After spending six months in jail for a crime he didn’t commit, Az Casadei is out for revenge against the woman who tried to bring him and his boys down. But as they position themselves as Victoria's bodyguards, they discover a puzzle of an alluring woman who may be far more dangerous than she seems. The attraction between Az and Victoria is undeniable, but their constant mistrust and personal war against each other makes things complicated.

As they work to unravel the mystery of who's trying to hurt her and frame the boys, the attraction between Victoria and the Horsemen grows hotter by the day. Can Victoria trust the Horsemen to protect her from harm, even as she finds herself falling for each one of them? And with danger lurking around every corner, will they be able to keep her safe?

When is the next book coming out?

I went into this book not knowing anything about it but that it was based off of the hxrsmen and I had to read it! I loved that it wasn’t so easy to figure out who was behind what or predict what was going to happen. Sometimes that in books can be too much. But this, this book had me on my toes the entire time. I also was gut wrenched at some points hoping for the best. The fact that it leaves off on a cliff hanger kills me because now I need the next one asap! 5/5 for me on all levels!

Victoria Bristol is a young philanthropic socialite. She's attempting to move forward with her life after her mother passed away. She wants to continue to work with her local youth center and the other charities that she's been working with. Victoria narrowly escapes a kidnapping when there is a fire at a charity gala she's attending. The only clue that she's left with is that her assailant has a moth tattoo on his hand.

Az Casadei spent the last six months in jail for a crime that he never committed, and now he's out for revenge. And he's going to get back at the woman who attempted to bring down the woman who not only brought him down but brought his boys down.

After their release they position themselves as Victoria's bodyguards, and as they play at protecting her they learn that a puzzle surrounds Victoria making this bemusing woman they surround making them realize that this woman may actually be far more dangerous than she actually seemed. Slowly, Victoria and Az realize that there is a growing attraction between them, and it is undeniable. They don't trust each other, and they have their own personal war, and that just complicates everything so much more.

Together they slowly work to unravel secret of who is hunting her and who is out to hurt her and wants to frame the boys, and as the days go by, the chemistry and attraction between Victoria and the Horsemen grow stronger, steamier, and even spicier, day by day.

Can Victoria and the Horsemen learn to trust each other? Can Victoria learn to let the Horsemen protect her from harm, even as she's falling for each and every one of them? Will the Horsemen be able to keep her safe?

'A is For Arson' is book 1 of the new Horsemen Series by Zoe Dunn. And boy, does this book give us the kick, thrills, and seduction start to the series that hooks you in.

This book introduces us to Victoria Bristol. She's a compassionate, determined socialite who has a hidden strength that hides her polished exterior. But, her entire life turns upside down when she becomes the target of a sinister plot. This plot forces her to face her vulnerabilities while she navigates a world of deception and danger.

Here is where we meet Az Casadei. He's a brooding, enigmatic figure who has a chip on his shoulder and just wants to get his revenge. Az and Victoria's roads come face to face in a game of trust and betrayal where nothing is as it seems and all alliances come with one price or another.

Zoe has crafted characters who are complicated, flawed, and compelling. Victoria, for instance, is not a damsel in distress. She can save herself. She's resourceful, resilient, and has her own secrets that make her layered and bring her more intrigue. Then there is Az. He's a blend of the most dangerous of men and yet has this tender vulnerability. He's driven by a past full of injustice and is torn by his desire for Victoria and his want for revenge. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Victoria and Az and it's just so electric and it simmers with so much tension and passion, and it's constantly challenged by Victoria and Az's mistrust of each other and their conflicting agendas.

A Is For Arson is such a fast-paced book that is just packed with twists and turns that will keep you guessing to what is going to happen next. Zoe has woven such a beautiful web of intrigue that blends action with tender moments of such beautiful emotion depth and spicy romance.

And the way that Zoe included that Horsemen, this group of mysterious and very dangerous men. This addition adds additional layers of complex allure and sets the stage for a beautiful reverse harem dynamic. It has promise to add fire to the entire series as it progressees and while the story does lean on some familiar tropes, Zoe's writing and perfectly written characters elevate it, makes it all stand out in this genre.

At the heart of 'A is For Arson' this is a story about trust, redemption, and the power of connection in the face of great danger.

'A Is For Arson' is a book that will appeal to readers who enjoy spicy romance, suspense, heart-pounding action, and a great emotional depth.

Zoe has written such a captivating and engaging start to the 'Horsemen Series' that is going to leave all the readers of this book drooling and driven to get their hands on the next book and to see what is going to happen next.

And man, oh man, that cliffhanger, that cliffhanger is going to leave you wanting the next book yesterday, not wanting to wait to find out what happens next.

*A is For Arson* by Zoe Dunn is a thrilling and seductive start to the *Horsemen Series* that masterfully blends romance, suspense, and mystery. The story introduces readers to Victoria Bristol, a compassionate and determined socialite with a hidden strength that belies her polished exterior. Her life takes a dangerous turn when she becomes the target of a sinister plot, forcing her to confront her vulnerabilities while navigating a world of deception and danger. Enter Az Casadei, a brooding and enigmatic figure with a chip on his shoulder and a thirst for revenge. Their paths collide in a high-stakes game of trust and betrayal, where nothing is as it seems, and every alliance comes with a price.

Dunn excels at crafting complex characters who are equal parts flawed and compelling. Victoria is not your typical damsel in distress; she’s resourceful, resilient, and layered with secrets that make her far more intriguing than she initially appears. Az, on the other hand, is the perfect blend of danger and vulnerability, a man driven by past injustices but increasingly torn between his desire for retribution and his growing feelings for Victoria. The chemistry between them is electric, simmering with tension and passion, yet constantly challenged by their mutual mistrust and conflicting agendas.

The plot is fast-paced and packed with twists that keep readers guessing. Dunn weaves a web of intrigue, blending action-packed sequences with moments of emotional depth and steamy romance. The inclusion of the Horsemen, a group of mysterious and dangerous men, adds an extra layer of complexity and allure, setting the stage for a reverse harem dynamic that promises to heat up as the series progresses. While the story occasionally leans on familiar tropes, Dunn’s sharp writing and well-drawn characters elevate it, making it a standout in the genre.

At its heart, *A is For Arson* is a story about trust, redemption, and the power of connection in the face of danger. It’s a book that will appeal to fans of steamy romance with a side of suspense, offering a perfect balance of heart-pounding action and emotional depth. Zoe Dunn has crafted a captivating introduction to the *Horsemen Series*, leaving readers eager to see where the story goes next.

Oh, and sweet Joey going completely feral in the woods with Victoria will live rent-free in my mind for a while. 🔥🌶🌶🌶

The premise of the story is intriguing. The man with the moth tattoo that Victoria sent to prison for her attempted kidnapping ends up as her body guard when he is released from prison. Az and his team take on full protection duty so they can dig deeper and find out why Victoria wrongly accused him. Only the answers they find don't point toward Victoria as the culprit but the victim.

I gotta say, the cackle I let loose when I read the scene when Victoria finds the big scary gangsters playing D&D was so unlady like. 🤣

Some grammatical errors here and there, but nothing overly obnoxious.

First book ends with a cliffhanger, and I need more answers. Especially with Victoria's abusive douche of an ex. Really hope the guys give him what's coming to him.

If you haven’t jumped into the Hxrsemxn Series yet, then you are missing out! This is book two of the series and I highly suggest reading book 1, 𝑨 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 because it ends on a cliffy! This one will pick up right where the first leaves off!

This dark mafia romance has ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. The absolute best and worst of heartbreak, drama, why choose, tragic pasts, twists and turns, things that go boom, stabby stabs, tears, and screaming…of all kinds. OH, and popcorn. Lots of popcorn. 🍿

All I can say is buckle up, get your tissues ready, and trust nothing, expect the unexpected, and know that when you are in pain it’s ZOE AND C.M.’s FAULT! 😭

Seriously, I was to the point of so not okay that I ran late, my towel rack broke and bruised my toe, lost my coffee (that @author_cmbowen found from another state), broke my favorite pen, and cried while trying to be professional…
So yeah, I highly recommend this book and series. 🫶

Victoria and the Horsemen are intriguing and the premise is interesting. I enjoyed their story except for some of the details were a little confusing at times. That said, I loved the encounters between her and these 5 men. Az, Rich, Joey, Craig, and Leighton. They are supposed to protect her and find out who is behind her attacks, but even with their expertise and surveillance it’s slow going in discovering the truth. I’m invested in how their lives are intertwined and how their relationship is changing. The attraction between Victoria and each of them is intense and the kinks so far are steamy! I’m ready for the next book and more suspense!!I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"A is for Arson" is an absolute page-turner that left me on the edge of my seat throughout. The story brims with tension and undeniable chemistry. As the plot unfolded, I found myself hooked on the suspense, eagerly seeking answers to the mysteries surrounding Victoria's safety. Rich quickly became my favorite character, and I couldn't get enough of his captivating presence. With each twist, the book kept me thirsty for more, unable to put it down.

I'm thrilled about what's next in the series, but I'm also worried about what the author has in store for Rich. If ya'll did what I think you did, I hope your coffee is the opposite temperature it's supposed to be from now on!

The first 50% into the book I wasn't sure I was gonna like it because I thought the fmc were acting too much like a brat, Az was annoying me & honestly I found a few lines a bit cringe. But then I was actually surprised because it suddenly became so much better, the FMC standing up for herself, az apologizing & more action. I had a small issue with the type snitt though because for me when I downloaded the arc read the text kept starting in the middle, not at the left like it's supposed to be & for me it made it harder to read the book, but it's just a small thing tbh. Since the book managed to keep my interest I'll definitely read the next book!

A first time author for me and one I will be picking up again. This has it all…

A strong FMC who has mental battle scars to show for it… she is not going to let herself get pushed around

5 decidedly smoking hot men who think they have the last word

A BF that is either one for the records or she is playing a game of her own .. but I really hope she is not the mole

And then others .. who think she is theirs or they own her.

Take a walk in gang wars .. attacks at all angles and a family learning to share.

I read the title and thought I knew where this story would go. I was so wrong, and I'll happily admit that! Victoria, aka the Princess, was living her life until her charity gala was interrupted by arson. Rich, Craig, Joey, Leighton, and Az are the Horsemen and they want to know why the Princess is hell-bent on hating them. I went from loving and hating everyone but Victoria. As the story continues we learn who we should actually hate and it's a twist like no other.

Great book. I would say in my opinion a slow burn and by the end I couldn’t read fast enough. Loving each horseman, they all have great characteristics. Which makes you root for them individually. Love Victoria but wish for more about her and more character build on her. But overall would definitely recommend this book/series.

If you LOVE found family, strong OTT MMC’s and them finding the missing piece to their chaos then you have to read this book! The FMC is just as strong and OTT as the men but also has that softness that brings them to their knees. The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat and constantly guessing… and the spice will have you clutching your invisible pearls!

Literally went into this blind. I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. But I’m hooked. The horsemen are the leaders of the their gang. Az has been set up, and Victoria was the one to say he tried to kidnap her. Now the horsemen are protecting Victoria, trying to get to the bottom of who would be setting them up.

This book had me hooked from the very start. Victoria and her Horsemen were just incredible. The mystery and the action, all of it was just fantastic, making this fast-paced book a good read. Although I do think the pacing could have been better. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading this book and would like to read more from the author.

Saw this recommended by a few people, downloaded, DO NOT REGRET IT. My only trouble is knowing my impatient self has to wait for book 2. Not the type of book I usually gravitate too (honestly this is my first time) but so glad I decided to give it a chance.

ღ BOOK REVIEW ღ

𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔~

I liked the plot of the story and the Horsemen (Az, Rich, Leighton, Craig and Joey). I felt like I needed a little more from the beginning it was a little confusing but after reading a bit I got more into the story. I loved the personality of the guys and the nerdiness that was added in made it unique. Victoria was just a little to dramatic for me and she would swing to far right or left with not a lot in the middle. It was over all a good read and I will continue with the next book after that cliffhanger. I enjoyed have the guys points of view as well as hers.

Four mafia bodyguards, one curvy fmc, and a stalker who claims he was gifted Victoria. I devoured this book, I loved all of the horsemen, but my favorite was the Az-hole. If you've read it, you'll understand the last 100 pages had me glued to my Kindle. I'm so impatient to see what happens with our leader. The cliffhanger was amazing!!!

Horsemen

This first book in this contemporary RH has an interesting background. Victoria is a socialite that was a victim of an attempted kidnapping. And later her father hires the Horsemen to guard her. The problem is...one of them is the man she had accused of kidnapping her. They are going to prove he didn't do and help find who is after her.

I liked a lot of the storyline and the dynamic between Victoria and the Horsemen. The trust issue between them definitely complicated things as they worked to find the threat.

At moments I was a little confused by Victoria's behavior. She should've been very upset about being guarded by a man that she thinks tried to kidnap her, but she went along too easily. She should've questioned her father's decision. And she didn't seem very concerned about her safety. Someone is threatening her and she keeps taking off. She had some unfortunate brat moments, but I was invested in finding out what was going on and I want to know who is behind all of this...because it wasn't just the one they learned about.

This is my first read these authors and it definitely won't be my last. Victoria and her Horsemen have completely taken over my thoughts. This story is INTENSE and full of danger, chaos, suspense and intrigue. Someone is out to get the Society Princess and it's the Horsemens job to protect her. But things take a heated turn when feelings get involved. A Is For Arson is a fantastic story! It ends on a cliffhanger so it's going to be interesting to see how things unfold in L Is For Larceny. I can't wait!

i felt like there were shining moments in this book - the writing was fast-paced once you got into it, the storyline was interesting, and i liked the dynamic between victoria and the horsemen.

some of the character actions just didn’t make sense to me and were just frustrating, mostly with victoria. i feel like she went a long too easily with some things and was too stubborn with others; honestly her actions felt like they should be the opposite of what they were.

i liked the premise overall and the multiple povs were fun.

What started out as a really slow read, turned out to be anything but. This dark bodyguard, reverse harem, romance with a mystery subplot is so delicious I couldn’t stop reading once it picked up its pace. At first I was under the impression she ended up with Az and I was thinking, girl, why you sleeping with all his buddies then? Once the light bulb finally clicked on then I understood the torturous temptation of Az, Joey, Leighton, Rich, and Craig. These boys are completely smitten by the high society Victoria because she is so down to earth and sees herself as an equal to these once impoverished men. Her humanity and loyalty make her an extremely likable character. One you root for and want to see succeed. But someone doesn’t want that success for her and it really hacks me off. They will stop at nothing to get what they want. A is for Arson is a battle of wills between Victoria and her bodyguards and the want to be captors. Only one side will win, but it just might be her heart that gets claimed.

Check the content warnings on this book as there is violence, death, murder, grief, flashbacks to misogyny and fat shaming, as well as explicit sexual content.
