Handsome, heterosexual Tom Blake is a typical, Mid-Western, unfaithful husband until the day he receives an email, instructing him to show up at a gay bar -- or else! What starts as a simple bit of blackmail by his co-worker Aaron soon becomes more complicated as Tom finds himself struggling with feelings he's never experienced before. Will Tom resist his unexpected, burgeoning passion for Aaron? Or will Tom find himself ... Turned Gay?
Dear Reader: This is a complete story, not the first few chapters, not a cliffhanger. There is a beginning, middle and end, full stop.
Taryn James was born on her birthday in a quiet little seaside town. After a wholly undistinguished secondary school career, she managed to get into a wonderful program at University, going on to eventually achieve a doctorate in her field thus proving that you don't have to waste your teenage years studying in order to make something of yourself.
Taryn has long enjoyed writing stories, most of which were published on various internet fora, for free. A few years ago she began looking into what it would take to get published traditionally and quickly realized it probably wasn't even worth enquiring into-- after all, no point in asking questions when you already know the answers. So, she ventured into the world of self-publishing, which she found and continues to find quite rewarding.
Writing was strictly a part-time hobby until recently, when after many years of a successful bioengineering career, Taryn decided to write full-time. Her works can be found on her author page. To receive advance notice of new releases, bonus content and giveaways, subscribe to her newsletter.
Of course picky finiky self... Cheating to mask the deep DEEP unkwowing gay: Acceptable. Bet turned wrong.. or perhaps wrong side out or trapped in your own web: Unwillingly Acceptable. Wife's reaction to finding out: Unrealistically Unacceptabe
Hmm wondering about that, yes? Just that not going to town and cleaning house and taking e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g and getting Daddy involved just is pushing boundaries of believable. I'm GLAD that she turned out so understanding but they just didn't feel like they were best friends that can understand and forgive almost anything with each other. Is that unfair? hmm Totally. Still MY opinion and how I feel.
And I didn't feel like there was a lot of being 'turned' going on. A few kisses and a blowjob and then Tom decides that he is really into guys or just really Aaron.
AND I don't get the title.. Volume one? This even as blurb says has beginning middle AND end. So if there WAS a volume two how can Tom get even MORE gay? Sorry just think that is kind of funny :)
Although it was a short story, it had everything you could want in a romance. I really loved the characters and it was kinda life like. What started out as a bet turned out to be the best thing for Tom and Aaron. I would have liked to he read how Tom went back to Aaron and facing the family but it went straight to the epilogue. I wish we had the full experience of this relationship.
