Highly Recommended Series

Most weak to strong progressions series tend to rush through phases of development very quickly. This series allows your understanding of the universe to advance with the protagonist without drowning you. I find the entire series to be outstanding.

Excellent, but a bit slow.

This was an excellent book, but it really dragged in some areas and it got a little overly preachy. I really look forward to where this is going.

Wonderful lore building and evolving setting.

I’ve read many similar stories and what keeps me interested in these is the depth and insight of the author.

The power creep is well managed, the system is balanced well with bottlenecks and setting specific knowledge gaps that forces characters to grow in more ways than just experience grinding.

Also, the depth of the setting is interesting and well thought out. It is clearly the result of long and thoughtful work by the author.

(To you the author)

Hopefully since this is far into your series it won’t drive off potential readers and hurt sales. if they have read this far… it is not something they don’t already know. Your use of the word “Instantly” and the similar like words is painful and cringey. More than half of the sentences that you use these words would be improved and still clear by just dropping it.

I’m sure you will smugly ignore me, I’ve worked with authors like you, and I will still buy your next book. The next time you write “instantly” imagine this scene because it will be true.

-She read the word “instantly” on the page and unable to control her rage thrust her fist into the air and screamed. “The Cringe!”

End of an Aeon

I can’t read this series anymore, it’s like pulling teeth. Story goes from boring to incoherent. The writing is lazy and bland. Some fights read like an IKEA instruction manual. Every third sentence has a random word that seems pulled from a thesaurus that doesn’t actually fit the grammar or tense of the situation correctly and makes reading this…thing…extremely frustrating. Author needs to go back to school and/or actually pay money for a decent editor because this is just garbage.

first half sloppy

For some reason it felt like the first half of the book really went way out there with the storytelling but thankfully it manage to resume its original storytelling.

There were interesting plots like the danger of the demon-comet and void explorations, but I found myself bored for a large portion of the book. It didn't help that there were a few conflicts amongst the secondary characters, which took the focus away from the good stuff.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have the other books in the series. I still like the MC but the story overall seems a bit diluted with all the extra worlds and characters. If the extra worlds didn't add so many new characters to the mix and kept the core group of characters with some vague characters I think it would be better for me. I am having a hard time remembering who is who at different points in the story. I do still enjoy the story overall and plan to continue reading it until the end but I just miss some of the OG characters and some of the smaller issues faced in the beginning.
