If you are going to read this book, do yourself a favour, and try to get your hands on a Diesel engine to inspect while you are reading.

Trouble shooting and repairing Diesel Engines
Trouble shooting and repairing Diesel engines by Paul Dempsey. This book covers everything you need to know about Diesel engines. It covers basic forms of diesel mechanics, all the way up to being a professional diesel mechanic. You don't need to be a diesel mechanic to read this book and actually understand what your reading because Paul breaks everything down step by step so everything is easier to understand. I personally have used this book on my own diesel equipment including a diesel truck and a diesel tractor. Both of which are complicated and very picky machines. So in the end of this semester reading project I actually did learn something from reading that I can use everyday in the real world of diesel mechanics. I decided to check out this book because I'm planning on going to school for diesel mechanics after I graduate high school and this book has definitely helped me look at what the "basics" of diesel mechanics are. An author basically took the whole nine yards of Diesel engines and broke every operating system of the engine down which made it a lot easier to understand. Paul makes this book very sagacious, because even I can understand what he is saying and can use his knowledge to my advantage so I can self diagnose equipment. In my mature opinion, this book was definitely actually a big help to me, I learned a lot more about my equipment, it was easier for me to do basic maintenance, I was able to use my knowledge in helping other people who had some diesel problems, I just pulled this book out, looked the symptoms up, and bam. Got the answer, the guy was able to go get it fixed without spending a ton of money for a shop to diagnose and fix it. This definitely mollified me because it was a lot easier to deal with my trucks problems because I had this book to help me deal with stuff. Since this book was a non fiction book, written about Diesel engines, there were no characters, all there was in this book was awesome information. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about Diesel engines and being able to work on their stuff at home. Thank you Paul for writing such an awesome book.
