly finally makes the decision to go to the Crossroads looking for love, happiness, and a family to call her own. Even though her family doesn't want her they also don't want it to come out what they have done so the set the council on Molly. Damon, an Avian Council Member is sent after Molly after being misled that she was a runaway teenager who's loving family wants returned to them. When Molly and Damon meet the sparks will fly and Damon will make sure her family can never hurt her again.

I really like this series, such great variety in the shifter types. This book takes us into the birds again, who knew they were so elitist?

While I enjoyed the story, both the meeting and after at home, I did feel it was missing action. There could have been more drama with the family. It just felt anti-climactic in the end. Instead of telling us the way they tried to cause trouble, I would rather have seen it and had more conflict be explored.

There is some really smexy lovin going on! Plenty of outdoor steam! It gets plenty sexy a couple times.

I am really hoping the next books pick up the story arcs that were started with the Shifter Council and the Fae. There are a lot of threads to be picked up there. I am addicted to this series no matter what, I just want the books to have a touch more drama/action in the stories, something other than just the romances.

Molly has never fit in with her family because she just doesn’t fit the mold her parents live by. They have to keep up appearances in order to live the life they’re accustomed to so they send the leader of the Avian council to retrieve her in the Crossroads.

Damon expects the woman he is sent to retrieve to be young lady who is not ready to make the decision to mate. He’s surprised to find that she’s older and he’s immensely attracted to her.

I really liked the twists and turns of this story. I really enjoyed the twist that helps these two really connect. I highly recommend this story because it has all the elements of a Crossroads romance, but without the normal suspense. It was a throwback to what led me to fall in love with the series in the first place.

I liked this one better than the previous one. once again the characters are what made it better. A little more length in the story would be appreciated.
