Carmen Vasquez was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, a real Georgia peach.
With a Mexican father and a black mother, she has such a spice to her, which forces people to either love or hate her. She grew up wealthy, but that didn't stop her from always finding interest in those bad boys from the other side. The other side is where she meets her baby's father, Ramonte. This dynamic is so toxic and unhealthy, it is one of the biggest reasons that sent Carmen running to Miami, Florida for a new life to start with her daughter, Sofia. In Miami is where Insane is, and honestly, there's more drama there too.
Arquavious, better known as Insane, is the most handsome, thugged-out, trash-talker, piece of addiction that you'll ever meet. Many women love him, but none have ever been successful in getting that love back from him in return. He's real particular on who he chooses to give his heart to, and he lacks trust, which is why he's never loved, or been in love. That's until he gets to officially meet Carmen and really learn who she is.
Two individuals that'll quickly go insane for each other—if they can get the relationship to work. Secrets are kept, loyalty is tested, and friends are switching up, but in the midst of this, a beautiful love story is in the works.

Fake enemy to lovers! Insane and Carmen talked so much ish to each other that you just knew once they got together it would be intense. And intense it was! Insane talked and took her through it! He cockblocked his homeboy day 1. I liked how he cut Kalisha off once he decided that he was serious with Carmen.
The guil of Raymonte - to still be in “love” with Carmen but freaking off with Emilia!!! Emilia girl you playing a dangerous game! You playing 2nd to your cousin and then he got you being an investigator in her business. You mad that she moved to Miami and you know longer have access to her!
I’m glad Carmen had hands!! Kalisha needed that and she got that!
It’s so many people in this book- Bria, Montana, Alicia, PeeWee, Raymonte, Emilia, the mamas and the siblings.
