Chunky But Funky

Rate this book
Dalton Colt is what one would call a bad ass motherfucker. If one weren't in the same room with him. If one was in the same room with him, one simply called him “Sir.” Six feet, seven inches tall, he weighed in at nearly three hundred pounds. One hundred percent of him muscle-laden, proud-as-fuck United States of goddamned American bad ass Marine. The very last thing anyone wanted to do was to piss him off.

Harassing his woman was a damned good way to piss him off. It didn't matter that she wasn't really his woman, it was implied. Fortunately, that was an oversight he was about to fix. But convincing the plus sized, ebony beauty she was the one for him might prove to be his most important mission to date.

Don't mess with Dalton's woman because he's possessive and big!

Dalton decides to be upfront with Amanda, the girl he's has feelings for since coming to her aid when she was an 18 year old senior. He was at his five year class reunion and he sees some boys picking on her and from then on she was no longer bothered by anyone at that high school again.

He's about to retire from the Marines and he wants to spend the rest of life with only her but what if Amanda doesn't feel the same way about Dalton? Read "Chunky But Funky and see what happens between badass Dalton and feisty and spunky Amanda!

This was a cute yet sexy quick read and the title is Amanda, the heroine all the way!

I wish it was longer

Love the book. I have read it and re-read it so many times. I wish it was longer. Still hopeful that the author will make a follow up book.

Chunky but Funky, by Marteeka Karland, was a fantastic novella. Even though the story was short, only 24 pages of text, it was well developed.

Ms. Karland gave just enough background throughout the story to establish the long term bond between Amanda and Dalton. She gave the two depth and emotions. Having been best friends since she was 18 and he was around 23, he has been her protector.

While the story tells us that Dalton is a Marine, it does not give us any insight as to what Amanda does, or has done for the past years while Dalton has been in the Marines. What it does show is that these two were meant to be together and that even though Amanda is a full figured woman, she is exactly what Dalton wants and needs.

If the author so desired, this would be a great starter to a longer work. As a reader, I would enjoy reading another story of this nature.

Love on Top

Great short story of longing love and loyalty between the voluptuous Amanda and her Marine, Dalton, had me twisting in my bed and Love in my heart. The words they spoke to each other to seal the deal, had me tearing up. Nicely done.

Good short read

This was a great short read. The story was easy to follow and the actions believable. I will look for this author's books in the future
