For the inquirer, it’s a good place to start. It’s not a deep dive but I don’t think this book intended to be. A lot of it is “consult your local parish” stuff as well with many sections being reduced to “in Antiochian it’s different, in Russian it’s different, in Greek it’s different.” Only thing I really wanted more of was scriptural or historical reasons why these traditions were implemented or upheld. Some very brief nods to ecumenical councils and sayings of the saints, but nothing too deep. All that to say, I still learned a bunch and was exposed to a lot, so I would think this book is more than worth it as the baby steps in building a foundational knowledge of Orthodoxy.
