I thought that Shane is in love with Natalie since they were kids. He claimed he had feelings for her but couldn’t do anything about it because she was his best friend’s little sister. But then he married Lou and he said “she meant everything to me”. Clearly Natalie is the only one in love since they were kids. I think that if Shane and Natalie didn’t meet again Shane wouldn’t make a move. Feels like Natalie is convenient because she’s nice and good with his kids.

DNF @15% after chapter 5.

I couldn't stand the long-winded writing style. I like stories like this in general, but the execution didn't appeal to me in the slightest.

Ugh

To be fair, this is not a bad book, really. It's just not for me. I think 'sweet' usually means no on-page sex. However, this is more like a world where sex doesn't exist. Very chaste, saccharine sweet, problems magically disappear, lots of communication by eye contact - little actual communication, relationship moves very very fast.

What a delightful Christmas time read. Ms. Pines is a new author who I can’t wait for more from. Cowboy’s Christmas Nanny is a fresh, heartwarming story that had me smiling, laughing and feeling nostalgic throughout. The author gave us a story about a widower trying to raise two children alone while running the family’s horse farm in the quaint small town of Trinity Falls. Like for many of us there just aren’t enough hours in the day for Shane to run the farm and spend quality time with his kids. He needs help. That help comes in the form of his best friend's sister, Natalie, when he hires her to be his kids nanny. From here the storyline takes us on a magical trip of love, family, heartaches, starting over, romance and so much more.

I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s one of those you’ll want to curl up in your comfy spot and read to your heart's content. I know it’s one Christmas Time storyline I’ll be reading for years to come. I can’t wait to see what happens next with our returning soldier.

I fell in love with the cover first then I fell in love with the story, Trinity Fall's has the Hallmark Christmas Channel written all over it, and it would be one that I would watch and read time and time again no matter what time of the year! Clara Pines has given me that little bit of Christmas romance that I so desperately needed.

Handsome widower Shane has one wish this Christmas a happy young daughter and a son he speaks more than a couple of words with, he wasn't expecting his best-friends little sister and his secret crush Natalie to be back in town and could be the one to make his and his children Christmas wish come true.

Cowboy's Christmas Nanny is a wonderful slow-burn heart-warming must-read.

If you like your books on the sweeter side but still want plenty of feels and emotions, this book does not disappoint. Shane and Natalie's romance is a real heart warmer that tugs on your heartstrings mightily. The chemistry between these two is easy to feel and what's more I found these characters very easy to care about. The blend of deep emotion, heart and raw genuineness is a potent and deeply moving combination that I found irresistible. This is my volitional candid review.

It's like reading a Hallmark Movie script. Clara Pines knows how to sweeten your day with family, friends, love and a bit of romance.
Shane has had some struggles in his life but his family is his priority. He needs help running the family ranch so he has to step in for a bit and extra hours. Help is hard to find right now. He doesn't want to give up what little time he has with his kids. As luck would have it, his best friend's little sister is back in town and looking for work. One catch, he has always had a little crush on Natalie and dating the nanny, his best friend's sister would be a big no-no!
Natalie is back in Trinity Falls as her music career didn't pan out the way she would have wanted and her Nana was ill and needed her help. Sadly Nana passed and Natalie needs to find a job to help with expenses. When she runs into her brother's friend Shane, it looks like she may have found an answer. He needs a nanny for two children. This is an amazing opportunity but there could be an issue as Natalie has had a crush on Shane ever since she was little and dating the boss is frowned upon.
This story is so heartwarming. I can hardly wait for book two, the story of Natalie's brother and his return home from military service. Review submitted by C. Seymour - blogger

If you are looking for a read with all the feels and that will put you in the mood for the holiday season look no further than Cowboy’s Christmas Nanny by Clara Pines. This is book one in the Trinity Falls Sweet Romance Series and if single dad Shane Cassidy and Natalie Bell’s story is anything to go by she will certainly have a hit series on her hands. I loved everything about this book, it was a breath of fresh air, it was heart warming and at times it broke my heart.
Shane only wants the best for his son and daughter and he is determined to be there for them but life on a horse farm can be demanding and he needs help and who better to help than his best friends sister Natalie Bell. Problem is Shane finds himself wanting more from the new nanny……
From the moment Natalie starts working at the farm something magical happens and this journey will make you smile but also tug on your heart strings, it’s a story of love, family, romance, trust and so much more. Clara Pines is a new author to me but that’s about to chance because I can’t recommend this book enough and I need more from this very talented author.

Sweet romance that is wonderful anytime of the year. Natalie Bell has returned home to Trinity Falls to take care of her Grandma who unfortunately passed away shortly after her arrival. Heartbroken and her brother Chris doing a tour of duty she feels a bit at loose ends. Her singing career in New York never took off and she does like being home again. She finds herself needing to get a job to paid for taxes on her Grandmother place. Her friend Holly sets her up for an interview at the local coffee shop and that was a disaster, but maybe for the good. Her secret crush, her brother’s best friend Shane offers her a temporary job over the holidays as a nanny to his 2 kids.
Shane couldn’t believe that Chris little sister is in town and all grown up. He always had a soft spot for her, but never would think of crossing that invisible line and ruin his friendship with Chris. But she is waking feelings he thought had died when his wife died.
I read a couple of the later books and started now from the beginning. Love the wholesome small town “Hallmark “ feel of this series. Plus there is a bonus scene! #CowboysChristmasNanny

5 Star review Cowboy's Christmas Nanny (Trinity Falls Sweet Romance #1) by Clara Pines
Oh my heart. Tis the season for Christmas miracles and Cowboy’s Christmas Nanny ticked all the boxes for me. From the first chapter I was drawn into widower and single dad Shane Cassidy and Natalie Bell’s story. This was a well written, heart warming story that tugged at my heart on a number of occasions.
My heart went out to Shane, all he wants is to be the best dad he can to his son and daughter and be for them, no matter what. Unfortunately life on a horse farm is complicated and he realizes he needs help; that’s where Natalie, his best friends sister comes in.
Hiring Natalie to be the children's nanny causes complications he never expected. Can Natalie bring happiness into their home? Both Shane and Natalie have had challenges and as they grow closer could they be ready to take a chance on love together?

This is a lovely, wholesome, low angst story with very likeable characters. Natalie and Shane have always secretly liked each other. They have a chance to pursue their feelings when Natalie returns to the town where she grew up. Shane has two wonderful kids, but he has lost his wife. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship, as well as the friendship and love that grow between Natalie and the children. The book is easy and quick to read. It is my first book by this author, and I would definitely read more.

Christmas in July read. The Christmas tale had all the right elements to uplift my spirit and feel the joys of the season: snow, a cute little girl, holiday events, humor and warm family interactions. The romance was sweet and it had the extra challenge of a girl from Shane's past who still had a best-friend little sister crush on him and a grumpy, stressed widower on a ranch. I could have given this 5 stars but the story was a little too sweet and predictable and everything went too well. Still, it was a nice, cheerful story for a hot July day.

I absolutely adored this book. It's innocently sweet and oh so perfectly emotional. It's the perfect contemporary Christmas story about second chances at love. I loved Shane and Natalie, Wyatt and Rumor (such a cute name for a crazy bundle of energy). I didn't want to put it down and am sad to see them go. I could have kept reading more! It's not often I read a tamed down love story. This one pulled at my heart strings and I'm glad I gave it a chance.

This was an enjoyable, sweet, clean contemporary romance that pulls on your heartstrings. Natalie and Shane have known each other since they were little kids. Shane doesn't hesitate to hire Natalie as his nanny even though he knows it will be difficult to keep his feelings hidden. Natalie is determined to keep her feelings hidden too. Fate has other ideas. I like the fact that Rumor and Wyatt actually played a part in the story and the romance. This is a well-written story and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

My thoughts: It took a bit for me to completely warm up to Shane and some of his behavior was pushing me towards a 4-star round down from 4.5, Natalie/Cricket and Rumor had me from the start and ultimately Shane wasn't holding them back any longer by the last few chapters. I guessed the couple for Book 2 midway and was very excited for a Second Chance romance, until I read the title and blurb and it hit me it's one of my least favorite tropes. So I'll be putting this series on ice until the Christmas reading season in October.

Recommend to others: Yes. This was a heartwarming story full of carefree humor and bonding.

Memorable Quotes: “She knocked the lady down and all the food went on the floor,” Rumor piped up. “The man yelled at her.” The little scamp was paying attention. “Yeah, she bumped into Holly, who happened to be carrying two giant trays,” Shane explained. “Pete yelled at her to get out.” “Oh, Pete,” his mom sighed, shaking her head. “I should probably call him and ask him to hire her,” Shane realized out loud. “He owes me one.” “No, she’s going to be my nanny,” Rumor scolded him. “Is that so?” his mom asked, trying and failing to hide her big smile behind her hand. “I felt bad for her,” he said, which also wasn’t really the whole truth. “She needs a job, and since I can’t find help with the horses, I figured I might as well hire her to help with the kids instead. It would free me up to do more farm tasks myself if Rumor had an everyday sitter. And you’ve got your hands full with Dad.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” his father spluttered. “It means I’ve got to keep a hawk eye on you, mister,” his mom said. “Don’t pretend I didn’t catch you trying to go down to get the mail yourself yesterday.” “You can’t coddle me forever, woman,” his dad grumbled. “Eight days,” she told him. “Eight days, and you didn’t even have your walker.” Shane met Rumor’s eyes and winked. She grinned back at him. Her grandparents loved to argue, but it was just for show. In reality, they loved each other so hard it was almost embarrassing.

📚THE STORY📚

Natalie, aka Nat, aka Cricket, is living in her hometown once again after returning to take care of her ill Nana, who raised her. After Nana dies, Natalie is tasked with clearing out and selling her Nana’s house where she grew up.

Then she runs into her childhood crush and older brother’s best friend, Shane. Now a widower and single dad to a spunky four year old and withdrawn teenage boy, Shane is struggling to keep his family’s ranch afloat and decides to hire Natalie as his nanny.

She’s great with the kids, despite some early city girl/country boy miscommunications. And when an electrical issue at Nana’s house causes Shane to invite her to become a live in nanny, she and Shane start spending plenty of time together.

But Natalie is sensitive to the fact that Shane is still grieving, and Shane worries that his best friend will be angry with him for pursuing his little sister. Will the magic of the holiday season be enough to bring them together?

💕THE ROMANCE💕

Natalie and Shane always had eyes for each other, though Shane ended up with his high school sweetheart Lou, who died when their daughter was small. Shane’s love for her is never downplayed or dismissed, and both he and Natalie take care to respect and honor her presence in his and the kids’ lives.

Natalie and Shane are very honest with themselves and communicative with each other about both their desires and their concerns. There is enough misunderstanding to add a bit of conflict, but it’s resolved with maturity.

Their romance is also heavily centered on Shane’s children and the way Natalie fits well into their family. The domestic bliss of them “playing house” with Natalie as a live in nanny really sets up their relationship well.

🎄CHRISTMAS🎄

This book sparkles with Christmas - cutout snowflake crafts, a snowy horse drawn sleigh ride, carol singing, and a Christmas Day proposal. But my favorite part was all the food.

Natalie cooks for Shane and his family often, with such lavishly described winter feasts that I was actually inspired to cook some chicken pot pie for dinner at my house while reading the book!

✝️FAITH ELEMENTS✝️

Both characters are Christian and pray, though the faith aspect of the story is sprinkled in lightly. Themes of grief and healing are very well handled.

📝MY THOUGHTS📝

I absolutely loved this sweet Christmas romance! The side characters in the small town of Trinity Falls are lovely, from Shane’s extended family to Natalie’s childhood friends and almost-boss.

I especially appreciated the way Shane’s children were part of the story. They behave in realistic ways and are characters with their own depth. Natalie is amazing with them, and there are a few moments with four year old Rumor that make me think she (or, really, her author) read some of the same parenting books as I do. The way she helps draw teenage Wyatt out by connecting genuinely with his interests is also excellent.

This was the first Christmas romance I read this year, and it was a really strong start to the season!

I feel like I just finshed watching a Hallmark movie, sigh!!!! What a wonderful sweet romance with all the feels of loving agian after loss, family, friends and the hoilday season.

Single dad Shane is doing what he can to provide the best life for his children since the loss of their mother. Thankful for his parents and all their help but running the farm sometimes take more time than he wants to give. He tries so hard to make certain he spends time with his kids and the farm isn't resented. When finding labour help for the holiday season doesn't pan out as he expected, he tries another route and convinces his best friends sister to work as his nanny.

Natalie is struggling with the recent loss of her Nana, who raised her and her brother after the loss of her parents. Returning to Trinity Falls for Nana was never a question but it also feels like defeat as she doesn't have a music career to head back to. Deciding on staying and finding work was hard but she needs to work to get Nana's house prepared for the market. With her brother still over seas in the military it fall on her shoulders. They say when one door closes another door opens.

The more time Shane and Natalie spend together the more old crushes from days past start to wake up. Shane has some feelings to sort through about his wife and moving forward and finding love again. Natalie envelopes the children as if they were her own, fighting for them, encouraging them to open up and be true to their hearts. Could their be a new love in the air?

A Hallmark Christmas movie in a novel!

I love Christmas and I love Hallmark movies at Christmas time! My husband sadly is not a fan of Hallmark. So I was happy to stumble upon Cowboys Christmas Nanny by Clara Pines. This novel is a tender, heartwarming romance, perfect for getting you in the Christmas mood. Turn on the fireplace, grab your favorite hot beverage, and with Christmas music softly playing in the background, settle in to enjoy this wonderful love story.

Clara Pines masterfully creates the winter wonderland of Trinity Falls and a cast of loveable townsfolk that you can't help falling in love with. Her hero, Shane and heroine, Natalie are so relatable, you feel every sweet moment of their slow burning romance as if you were part of it.

Just like watching a Hallmark Christmas movie, I laughed, I cried and I sighed through the whole book. And when I got to the final sentence,I sighed at the most touching happily ever after ending I had ever read. Cowboy's Christmas Nanny by Clara Pines is an easy-breezy read. It could easily be read in one setting but you might want to slow down and savor every sentence. Clara Pines words are as savory as the food Natalie bakes in the story!

I can't wait to read book 2 in the series! And, the best gift of all is that Clara Pines Trinity Falls series is available on Kindle Unlimited, so I don't have to wait for next month's book allowance! A Christmas present to myself!

In my quest to find a 'small town romance' series, I stumbled across this. Thought I would give it a go. I actually ended up reading all of them. I really don't understand why I did!!! Don't get me wrong, they are sweet... no false advertising there.

But, I just didn't feel absorbed by the characters. I genuinely didn't get all of the marriage proposals when they had barely held hands... let alone kiss. Whilst it is refreshing for it not be a... um... 'open door' read ( and I cannot emphasise this enough... so clean I could see my face in them!!! )... they just aren't realistic reads for the 21st century... or virtually any century unless you lived in some sort of cult. How many dead spouses were there? How, when the dead spouse was the love of the living ones life, are we supposed to believe that the living spouse would fall head over heels again. I am pretty sure that in one of the books a character mentions that they have been lucky to have had the love of their life, that that love had died and they didn't get married again cos there wouldn't be another one. So... does that mean that the rest of the characters are all shallow??

If you are looking for a clean ( VERY!! ) clean romance series. Score! Have to say, I think that I have read 12 ( ?? ) and every MMC was interchangeable.

I can hardly wait for book two, the story of Natalie's brother and his return home from military service.

this was a sweet holiday love story. I am grabbing the next book in the series!

Amazon synopsis:

Shane is determined to be there every minute for his kids, but when he runs into big trouble with the family horse farm around Christmas time, he realizes they just might need a helping hand.

It turns out, hiring a new nanny might wind him up in a whole new kind of trouble.

Cowboy's Christmas Nanny is book 1 in the Trinity Falls Series by Clara Pines.

This is my first book by this author. It was a sweet, clean romance.

When Natalie Bell returns to her hometown to help care for her grandmother, she doesn't expect her to pass away shortly thereafter. She is then left with a house in need of repair, and with taxes due, she needs a job. When she runs into Shane Cassidy, her lifelong crush and brothers best friend, and he offers her a job as a nanny, she takes it. She then learns that Shane is a widower and is overwhelmed with his parental responsibilities and trying to run his busy farm. She immediately feels like she has found her place with their family. Shane also feels like Natalie was meant to find them. He has always been attracted to her, and living under the same roof makes things seem like they are inevitable.

This is a clean, sweet romance. It probably could have been about 50 pages less if they had simply talked to one another about their feelings, but overall, I enjoyed the story. I will read the next one based on Natalie's brother.

This wasn't a bad book. It was very very sweet albeit a little boring. The kids were the best part of the book.

It was a little confusing. Shane's first wife "could never be replaced", but he always had a thing for Natalie. Say what? Natalie always had a thing for Shane, but he was her brother's best friend, never noticed her, yadda, yadda.

I won't even go into how it sounded at the beginning of the book like Natalie had little self confidence, and by the end she was dealing with contractors, etc and was opening Clare's house.

I kept wondering was Rumor's school situation was ever resolved? Did the teacher follow through? I thought it was interesting that Natalie and Shane's first kiss occurred after his marriage proposal.

The audiobook that I was listening to had the last chapter missing. I don't know if it was only mine, but Natalie and Shane's story ended right after the proposal. Then it played the first 3 chapters of Chris' book which is next. Luckily I had a copy of the book so I had a chance to read the last chapter. Rating 2.75

Natalie came home to take care of her Nana who passed away she was clearing out the house and needed a job.
Shane her brothers best friend, asks her to be his Nanny. She had a crush on him while growing up. It was a rocky start, but she got it together. Rumor loved her right off she helped her unpack her room and took her to school and backed with her. The son Wyatt stayed in his room all the time but Natalie got him to join them and even enjoyed being with the family. But the eye contact between Shane and Natalie was electric. But she heard Shane talking to his ex sisiter in law that he would never replace Lou she died. Natalie was raising money to turn her Nanas house into a gathering place for seniors.
Shane wanted to ask her out and it was snowing so he asked her out the kids waited on them and got the living room ready for a movie where they held hands.
Christmas he asked her to marry him.
