great puzzle

This is a nice story with twists and turns. I haven’t read any of the earlier books so I played catch-up trying to keep the characters in line. Note- this is one of the few book series that did not devote 1/8 of the pages to who was who, who they were with, who they were no longer with, etc. I realized the flaw in my nag but I got it figured out. The characters are fun, each with their own quirks and a lot of generational history. I enjoyed it immensely and plan on reading more of the series. I highly recommend it.

Diving into the Pelican Cove series is like meeting old friends. Jenny and the Magnolias are a true testament to friendship, support, love and caring.
When another mystery presents itself - Jenny is on the case trying to solve it, all while dealing with her own life trials. A double murder, however, is no small matter and she is forging ahead trying to figure it all out.
A wonderful addition to the series!

Awesome

A few mysteries are happening in Pelican Cove & Jenny and the Magnolias are right in the middle of it all as usual. Very enjoyable read, great mystery with a great ending. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Nice ending

Not the best story this time but the end was nice. Plot wasn't very intriguing and I never had any urge to read faster. Jason and Jenny have become very boring when Adam starts looking fun.

I have never read such a poorly written. The dialog was stilted and unrealistic. What a waste of time

Flans and Felonies

A wonder fairly lighthearted mystery with a little murder and lots of food mixed in. Time to be serious about life.

Jenny is having trouble trying to convince the Magnolias that what she plans for the café is not over the top modernisation. Star is asked to paint a picture on one of the walls & Jenny finally opens a door that has been locked since Petunia died. It is virtually empty & it is quickly decided that Star should hang her paintings in there & let people browse. Once again she is also involved in “helping” find a murderer!
