Romantic read
A well written story, with great characters, steamy chemistry, romance, family drama, a stalker, intrigue, a lovely young boy, and a lovely HEA. A great story to read and one I couldn't put down, would strongly recommend.
Sloan has come home for her sister's wedding, and is also taking a break after her sellout first art collection while she works out what she's going to do next. She's nervous when she sees her older brother's best friend again though, having had a crush on him since she was eight, but after a steamy moment together on a night out she's beginning to wonder what his feelings for her are.
Cade has a reputation for being a playboy but has to be careful who he lets into his life as his number one person will always be his son. He's invested in the small town, being a silent partner for most of the businesses since moving back but when he sees Sloan again he's torn between being annoyed that she hadn't visited for so long, and wanting to do things he really shouldn't be considering.
But when he notices she has a stalker his protective instincts kick in and he'll do anything to ensure she stays safe. Though he'll do everything to protect her, he's not sure if he can protect his heart, or how she'll react when she finds out about his son.

Just Marvelous!!! It was a steamy page turned and the suspense was intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Sloane can home for her sister wedding day as she ran into Cade the guy she had a crush for so many years. Sloane and Cade the chemistry between was captivating and romance and they couldn’t fight the temptation any longer after the wedding. Sexual tension was on the arisen. One night with him will change everything in her life as she knows it and more. Romance was in the air between them in this moment was love the key of romance.

Sloane is an artist who is starting to be known; however, she still lacks confidence in herself.
Cade is a self-made billionaire dedicated to his business and her son Liam.
They don’t communicate well, especially Cade. He has too many secrets.
I liked that Mike didn’t make a scene when he learnt about Cade and her sister. He trusted him to keep her safe, although it would take him some time to get used to them together as a couple. I liked the end and loved it when Liam called “mom” to Sloane.
I would have liked more interactions between Sloane and Liam.

Cade has built up emotional walls over the years, not letting anyone in, but the moment Sloane returns, he is conflicted with multiple feelings. Add a stalker and family issues, and this well-balanced story will keep you interested. It was an enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages.

An age gap brothers best friend childhood crush story that was filled with humour, secrets, suspense and a nice level of spice. Sloane is the small town girl that did good away from home and Cade is a billionaire businessman who is now a dad. She returns home for her sisters wedding after ten years away and soon reconnects with her crush but alas it’s not a smooth journey into a hea as she there’s someone out there that’s determined to spoil it for our MCs. Enjoyable story and nice to be back in Rose Valley.

This is an enjoyable steamy page turner. I was hooked from the start and the drama and suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Cade and Sloane have great chemistry between them. I couldn't wait to see how things would play out. It's a really good book and I'd definitely recommend reading it. Looking forward to reading more from Denise River.

Sloane and Cade are going to heat up your night while reading this romance book that’s GREAT. I LOVE the storyline as well as how the characters come together perfectly like a puzzle. So, trust me when I say that you need Denise’s book in your kindle because everything screams HOT.

Meh
The writing was mediocre and I had a really hard time staying interested. The plot was a lot with both of them having secrets/baggage plus a stalker...I just felt like it was okay. Bedroom scenes were really spicy but outside of that it was meh.

I enjoyed reckless single daddy which was Cade and Sloane’s story. It was an intriguing read full of twists and turns. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving this review.
