People who are in trouble must discern the source of the problem. A correct assessment of the problem's origins is the first step toward responding well and resolving the situation. Is the issue explainable by natural causes? If not, it is likely that the believer is under spiritual attack. "The Believer's Guide to Spiritual Warfare" is a practical guide to overcoming the forces of the world, the flesh, and the devil that come against believers' personal lives, families, vocations, and ministries. The Holy Spirit is ready and willing to free Christians from spiritual attack, and this essential handbook will help readers access that power. They will learn to discern the source of an attack, free themselves and others from spiritual bondage, and pray effectively to protect their homes, businesses, churches, and ministries from the forces of evil. "The Believer's Guide to Spiritual Warfare" goes beyond theory to equip believers with simple, effective tools and techniques for winning victory.
Very helpful. Contains several distinct sections so it's easy to read or review a specific topic or type of situation, and White's wide variety of example prayers will be a valuable reference. Much of the battle is fought through repentance, forgiveness, unity, love, and worship. Where the light shines, there is no place for darkness.
Absolutely a wonderful book that effectively helps you deal with the spiritual warfare. This book talks about recognizing spiritual attacks, praying for deliverance, breaking generational curses, and protecting yourself and your children in an age of growing darkness.
I tend to feel a bit hesitant about these types of books because so many are unbalanced in one direction or another, but this one came highly recommended and was relevant to some needs so I read it. I really appreciated the author’s overall perspective, very biblical and also informed by a lot of ministry experience in some areas where the Bible isn’t very proscriptive, but he always reminds people that this isn’t magic formulas and the power is Christ’s. I don’t land in the exact spot as him on everything, but there’s still a ton that is practical and helpful here. Would recommend.
It is a well written book that engages with a difficult subject. White does a great job developing Biblically sound theory to back what he says. He writes with authority and a depth of knowledge that comes from over 30 years of teaching and engaging with this subject.
I would recommend this book to read. Again as always use discernment and filters with books that fall into the spiritual warfare genre. I always am on the lookout for contextual accuracy when I read books of this nature.
