I was too young to know what went on, but now that I know, it's time to get it back in blood. Protecting my sister and my niece or nephew is more important than basketball.
Making sure the man who was behind trying to end me is ended is more important. With mentors like Capone and Cappadonna behind me, I can't lose.
My head is in the game. I'm focused, and I want revenge. I refuse to sit down until someone's blood is on my hands for taking Joie and our child away from me. I refuse to lose, and I'm making sure my family is protected by any means necessary.
It's funny how I used to be against the streets, and I still am. However, if I'm going to marry Capone and into the Delgato family, those views need to change. I need to ride for my future husband like I know he would ride for me. It's time for me to put all my fears and reservations behind me and stand beside Capone.
We are a target. People want to bring harm to our front step, and it's time to stand beside my husband and protect our family.
My only rule is that Capone has to always make it home to us.
I love when I go into a recommendation blindly and it turns out to be one of the most enjoyable, entertaining experiences. Capone’s series was so so good and kept me on the edge of my seat from page one of book 1 to page 312 of book 3!
No Capone slander will be tolerated. The way this man will give you the shirt off his back and the heart out of his chest is everything. He talks that talk and backs it tf up every time! I loved loved LOVED how this man was coming behind his family every single time! You can’t convince me that this man wasn’t obsessed with his wife! Forget living in her skin, that man WAS her skin!! Capone and Erin were everything!!
I loved the representations of sickle cell, alopecia and Down syndrome! When an author incorporates real life into fiction and does it well…. Chefs kiss! It humanizes the characters and the story and I really enjoyed these elements and how each character dealt with the struggles associated with them.
Tasha FINALLY got what she deserved!! Trilla FINALLY got what he deserved!!
Capri and Naheim’s storyline was my least favorite and I’m really not sure I want to read more about them. I wouldn’t mind if they were replaced with Jaiden and his lil friend Elliott or even Ryai and Big Mike! I definitely want more from them!
The action was bananas in book 3 and the way the story ended answered all of my questions. I may still have one of two but nothing earth shattering. I can’t wait to see what “twin…..where have you been” Mr. Cappadonna Delgato himself has in store for us!
Book three was a banger, I enjoyed all the plot twists as well as the resolutions we got for all of them. The grammatical errors were just as bad as book 1&2. The author kept mixing up Erin and Ella’s name and would use Ella’s name when she was talking about Erin. I don’t know who runs Joseph Editorial Services but if this is their work, they should be out of business by now. Capo at the funeral was some nasty work. 😈 and the way they hyped Cappadonna up throughout this series, I can’t wait to see just how unhinged he is.
I went through every emotion known to mankind in this series. I am worried about my mental state as I continue to Season 2 lol.. I absolutely loved booked 3! So many raw emotions & the character development was real!! I really enjoyed Jaiden’s growth & maturity in this book. Hearing his POV in some of the chapters was refreshing and it made me love him even more. His naiveness quickly dissipated after the events in Book 2! I also enjoyed how Ella evolved. I didn’t quite want her unalived but she absolutely worked my nerves at first. I am looking forward to jumping into Cappadonna’s world!
I wanted to make sure I read all 3 books before coming to give my review. I will be reposting this on every book
Please note I picked this book up 3 times to start This journey with the Delgato Family. At first I thought it was just my mood reading issue and I wasn’t in the mood for the book even though Black Urban Crime Families are hands down my guilty pleasure.
Blurb: Erin is the survivor of the murder suicide of her parents. She becomes the guardian and provider of her little brother. This story follows her journey of raising a teen brother while living in the hood, struggle and finding the ultimate love from a forbidden source… it’s a journey getting to that tho…
After completing book 1 I realized it wasn’t me and my mood that couldn’t process this first book, book 1 simply just didn’t grab me. I was at 59% of book one and my head was hurting I felt like it was a constant repeat of the same scene over and over. It wasn’t until 89% of Book one that the plot started to form. I can’t speak for everyone else but for me that’s entirely too long to captivate someone to keep reading 2 more books. But there was the cliff hanger and that alone forced you to book 2 bc now you are invested bc you spent 350+ pages waiting on them to get to the point.
In Book 2 the pace picked up and more and more drama started to unfold. However the book again was on a constant repeat of words. Many new plots, secrets, and twist were revealed but I felt like I was waiting and holding my breath for them to get to the point of bridging the gaps, so here we are at 75% of book 2 before things start to finally make sense, and plots start having a bit of closure but that cliff hanger yet again held you in the grips for the next book.
Book 3 was where things finally started to take shape and it was less taking and more action! This is where I finally saw the depths of each character the lessons learned and the sacrifices from everyone mentioned! This is where I fell in love with Capone, he was about ACTION in book 3 something flipped in him and everything you new he could be he became when the threats of his family were in the balance. The female characters strength and resilience were put on page and the relationship building and character development was phenomenal.
I will end with saying this. Patience is needed to truly enjoy this series bc the repetitive banter in books 1 & 2 were exhausting, book 3 was much much better but now I’m trying to decide if I want to go on this journey again with Cappadona
3.5⭐️ (rounded up) -The Delgato family is giving new age MOB energy 😭, they don’t play when it comes to revenge! This was a wild ride from start to finish. While some parts felt a bit repetitive and I wish we had gotten more insight from our main character’s perspective, overall I had a great time. I’m hyped to get into Cappadonna’s story next!
This one was good. This series came highly recommend by an army of people and if I’m honest I feel it under delivered. THE SERIES IS GOOD. But in this book just Like the first 2 I still skimmed ALOT of the book and didn’t miss the overall story line. There are some editorial issues in this one that I didn’t catch in the first 2. Other than that it’s a typical urban rich family series. I did not like Erin’s character development specifically because she is portrayed as a damsel in distress or some fragile girl when her history proves that she is or was anything but that. I also didn’t like how ryai randomly reappeared and no one pieces together her relationship with Tevin and him being related to trill. I feel as though for a family that is so hell bent on protecting family she was the ONLY person who didn’t get her lick back in a sense. I won’t speak too much on capris situation because I know her books are last. I have not decided if I will continue on to cappadonna just yet BUT aside from that there was some really good moment in this book! I loved that capri always stepped even though she was first portrayed as a sweet innocent girl, I loved Jaiden and Erins character development. I still don’t know if I fully trust Erin BUT she has really stepped up. I also want to speak on the Amount of health conditions in this series. In my first review for book 1 I appreciated the books having real life health conditions like Alopecia and sickle cell anemia but now adding Down syndrome it almost takes away from the book especially since it’s really not necessary. I really wanted them to just have a happy healthy baby especially since the story is already so drama filled with so many moving parts. It’s just good, I didn’t hate it I enjoyed reading it but I also didn’t absolutely love it like a lot of people do.
This was good but I felt like it could’ve just been 2 books instead of 3. My fav thing about this was probably the fact that their baby was born with a disability. I really appreciated that bc you don’t see that much in romances. But tbh, I just know that Capodonna is the man for me lmao. I’m so glad him finally free 😅👏🏽 and can’t wait to start his series
A lot of things were repeated about five times over to the point I genuinely believe all three books could be cut in half and be told in one short 400 page novel. I felt like I was reading a telenovella. I was entertained, but annoyed the entire time. All of these people are in their 30s and 40s, but acted like they were 15 years old.
Erin is a bus driver, trying to raise her teenage brother after her parents die tragically in a murder-suicide. She doesn't have time for anything but making sure he's okay. But then she runs into a childhood love, and gets swept away by his brother-in-law, Capone Delgato. And the rollercoaster begins.
So I'm going to hide this for spoilers because I'm putting the same review in all three installments of this book. I like Capone and his ways. He's tough, but still fair. Very self-aware and very together. But can get unhinged when he needs to. He's a good father and devoted to his brother and the business. I love how Erin makes a way. She was a nag, like older sisters can be, but in a good way. I like that she cared for her brother the way she did. The two of them together are funny and wild. Their passion is great and i love the way Capone made Erin's family his and rode for them. Erin had her stubborn moments but she couldn't deny where she was loved and protected and I like that too. I like the alopecia and chronic illness rep although it didn't seem to serve any real purpose in terms of the character development. Sometimes it felt like something just thrown in and you couldn't see where it contributed to their nuance as individuals or even how it affected their love and the way they performed love. It would have been nice to have more tie-in. Although the issues with the pregnancy and their baby having Down's Syndrome felt like something that gave the story solid emotional weight, and their feelings about it were written well.
Jaiden's loss of Joi and the baby was another solid storyline that added to the plot without taking too much attention away. Jaiden's growth as a character was pretty great as well. And the way things wrapped with him killing Timmy was a nicely done piece of the story arc. Ella's story started as something relevant and a good addition, but just became an annoyance for me after a while. And between Ella and Tash's constant presence, Capone's insistence on not getting into women's business was a flimsy excuse for letting someone knowingly play your sister. That took him down in my estimation. Cappadonna too, for having Naheim's back and not his own sister's. That confused and annoyed me. It took away from who the author made the brothers out to be.
The war and the street shit they were fighting was enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat and it rounded out in a nice way. There was a lot going on, but not so much you couldn't keep track and you knew who you were rooting for. I will say there got to be too many POVs for me after a while, but I like that I didn't see any of the cliffhangers coming. Also, while I know it made for great drama, Naheim and Capri's side story was boring and kinda predictable. They took up like a third of book three and after a while I didn't care, about them or Kincaid. They were all moving reckless and so sloppy and I gave them all the side eye mostly.
Overall, not a bad series. I don't know if I want to take the ride with Cappadonna though. This was a lot.

☆☆☆☆☆ ——- This was the perfect ending to Capone’s series! I absolutely loved this one! The way the whole family SLID every time when it came to one of theirs was chefs kiss! Capone is not a man to play with when it came to his family bruh.
I love the way Ella handles herself in every situation. She loves anybody associated with her and I actually liked the way she handled her relationship with Ella, even though I can’t stand her for her stupid decisions. Ella and Cj’s relationship was soooo cute.
This book had a lot more action than the other two books and I ate it up. Them highway scenes had me HOOKED! I’m scared of Capri, Kincaid, and Capone’s crazy selves!!!
FINALLY, TASHA, TRILLA, AND TIMMY GOT WHAT THEY DESERVEDDDD!
Overall, this was an amazing series and I can’t wait to get into Cappadonna books because I heard he even more unhinged and I love that in a man! —— Read This Series If You Like ☞ Possessive, “Touch Her and D**” MMC ☞ Scarred FMC ☞ Street Beefs ☞ Complicated Family Dynamics ☞ Multiple POV’s ☞ Grief Rep ☞ Down Syndrom Rep
We follow Erin through all three books along with a cast of characters, some good and some bad. There was action, romance, and deep issues such as grief and disability.
I listened to this series after seeing several mutuals on tiktok recommend it and I had a blast! I was so interested in the characters lives I’m sad it ended. I loved the issues handled throughout this series and don’t want to give anything away but I really enjoyed these books.
It’s gonna be a shootout & 🥷🏾 bussin on the highway. I loved this series & I’m ready to dive into Cappadonna. Capone found love, happiness, & contentment with Erin. In return she found an unhinged protector. Although he was foul I was rooting for Naheim & Capri but she had to stand on business. Welp let me get ready to see what Capp all about.
This was a delightful experience 😊; every moment was filled with excitement. There were times when I felt the urge to express my frustration with the characters, which shows just how engaged I was. Despite some familiar aspects, this journey still earned a solid four stars instead of five.
She wrapped this story up really well…..it was so much happening but I didn’t feel overwhelmed. I finished this in like 6 hours and I’m exhausted but I’m definitely about dive in Cappadonna. I had a good time on this ride, can’t wait to keep going!!!!!
For me this was a 3 ⭐️ series. Each story kept me caught up in the boiling over hood drama, cheating scandals, betrayals and ghetto love! They all ended with a cliffhanger that made you instantly start on the next book! So, why a 3 ⭐️ series? Book 1 introduces us to Capone and Erin’s backgrounds, family life and budding relationship. Book 2 picks up after a big cliffhanger & deeper into couple life, which was a bit boring. Book 3 was more action packed, and brings more of Capri’s drama, but very repetitive. They were good, but a bit of the exact same structure that is common in most urban fiction. The HNIC with endless wealth, luxury cars…sets his sights on the sweetest, most deserving woman to have his back. He immediately sweeps her off her feet, lavishes her with expensive gifts, moves her in & controls her whereabouts under the guise of love. Capone wasn’t the big dog that he thought he was. He and his family kept getting touched and put in danger. I hated how things escalated and innocent people had to be lured into a life of crime. A true boss would’ve stayed in the loop to be prepared for any risk of danger to his family. And as a man he should’ve kept the younger men in his family away from the life. I didn’t like how Capone treated Ella like trash. The one thing that I would’ve liked to have seen more of throughout the series were on the topics of alopecia and sickle cell. That was good. I used to read urban fiction all the time, so now it’s like reading the same story with different names. In this genre it’s very hard for me to find something fresh and exciting because the books I read in the 2000s pretty much had the game on lock and the new ones read more like replicas of the classics The Prada Plan, B-More Careful+. I fear Capadonna and Capri will be more of the same. This is a well loved series so definitely read it for yourself!! The narration was ok, I liked Winston James’ performance.
I enjoyed this ride! We finally got the conclusion of Trilla and Capone and it was poetic! I was sad to see the end of Capri and Nahiem but honestly, I’m ready for them both to move on. I don’t want Capri with the biker 🥴 Call me a hater but she can’t want to have Nahiem in her life and be dating?! That’s insane and selfish. Erin and Capone were everything and I loved their little family. Capo had Erin’s back no matter what! Jaiden’s growth in this book was beautiful and I can’t wait for the updates from him! So many action scenes made me feel like I was in a movie! So good! Also, Tasha got what was coming for her! The teaser at the end of Cap’s book was honestly not enough! I’m ready to see what story Cap has to tell!!
Please read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book!
By the time I got to the 40% mark I wanted everybody that I couldn’t stand taken out!!!! At first only Ella got on my nerves since book 1, but by book 2 Tasha was a close second, & I felt like both the frenemies needed to be side by side in the grave at 50% of this book! The way this book took me through every emotion is crazy!
4.25 🌟 This book of the series played out like a classic BET hood movie, and even though it took me longer than the first two books to finish due to my reading mood changing mid read, it was definitely a well done and highly enjoyable conclusion to Capone Delgato's story in the Delgato family saga!
The epilogue from Erin's POV and all the hood activity leading up to the HEA was really the best parts of this book. The wrath brought down on Trilla and Tasha were exactly what they deserved, and I was damn near giving a standing ovation for how beautifully it was executed. Also seeing Ella finally grow tf up and realize her shortcomings was well worth the wait. And even though Capri's drama and mess with Naheim urked me to no end, she was a real genuine friend and sister who definitely deserved the “flowers” she was given in the epilogue by Erin and Capone; may she get her messy ass love life together though.
I will definitely be continuing with Cappadonna's story when the mood for hood sh*t arrives, and hopefully there's plenty of cameos from some of my favorite characters as well as introductions to some new ones.
Capone 3 delivers everything I hoped for—and more. Jahquel J. closes out this chapter of Capone and Erin’s story with raw emotion, explosive drama, and a love so deep it refuses to break, no matter how many bullets fly.
Capone is every bit the man you love and fear—loyal, ruthless, and willing to risk it all for his family. Erin’s strength shines even brighter here, balancing love, loyalty, and the weight of her own battles. Their connection is intense, messy, and heartbreakingly beautiful.
This book has it all—betrayal, family drama, street wars, passion, and moments so real you feel them in your chest. The stakes are higher than ever, and every chapter pulls you deeper into their world. By the last page, you’re torn between needing to catch your breath and wanting to start it all over again.
If you’ve been following the Delgato Family, this is the payoff you’ve been waiting for. Gritty, emotional, and unforgettable—five stars, hands down.
YES YES AND MORE YES’S!!!!! Favorite series of the year for sure. I LOVEEEEE the way Capone’s mood was: i will catch a body for my family and smile in the mug shot okay?! This is the way I love an unhinged man okay?! FAMILY FIRST. I love the way Erin immediately connected with Capri and showed her how a real friend is suppose to treat you!! Honey GROWN because she treated Erin better than I woulda been able too! Capri is my FAV. I am so ready for her book to see her growth and if she gets back with her husband or not.. and honey the way Jaiden GREW on meeee !! The growth was amazing, at that point that’s MY little brother im protecting okay?! I was sooo happy he was able to get his lick back because HE DESERVED IT. and ESPECIALLY Tasha no good ahhh. whew. i have so many thoughts im still tryna process… CAPPADONNA HERE I COME!!!

Mane it was so much going on in this book, the drama, the love, the betrayal, the hurt, the mistrust you name it. This book was written so well. I love how everything tied into itself and the story ended beautifully. All the trials and tribulations was well worth the fight. All she knew was that he man better get back to her!!
