Solani Liberty finds herself in the realization of spending New Year’s Eve alone after a recent divorce.
When she decides to attend a New Year's Eve party in Coconut Bay, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Ryder Johnson, a familiar face who has secretly cared for her all along.
Sedona Rose is a 30-something black indie romance hailing from South Carolina. She writes about black love with real feelings! Her goal is to make sure you feel the love through the pages. You can catch her watching the Carolina Panthers, anime, or reading when she's not writing.
Solani is saying goodbye to her ex husband and potentially saying hello to a new beau for the new year. But first she has to heal her heart, mind and soul. I enjoyed the start to Solani and Ryder relationship and I can’t wait to dive deeper with the next book.
A NYE party. A shitty encounter with her ex husband and his new hoe. An unexpected encounter with a friend who saves you from slapping said hoe. A night spent being seen and valued. Laughter. A NY Kiss. A night cap. A note. Ryder deciding Solani was going to be his wife and he was about to apply all the pressure.
This was such a short quick read and I loved how Ryder stood on business behind Solani. Going to see if there’s a follow up story because I just know that man is gonna be pressure behind her.
This was a NTMA and I enjoyed this quick short from her. Thanks Sedona!
Cute short. Giving us just enough but leaving us wanting more. Solani is still reeling from her recent divorce and goes on a New Year's Eve trip with her two best friends to start the new year off right. As the party begins, who does she run into? That's right her bum ass ex-husband and his new plaything spouting off at the mouth! Just as she is ready to show her ass, she is saved by her college friend Ryder.
Ryder has had a thing for Solani from the moment that he met her. Now that she is free, he is ready to shoot his shot and play for keeps. They have a great night together, but Solani has cold feet and runs. No worries, Ryder is not playing with his future wife. Excited to see where the couple takes us.
I enjoyed this short story and of course it left me wanting more lol. I knew what I was getting into from the author’s warning but still lol. I can’t wait to read more about these characters in the next book.
Solani is determined to welcome the New Year the right way—no more tears, no more moping, and no more painful reminders of her divorce. A fresh start calls for a getaway with her friends… or so she thinks.
What she doesn’t know is that her New Year is about to get even better when someone from her past unexpectedly reappears. Happy New Year!
This was a perfect short read to ring in the New Year. And Ryder—whew, how was it? I love a man who knows exactly what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, while still knowing how to handle the situation with care. Ms. Rose, though, I need to know what happens next with this couple. Best believe I’ll be on the lookout for more come spring!
I'm starting the year off right with this short and satisfying read. I loved the brief introduction to all of the characters, especially Solani and Ryder. I can't wait to see what's to come with their situation, sir seems like he's about to apply major pressure, with no plans of letting up and I love that for her. I'll most definitely be keeping my out eye of for the next release.
I enjoyed this short. It was the perfect lead in for their story. I have the feeling that Ryder is about to applying major pressure and Solani won’t be able to resist. I can’t wait for the full story.
Nice, cute AF and short! I want more because I already know Ryder about to apply all the pressure and ex husband Jeremy and his new little Ms Thang go be a problem. Can’t wait for the follow up!
Author Sedona gives you a WARNING cliffhanger ahead, BUT I had to keep reading. Now I guess I'll have to wait until spring... Looking forward to Ryder and Woman's story.
A very good tease! Waiting for their story to continue... As fast as the days are going, hopefully Sadona will have this book out late March at the latest 😀
