Sharing a house with Eric “Gator” Warren wasn’t on my Christmas list. Thanks to a last-minute mix-up, I’m stuck with the grumpy, gorgeous hockey star as my new roommate.
He’s impossible to ignore Especially when he walks around shirtless, his towel slung low on his hips And he smirks at me like he knows exactly what I’m thinking.
I’m determined to keep my distance, but when a PR disaster forces us into a fake relationship, every stolen glance feels like a dare, and every kiss sets my body on fire. Suddenly, pretending feels way too real, and keeping my hands to myself? Completely impossible.
The closer we get, the harder it is to remember this is all for show. And the man I swore to avoid? He’s the one I can’t stay away from.
Falling for Eric wasn’t part of the deal But what if being naughty this Christmas costs me my heart?
Can two opposites find real love in their fake holiday romance? Or will the heat between them melt away when the season ends? Perfect for fans of forced proximity, holiday magic, and high-heat chemistry that’ll leave you breathless!
SNOWED IN WITH THE PUCK by L.J. Grey is the second book in the Love on Ice series and I’m looking forward to reading more. This is Eric and Jessica’s story told by each of them in alternating chapters. She’s a sports attorney for the Avalanche, a pro hockey team in Denver, that he’s just been traded to. She’s been assigned to him as his team attorney to keep an eye on him and more.
Eric and Jessica have chemistry from the moment they first meet which happens to be in the house they are to unexpectedly share outside Denver unbeknownst to either of them. The coach owns the house, and Jessica happens to be friends with the coach’s daughter. From there things take off exponentially. There were miscommunications, normal everyday activities, lots of hockey, emotional connections and so much more.
There are multiple stories being told, many of which have a depth to them, as do the characters. I liked the connection to Nashville and his previous team and to his friends there. It was nice to reconnect with some of them, but I also liked having a whole new cast of characters for Eric and Jessica to interact and connect with. There were a few twists and turns to the story. Some were unexpected and there are a few surprises. There’s a lot of loving, often steamy, with romance sprinkled throughout. I liked how the story played out for Jessica and Eric and how they really get to know each other and rely on each other. There is closure with a happily ever after that was nicely portrayed. The epilogue by Jessica was a nice touch, but I felt it didn’t go deep enough. Ms. Grey is a fairly new to me author and I look forward to reading more of her books and not just those in this series.

Sometimes life throws a curveball! In this delightful story, a mix-up leads to two people unexpectedly sharing a house, and a simple hug turns into a fun fake relationship. But watch out—things get pretty steamy between Eric and Jessica!
Eric has recently been traded mid-season from the Nashville team to the Denver team. Unfortunately, he has some bad press following him, which has given him a bit of a bad reputation. He’s staying at the coach’s house while he looks for a place of his own after Christmas, thinking he’ll enjoy some peace and quiet.
Jessica, the newest lawyer for the Denver hockey team, is also busy working on the latest trade contracts. She takes her best friend’s offer to stay at her family’s house during Christmas, hoping to find her own spot afterward. To her surprise, she finds out she has an unexpected roommate!
With the press closely watching every move Eric makes, eager for him to make a mistake, Jessica has been asked to keep an eye on him to ensure he remains on the team for PR purposes. To help with that, they start a fake dating arrangement. As they get to know each other better, the heat between them grows. Through their connection, they each help the other heal from their past traumas.
This story is a wonderful read, filled with engaging character backstories and a fast-paced plot that’ll keep you turning the pages! I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

Eric had just been traded from his Nashville NHL team to the team, Denver Avalanche. The Avalanche coach, Bill Stanton, has loaned him a house to stay at until he finds himself one. What he doesn't know is that Bill's ex-wife and daughter,Laura, have also loaned the house to Laura's best friend,Jessica aka Jess. Jessica has just taken a job as an attorney with the team's legal department. In fact, Jessica is the team attorney working on Eric's trade contract. The team PR department want Jessica to help repair Eric's reputation as his 'fake girlfriend'. Jason, head of the legal department wants Jessica to per se spy on Eric;she refuses. Follow the ins and outs of showing a good guy with a girlfriend at events and charity functions. Eric is also dealing with the loss of his mother at 3, being raised by his grandparents and then learning that his mother is still alive; Jessica is the one that learns this final truth. Hard decisions to make: is Denver right team and city for him, should he meet his mother after all these years and can he and Jess finds a final connection? Doubts and truths coming out.

Stories with relationships that start off fake dating and have a grumpy/sunshine person are my fav! This book also touches on: loss of parents, addiction (not main characters) and taking fighting too far (the media crucified Eric when he didn’t instigate the situation).
I loved how the first chapter kicks off with the towel scheme when Jessica and Eric first meet, it was epic! These two had amazing chemistry and just the right amount of emotional drama to keep you hooked in this book. I melted every time Eric supported Jessica and tried to be there for her. It frustrated me with all the secrets Jessica was holding (there wasn’t many but it was a huge deal). Overall I really enjoyed Eric’s and Jessica’s story and will be exploring more books by this author.
OMG this was a fantastic story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Jessica and Eric have immediate chemistry the spark between them had ignited with passion on the hockey field. This romance forbidden on a hold another level of physical attraction. This mixup was a mistake and captivating of experience and excitement and shocking of emotions and dramatic moments. This dram was like a rollercoaster ride up and down on the ice. Fighting the temptation between them had exploded of spicy and the desire was strong. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. This is Book 2 in the Love On Ice Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a grumpy vs sunshine sports romance between team lawyer Jessica and hockey star Eric. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into something more. It is a sweet love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, humor and charm, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. Entertaining holiday romance.

Great book. Love close proximity romances and since Eric and Jessica ended up staying at the same house, it was a great way to get them to spend time together. They started out knowing they needed to keep things between them professional, but things quickly heated up for them. Love the fake to real trope too and was glad to see how they really had each other’s backs when things got rough.

I really tried to like this book but it just wasn’t for me. There was way too much drama, angst and I don’t know what to think/do about these thoughts and feelings. The constant bickering got on my nerves. I found all of this very distracting and I only kept reading because I never DNF. There was lots of steam, on the plus side. The epilogue was the best part of the story since it gave closure without all the angst.
A great hockey romance. Eric gets traded from Nashville to Denver because of a fight he didn't instigate. He meets Jessica who is a lawyer for the Avalanche. Due to a misunderstanding a photo of them hugging prompts the owner and PR team to get them to fake date. This is a must-read page-turner.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Eric got a raw deal but with the help of Jessica he finds peace and lost family. I like how their fake dating becomes real with them falling in love. The best is when he can return to his old team as he wished with Jessica at his side. I liked that their relationships with their parents have improved a lot.
I thought book one in this series was incredible. This totally took the cake. It was phenomenal. The characters were engaging right from the start. I laughed, cried and laughed some more. The entire dynamic was fantastic. Absolutely loved it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Fake dating your roommate should not ignite tension so hot that your panties start to melt. Jessica and Eric have immediate chemistry, but circumstances bring them together in an unexpected but entertaining way. It was a great read that i found enjoyable.

Snag this romance read up NOW. It's a really great hockey sports romance book between Jessica and Eric that will melt ice and make your heartbeat quickly. I suggest you sit back and relax and love reading this book by L.J. like I did. It's a FANTASTIC book with a great HEA ending.
Totally bugged me that in book one of the series the team was the CHARLOTTE Eagles, then in book two they were the NASHVILLE Eagles. Seemed like the author couldn't even be bothered to make the storyline contiguous. Sloppy.
I really enjoyed snowed in with the puck which was Eric and Jessica’s story. It was an entertaining and fun read. Good characters. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving this review.
