***WARNING*** This is a racy companion novel to the Famous Series. You should read Relatively Famous before reading this book. If you don't like swearing, hot sex, or gorgeous men who release frustrations with their fists, don't read this book.
Drew Forrester is a regular guy from Boston, MA with an unusual job. His work keeps him from getting close to anyone, unwilling to give his trust, especially after a terrible betrayal when he left home at nineteen to pursue his dream.
He throws himself into his work and his favorite way of releasing his frustrations, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. He resorts to short term hook-ups, figuring he'll be alone forever.
When a gorgeous redhead literally falls into his life, he decides that it's fate and pursues her relentlessly. But this girl is seriously damaged, and keeps secrets that he doesn't understand and can't get her to reveal. Her lack of trust and seeming paranoia about letting anyone get close to her leads Drew to keep some secrets of his own.
This is a companion novel to Relatively Famous, told from Drew's point of view.
Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the 'dark' side of fame. The part that the public doesn't get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.
Heather was born and raised in New England and after spending 15 years in Atlanta, GA, currently lives north of Houston, TX with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.
Heather loves the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything chocolate (but not white chocolate, everyone knows it's not real chocolate so it doesn't count) and has left explicit instructions in her will to have her ashes snuck into Fenway Park and sneakily sprinkled all over while her family enjoys beer, hot dogs, and a wicked good time.
My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.
I am someone who loves to be in the fella's head... know what he is thinking... what really is going on in there...It seems I am not alone as there has been many series which taken the romance between the main characters and come back with it all from the guy's POV. Some books are more successful than others... and you never know until you are knee deep in the reading.
Heather Leigh's Famous series was based on these two characters, Drew and Sydney. They were a unique pair with back stories which caused them to be very secretive with each other. They somehow met, became involved and their romance was a complex, current for the times story. In order to fully feel the dynamic of these two, their trials and hurdles, it is advised to read Relativity Famous first.
This telling of their romance from Drew's perspective was endearing. Drew was Alpha with a Capital A; yet he was not so bad where he was animalistic the entire time... he just had real bouts of it periodically. He had so much he was juggling with his fame and all that entails, the reader was able to see how harmful and draining it could be. We also were able to feel for his never being able to have a moment of privacy or just feel like people could meet him for just the core essence of Drew... not the "Sexist Man Alive" Andrew Forrester.
Drew's smitten ways and how he was nervous of blowing things with Sydney made it real. Or as real as this type of story will allow. There were moments where you could sense these feelings he was having for Sydney threw him... he had to walk a tightrope with her... so as not to spook her... and we are there as he struggles with it all.
Of course, the sexy times were detailed, frequent and all from his never ending desire for Sydney.
We also experience all the drama and heartache, too.
If you are a fan of the series... and just couldn't let go of these two... then this is the icing on the cake of their romance.
A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
Drew Forrester had given up hope that anyone would see him for who he really is, rather than Andrew Forrester, Hollywood superstar and Sexiest Man Alive. But when Sydney Allen came into his gym bleeding and seeking help, Drew knew instantly she was his future.
Drew loves acting, but he hates practically everything else that comes with it. Sydney grounds him, helps him relax and also (unfortunately for her) unlocks his alpha male tendencies. But you always know where Drew is coming from. He may have hidden what he did for a living from Sydney, but it was under the best intentions because he knew she was skiddish and he needed to ease her into discovering his Hollywood side. When he barked at her for not answering a call or going somewhere without him or with someone else, it his insecurities and fears about losing Sydney that made him appear like a crazy man. Being inside Drew's head and getting a first hand glimpse at all his neuroses just made me love him more. Who does want the sexiest man alive only having eyes for them, willing to do anything to make sure you're happy and safe, even if his paranoia drives you crazy. Given Sydney's experience with the papparazi and fans, she knew his actions were justified and knew there were times when she just had to go with whatever Drew wanted to help ease his fears.
I already loved Drew Forrester. I knew he could be an ass, overreacting and being a tad bit overprotective about things. But with this retelling of RELATIVELY FAMOUS, from Drew's POV, Heather Leigh gave me all sorts of reasons to fall in love with Drew again. And I did. Heather Leigh took a series I adored and made that much better by getting us into Drew's head and knowing for sure every crazy ass, irritating, overprotective thing that man did was for the woman who changed his life.
Again, Leigh presents her readers with a text that is solidly written and engaging. Although Already Famous is a retelling of Relatively Famous from Drew's perspective, Drew's interpretation of Sydney's reactions and actions makes the story "new". Plus, his internal monologue is, at times, a comical combination of horny teenager and besotted mess. It's a great combination of sweet and sexy.
Because this book is told from Drew's POV, the reader finally understands where "Angry" and "Very Angry" Drew come from: an intense, almost obsessive need to protect those he loves...and that's just wicked hot :)
I really enjoyed this series, this being my favorite book. I enjoyed getting into Drew's head to see how he reacts to each situation especially at the beginning. Would love to read more about Sydney and Drew.
I really enjoyed this original series, so getting this POV from the gorgeous Drew Forrester was wonderful. I always love when an author can take a story and make it new again. I remembered that I was wanting to know Drew's thoughts while reading Sydney's version, so this was a plus. I'm not sure if the author is planning on giving Drew 3 volumes as well, but I would love some bonus scenes, that are truly new and different from Sydney's. Thanks Heather for another fun adventure of this Famous series.
It was great having the opportunity to read Drew's POV. I was a little concerned the book would be a rehash of book one, but I was pleasantly surprised. It explained a great deal and I particularly liked the information provided when Sydney was attacked and the events immediately afterwards. I also liked meeting Reid Tannen in this book. It was one area of the first two books I felt missing, that is not meeting Reid.
I really enjoyed this series very much and read all four books in under one week. A testament to how good they truly are.
I received this for an honest review. I fell in love with this whole series and this book was just the topping on the ice cream sundae. This was the perfect companion novel to the series. It was so nice to be able to read from Drew's POV!!!! I always love to be able to have the male POV and this one did not disappoint!!!
It was really good to see everything from Drew's perspective. He actually did a lot himself just to be with Sydney, and felt really guilty for everything he was keeping from her.
This is one of my favorite series, I'll be so bummed when it ends. :(
This would've been 5 stars had it not ended so abruptly. I enjoyed getting Drew's perspective, but I thought it would cover from all three books and not just the 1st one. I'm so sad that Drew and Syd's story is over...
I hoped that this would help me understand Drew better but it didn´t really help and yeah the story was basically the same as the first book without that many new scenes.
god drew, suck it up and be a man. a man who can control his ridiculous temper. i have never wanted to yell at an mc more than in this book. like tf? you’re jealous of sophie speakin with a dude on the phone when she’s already told you clearly that she doesnt like him? SUCK IT! you’re mad at the police officer who’s tryna help you find the culprit just cuz he’s trying to ask you some questions? PULL YOUR CRAP TOGETHER! you’re being annoying and gosh dang rude to everyone just cuz you’re irritated? SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! oh drew, being a “man” doesnt mean punching anything that pisses you off. CONTROL YOU’RE DARN TEMPER YOU BUTTHOLE! yeah, okay clearly my temper has been blown cuz of this book but oh well. solid 40% percent i’d say.
I thought that Drew was cray/cray in the first 3 books but in this one when you get his POV he is a psycho. He is immediately in love with Sydney and becomes IMO obsessed with her. He questions everything he does concerning her. If he text her and she doesn't immediately get back to him he starts freaking out second guessing himself and questioning her. His anger is out of control. To me he isn't love with her he wants to control her. He gets aggressive at what she wears, who she talks to, and where she is at if she isn't with him. He uses his fist, not on her, when he gets angry at something. He says it's because he is trying to protect her, but men like that usually take it out on the one they love eventually. VERY disappointed in Drew. He is nothing but a bully and Sydney is the dumb ass that excuses his actions every time.
This is the 4th book in the series but this time we get to see Drew and Sydney's story from Drew's perspective! I am someone who loves to see the same story from the other characters perspective but I am always worried about how it will turn out when first starting to read it. I have read numerous multiple perspective books and often it feels like everything is just being repeated and your not gaining anything from the additional perspective. That was not the case at all with Drew's story. I thoroughly enjoyed his internal thought process. It really helped me to understand who he was as a character and why he made certain choices. I would highly recommend reading this book if you have already read the first 3 as it really adds more depth and detail to the already amazing story!
Already Famous is a companion to Relatively Famous, told from Drew's point of view.
I don't normally read companions written in this fashion, because they don't really tell me anything more than I've already understood and realized from the original read and original point of view.
The writing of this companion is what we've come to expect with this series. You get sucked in and feel all of the feelings that Drew goes through.
It's an enjoyable read if you're looking to see the budding relationship from a different perspective.
I'm sad to see this series end. All of the characters were believable and likeable, flaws and all. If you're a sucker for a Hollywood romance story, you cant go wrong with this series. I'm going to miss Drew and Sydney!
This is Drew and Sydney's story from Drew's POV. I loved everything about their love story and I especially loved learning how Drew was feeling. This whole series is wonderfully written and the chemistry between Drew and Sydney is smoking hot. Loved every minute of this story 4/24.
the shortcap was way better than the story itself... drew has serious rage issues and all that skirting-around-the-big-pink-elephant didnt do them good anyway..
