2023- I find it sad that because around the same time they decide to be together, their parents beat them to the announcement. I don't know how I would react to such a situation. I wish they would try to talk to their parents at least. How they don't see each other as brother/sister. And their parents are only engaged! While I see the social implications for the kids being together, they aren't siblings yet. And yet they are referred to each other that way. Same with the grandmother. Umm, not yet! This Yuza guy (I thought girl at first too!)is going to cause such trouble I see.
Funny. Confusing, but Takeru is never straightforward with his feelings... so it's expected and yet it's unexpected - if that makes any sense... Sweet. Weird and creepy- a new character is introduced who likes speaking in third person and says that he likes Kayano! He's nothing like Yuichi or Takeru who are kind at heart, but this new guy is just devious.
Gahh, sometimes Kayano is too nice for her own good!! I understand that you should forgive those that hurt you and not hold onto all this hate, but some things are too terrible to get over so quickly. I can't believe she forgave both Rika and Youhei this fast. Rika wanted Kayano to 'disappear' and Youhei tried to make her 'disappear' A.K.A. he tried to kill her. They were just like, 'My bad..' and Kayano was like, 'It's cool. No problem'.
I'm liking how Kayano and Takeru's relationship is developing. They both like each other, but it seems like they're unsure of where to go next. Plus, it doesn't help that the whole step-sibling thing is hovering over them. I think that they are perfect for each other. Kayano is good for Takeru and I think she'll get him to open up more and stop being so cold. I liked when she took care of him when he was sick. He kissed her and was like, 'We'll continue this later...' Haha, the whole exchange was really cute!
As for Yuza, the new guy, he is a douche. If it's the same as the drama, I already know what his deal is, but I don't like him anyway. He's manipulative and a downright creeper. I can't believe he was following Kayano like some kind of stalker.
Confessing to the person you like is never easy, having the attention seeking Edogawa Tekeru know who you like is even worse. Kayano thought high school was going to be hard enough but take on running errands for Takeru and it is almost unbearable especially when their parents are getting married and they have to move in with one another.
I loved the storyline development and growth of the characters. This is a series that I was really excited about reading. The romance does not start at the beginning but it grows stronger because of everything the couple has to overcome and go through. Kayano is a lovable personality and even though most people do not like Takeru in the beginning, he grows on you too.
