Dark, gritty, and packed with pulse-pounding suspense, Pulse is a gripping tale of loyalty, redemption, and the powerful bonds forged in the face of danger. Will Pulse’s past shatter his chance at a future, or can he and Talia fight for justice—and each other?
The 'Zon notified me late...AGAIN that Lily Atlas had another new book out, so I'm a little late to the party...again. Unfortunately, life is too chaotic to keep track of everything. Wait. Am I even following her as an author? That seems like a huge oversight since she's one of my favorite romance authors. I'll check after this review. Anyhow, this book was awesome. It's always a pleasure to read her work. I'm never disappointed. Even the books I'm not crazy about are still well-written and thoughtful. This book was no different.
In this book, we follow Pulse, the club's "medic." He's a nurse, but in a previous life, he was actually a DEA agent who went deep undercover and took out a drug cartel. Stuff went down, and he bailed, never going back to that life again. He also never told the Handlers that he was former LEO. Not good if they ever found out, right? Then we have Talia. She's the club's new lawyer, and she's amazing. A little bit of fire and a little bit of vulnerable--just the way I like my gals. She's the daughter of Curly's former defense attorney (the one who was helping to put him away). She's there to help the club and right the wrong her father did.
As you can see, we have two problems, and when Pulse and Talia start spending time together, it becomes one big snowball of a problem, especially when the DEA starts knocking and causes problems for Pulse. The story is fantastic. Pacing is perfect. Characters are great. There's humor. There's sexy times. There's emotion. There's action scenes. Honestly, I don't know what more you could want for this book. If you haven't read it yet, why haven't you? It's on KU. Read it.
I’ve been waiting for this book since finding out Lilly Atlas was writing this! What a pleasant surprise for her readers to her releasing the book before we thought we were going to get it!
I always love reading her books and getting more of the Hell’s Handlers MC. This book is a continuation of her Florida chapter of this MC.
Pulse has a complicated past before joining the Hell’s Handlers MC- one we find out about after reading the first chapter of this book.
Pulse is now an ER and trauma nurse, living for the fast pace and excitement of that.
He’s longed to find a brotherhood after leaving the last one he was part of. In that time he found the MC and what he thought was his place. This is all put at risk after he’s accused of a brutal assault.
In walks in sassy attorney Talia who gives Pulse a run for his money. It’s instant attraction on both parts but they fight it.
The both of them have secrets with Pulse’s being more dangerous. His past threatens to destroy everything he’s worked hard for.
Reading this I was hooked from the first chapter and devoured it as fast as I was able to. Like all her books I found it hard to put down!
I’m super excited to see what comes next for Lilly’s Hell’s Handlers!
I love Pulse and Talia, she is a bad ass attorney who takes no crap from the dirty cops who arrest Pulse. Talia tries so hard to be the opposite of what her father was, she fights for those being railroaded. Pulse is a ex DEA agent who wants to live his life with his brothers and save lives as a. ER trauma nurse. When he is the target if revenge from the DEA and police, he is happy that the feisty attorney is in his side. He also can't help the feelings he has for her . The chemistry is hot and these two go through my through so e serious stuff with the cops, the corrupt agent who is from the cartel and his MC brothers. With all of this you see the Brotherhood and sisterhood show you loyalty. The lo e this couple finds is put to the test and they come out stronger.
Wow!! Some people carry secrets with them and then some carry SECRETS!!!! Pulse was carrying a colossal secret that if it ever got out to his club brothers, he would end up dead and by their hands. When Pulse was arrested on bogus charges of beating a woman, he never expected the club's attorney to take his side and get the charges dropped. Talia was one cutthroat lawyer. He was glad that she waa on his side. He couldn't feel anything for her. She was one beautiful woman that needed to stay as far.away from him as possible, unfortunately they were both drawn to each other.
Pulse, the club medic who works in the trauma room, is arrested for something he didn’t do. Talia the new, gorgeous club lawyer is quick to step up to handle the situation.
What a gripping, fast paced story, malicious enemies, action, tension, deeply hidden secrets and friction between club brothers. I was hooked from the prologue and couldn’t put it down.
What a fantastic finale to the Hells Handlers MC, Florida series
I loved Paper and Talia's story. After everything they have been through before they met the both deserved to get a happily ever after and although it was bumpy ride to get there I couldn't be happier they found each other. I loved their banter. They was Talks stood up to his brothers was amazing. I'm so happy they worked through things with Spec and his apology was great. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I couldn’t wait to read Pulse’s story and what a great read. Pulse was a loner & kept secrets from the Hell Handlers. He works as a ER nurse and stitched up his brothers & their ol’ ladies. When at the clubhouse the police come to arrest him for beating up a street walker. Talia is the Handler’s new attorney and she doesn’t take shit from anyone. See what happens when these two meet each other.
MC angst… mixed with some spice appropriately time. Surprises get revealed and revenge gets knocked down when all heck breaks loose. I always love a storyline in a series that keeps the same cast of characters that I need updates on. The ending brings everything together beautifully with a couple finding the love they were meant to have. Happy Reading Everyone.
I do like this author and loved this book. Real interesting twist with pulse and totally loved his badass lawyer, Talia, who took no prisoners. Retribution was swift but I’d also have liked kickback against the police. However that said good read and loved the catchup with the other couples.
Pulse and Talia are forced together to deal with some of the past rearing its ugly head. But this sets them on the road to a fantastic HEA. We’ve got a TON of mystery, intrigue, past secrets, spicy good stuff, MC drama and watching this MC family come together for each other. I LOVED their story and found myself rooting for them to make it.
Everyone in this story were people worthy of their great relationships. They made the friends family, in every sense of the word. They stood in solidarity and displayed unquestionable loyalty. I think you'll love this book as much as I did because the feeling of together made this entire storyline. Lets not forget it was Hot!!
What happens when a biker and a lawyer get together?
Definitely sparks fly when these two get together. She had a father that brought her up to be independent and gave her little to no love. He is a biker with a huge secret that he's kept from his MC family. Absolutely loved this book! You won't be disappointed reading it!!
What a great story! I don't want to spoil any future readers... so bear with me. Pulse's history was expected, as was Talia's! But what a way to blend and heal! I'm hoping this won't be the end to the Hell's Handlers... maybe a new chapter or unexpected surprises?
Oh I hope this isn't the end of this series, but I know it is. Maybe Judy will get a book. I know, wishful thinking.
Pulse is probably the most normal member of the Club. Talks is a perfect fit for the old' Ladies. What more could one ask? What about mixing a little Del Rio Club adhere into the peaceful Florida.nights?
Lilly always keeps me wanting more. This book was amazing as always. Such a talented writer. I can't help wanting more and for it to never end. The only author that I will put life on hold for just to finish it. But not wanting it to ever end.
Love Hells Handlers both old and new series. Pulse was a gripping storyline with everything we’ve come to love about this authors story telling, these MC brothers have certainly met their matches with their ol’ladies, loved watching them all fall
Absolutely LOVE all of LILLY ATLAS’s books (goodreads put this under the wrong author). Always a 5 star read. Pulse and Talia were such a powerful couple, I love them and this book so much. Plus the found family in all these book fills my heart every time.
I loved the characters yet again in this book. Atlas never fails at giving us readers an amazing book & reading Pulse's history & the show of forgiveness & understanding is so satisfying!
Two lonely people with hidden pasts are attracted to each other and face a common enemy. The danger to their lives brings them closer. As they come to know each other, they fall in love. A wonderful happily ending
This installment in the ongoing series was a favorite of ours. We were captivated by Pulse and Talia's story. Pulse harbors a significant secret he has kept hidden from the club, a secret he intended to carry to his grave. However, his past has caught up with him, and the time has come to face the consequences.
The action in this book was relentless from start to finish. The plot is rife with mystery, suspense, love, romance, enduring friendships, and resurfacing enemies from the past. A surprising twist involving Curly added an unexpected element to the story. Despite appearing vastly different to others, Talia and Pulse were a perfect match.
Talia, a fierce legal shark, possesses a compassionate heart and always stands up for those in need. The chemistry between Talia and Pulse sizzled, and their connection exuded soulmate vibes. Pulse's protective and possessive nature towards Talia was endearing, as he took the time to uncover her true self, generous, kind, and loving.
This compelling story, filled with vibrant characters, held us spellbound and left us eager to revisit its pages time and again. The ending was flawless, leaving us with a heartwarming feeling and a desire to experience the story's warmth and charm once more.
