Rate this book
ESPN personality and New York Times bestselling author Mike Greenberg (Got Your Number, Got Your Answers) and mega-producer Hembo rank the franchises of the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL from best to worst and reveal who is on the Mount Rushmore of legends for each.

In the four biggest American sports leagues, 124 franchises vie for the crown of greatest of all. Only one can sit atop the throne. Now for the first time ever, Got Your Legends ranks all of the franchises and explains which teams are legendary, or unique, or exciting, or tragic . . . or laughable.
Then—no matter how good, or bad, or lucky, or jinxed a franchise may be—Greeny and Hembo celebrate the four greatest figures in the history of each team, with easily digestible essays on the top sixty franchises that will surprise and entertain fans new and old.

So whether you want to commemorate your favorite high-octane teams (hello, Yankees, Canadiens, and Steelers fans), cry-laugh about the misfortunes of your hometown clubs (looking at you, Jaguars, Hornets, and Blue Jackets faithful), or just bank some stats for trivia night, Got Your Legends is the ultimate guide to America’s sports landscape.

Love or hate where your teams land, either way you’ll be drawn into the conversation. Join two of the most passionate sports fanatics of all time and partake in the greatest American arguing about—and reveling in—everything sports.

This is a fun book for sports fans, raking every sports franchise in the big 4 (Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Hockey) by tier while also selecting the Mt. Rushmore of each franchise.

Covering 124 franchises, 5 tiers are created, The Fabled Four, The Electric Eight, The Superb Sixteen, The Thrilling Thirty-Two, and The Field of Sixty-Four. Only the first 60 franchises have a short essay, giving a very brief history of the franchise and the 4 players on the Mt. Rushmore. The remaining 64 franchises have their Mt. Rushmore listed for review with no essay.

I didn't seem much to argue with, and Greeny mentions when selection of Mt. Rushmore was difficult, but overall, the essays are not detailed and argumentative.

The Fabled Four franchises:
1) Yankees
2) Celtics
3) Canadiens
4) Packers

My favorites teams sit at
Spurs: 14
Braves: 34
Colts: 41

Sorry I don't have a favorite hockey team.

This may be the single worst sports book ever written. It’s screams laziness with zero effort and thought. The concept was great which is why I wanted to read it. But this was obviously just a book he was contractually obligated to write and could have cared less about the results. There is zero logic to the rankings after the top 4 teams They completely took the lazy way out by ranking the top 4 players on all teams, but only having detail on 60 of them, and I use detail generously. This book could have been awesome with any effort. Sadly no effort was given.

If you have some time to kill like if you have caught the flu and you can't leave the house or something, then this book is quite good to fill the time. Book doesn't add anything or really create any discussions.

I always enjoy the sports books written by Mike Greenberg and this one did not disappoint. I would have been interested to hear the reasoning why some of the players on lower ranked teams were chosen.

I am a huge sports fan and enjoyed the concept of this book. However, very disappointed that 64 teams, including three franchises I support, did not receive a write up for their legends. Only the top 60 were given a write up. Feels like they hit a deadline and walked away.

I love quick, easy sports books that pack a lot of into into a short number of pages! I know it makes sense to have only done so many of the big four sports franchises, but I do wish I had commentary and Mt Rushmore selections for all of them
