My name is Fayth Andrews and I struggle daily to deal with my inner demons. I hide everything from everyone because I don’t want to be judged of things that happened in the past. Only one person knows the whole story and that’s my best friend Summer Daniels. I don’t have many friends because it’s better to keep everyone at a distance, I can’t get hurt that way. Madison Leigh and Tyler Jackson are the only other’s that I allow to be there. Summer is my rock, Madison always has an ear to lend, and Tyler fills my thoughts with a love I know I can’t have.
Fayth is wrapped up inside herself and is unable to deal with her demons. Unable to let anyone in to help heal her. After tragedy strikes and one of her worst fears are brought to the fore front, will she revert even further back or will it bring her out and make her stronger?
I grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee and you will see some of that in my writing. I absolutely love to read and can always been found with my Kindle within reach. I am a self proclaimed workaholic that squeezes in time to write.
I have no children but I have the greatest nieces and nephews anyone could ask for. My family has been really supportive of my new journey.
I love sweet tea, the sweeter the better. I can almost be bribed with it LOL.
I LOVED Picking Up the Pieces! This is definitely A MUST read! The storyline was real, and intriguing. I loved the depth that Stephanie used to write her characters and the chemistry throughout the story. Nothing fell flat for me, and every time I read an emotion from one of the characters, I felt it, too. This was a sexy and sweet read, and I'm totally in love with Tyler. I cannot wait for second one - I NEED more Tyler in my life!
I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this book. WOW, I'm so thrilled and honored that the author asked me to read it! This is an amazing read that will take you back to your childhood, make you laugh, cry, and scream! Fantastic job Stephanie! I am waiting very impatiently for the next installment...
Fayth grew up in the hills of the country, where she encountered some events that have become her demons in life. Now as an adult living away from home, she relies on her job to close the rest of the world out, only keeping her three friends that ground her close by. Summer, Madison, and Tyler make up the support system that Fayth constantly relies on.
Fayth has only confided in Summer with the secrets from her past. Madison is the friend that is fun loving and free. She gives Fayth the carefree side that she does not allow many to see. Tyler and Fayth share something that neither one knows about the other. They are in love with each other and cannot seem to bring themselves to open up about their true feelings.
After Tyler has a car accident and ends up in a coma, Fayth realizes that life is too short to live it closed off from the world. As she sits and talks to him while he lies in his hospital bed, she tells Tyler of her true feelings for him and the demons she is plagued with. Her fear is that when he awakens from his coma, he will want nothing to do with her. When he rises out of the fog from his coma-induced sleep and looks around the room that is filled with family and friends, it is his questions and confusion that has her fear become something completely different.
I loved how Fayth takes a chance on telling Tyler how she feels once she realizes going through life closed off isn’t the best thing for her. I loved how close they all were to each other. How they all pulled together when Tyler was hurt. Tyler is one man I want to read more about, he has become my next book boyfriend.
The author wrote a story about characters that have lives that the reader can relate to. It is faced paced, well written and witty. Stephanie Gresham does an excellent job of giving the reader a story of real life issues, love and true friendship. I am anxiously waiting for Part 2!
After dealing with a traumatic past, Fayth Andrews is trying to put the pieces of her life back together. She has three very close friends, Summer who knows about her past trauma and the inner demons she facing, Madison who always finds a way to lighten the mood, and Tyler…she is in love with but he doesn’t know. She also has no idea that he feels the same way. When tragedy strikes too close to home, it helps Fayth realize you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone…or almost gone.
This was a fast paced novella that was so wonderfully written that you get sucked into the story immediately. Fayth and Tyler have such a close friendship that they can tell each other anything, except their true feelings for one another.
When Tyler is seriously hurt in a car accident, Fayth begins to question her hesitancy in telling him how she feels. She stays by his side in the hospital while he is in a coma. She confesses her feelings to him and the demons she is battling from her past, all while he is comatose in the hopes that he can hear everything.
She is there for every single muscle twitch and hand squeeze. She is also there with his parents and their mutual friends, Summer and Madison, when his eyes finally open.
What happens when Tyler wakes up? Coming soon! Mending the Pieces (Part 2) to find out. I would recommend this book for anyone that wants a quick and heart touching read. This is a great debut novella for this author. A great read!!
I received a gift copy in exchange for an honest review.
In this book we meet Fayth who has had a traumatic childhood causing her to struggle with her inner demons. We meet her friends Summer, Madison and Tyler. Summer is the type of friend who makes Fayth get out and enjoy life. Madison is always there for Fayth when she is struggling. Tyler is a great friend who Fayth secretly in love with. Due to the secrets of her past she doesn't want to tell Tyler her feelings. Tyler also has feelings for Fayth but knows she has a secret and is waiting on her to tell him.
The unthinkable happens when Tyler is in an accident and slips into a coma. Fayth vows to share her feelings with him when he wakes up.... if he wakes up. Most of the story is during the time that Fayth spends at Tyler's bedside. She has plenty of time to think of her past and future.
This is a fast paced short read that ends in one heck of a cliffhanger. I hope to see all of the characters develop throughout the series. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

This was a great debut novella by Stephanie! The characters are so relate-able!!!!
The first person that you meet in this book is Fayth. Fayth has had a very rough childhood. No one knows everything she has been through except her best friend Summer. Fayth has distanced herself from her family because of the past. Fayth meets Tyler while working at a gas station. Fayth and Tyler instantly connect, however, because of her past, Fayth doesn't let the relationship get past being great friends. She is scared that if she lets Tyler know about her past that he will judge her and leave. Does Fayth and Tyler get past this?
I really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to start part 2!
Fayth, Madison, Summer and Tyler ... all very close friends. Fayth and Tyler, however, are such good friends but neither one will dare admit the deep, true feelings they have for each other. The story is very relatable because we don't always admit to those we love, that we love them for fear of rejection or worse yet, they love us back. Finally, she gets to tell Tyler ... but tragedy strikes and he's in a coma ... will love conquer all? The story leaves you hanging and waiting for the next installment, but this is a great build up to whatever is to come next.
Picking up the Pieces was a great story that had me unable to put the book down once I started. I liked the characters and their interactions with one another. Their dialogs were witty and funny.
This is a short book but packs a lot of story in it. I felt myself rooting for the main characters to take their relationship further.
When things took a turn for the worse, I had no idea what to expect and was completely surprised by the ending. I do not want to give it away but I can tell you I was very glad I had book 2 waiting for me when I finished this one!
I had the honor of being a beta reader for this series and I loved it. This story made me feel all kinds of emotions and I enjoyed being taken down my own childhood memory lane, because that is what this story does. Thank you Stephanie for allowing me to take part is this amazing journey of yours and now can you please hurry up and give me part 2 ;) Be ready to one click this one when it releases!!!!
First off, holy cliffhanger, batman. This is a heartbreaking story, every page had my attention. Fayth, in my opinion, is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. Keeping someone in the friend zone for so long, is something I would never be able to do. And Tyler, basically doing the same thing. Both of them afraid of the consequences of telling the other. This is a story of loss, hurt, and tragic events. This is a MUST read, be ready to one click part 2 when it comes out!!
What a wonderful debut novella from this wonderful author. It was a very fast pace book, but it was well written. I loved the characters and the story line. Fayth has gone through so much, and the ending will have you wanting more. It was a cliffhanger, and I didn't want it to end. I don't want to give to much away, this is a must read.
This was a cute & quick read. I finished it in a few hours. I love the close friendship that the characters have. This is a very quick moving dialog and it's a great read for the beach or a rainy day.
Oh gosh, LOVED Picking Up The Pieces!! This book was such a fun & fast read, with a lot of humor & an interesting story. I liked the quirks that each of the characters had, that made them uniquely them. Ms. Gresham, I am Soooo ready for more!! Please?!? ;) Haha!
A quick yet emotional debut book from the author. I managed to read this in a few hours and I loved the connection that the characters have growing up together. A great rainy day or a beach read. I cant wait for more of Tyler. Well done Stephanie ♡
Loved the characters and the realism of the story. So excited to learn of Fayth and Tyler's would be romance. Can't wait to find out more about Tyler's recovery and how Fayth handles the situation.
Omg I loved this book I read in one quick setting couldn't get enough of Fayth and Tyler's unfolding. Heartbreaking and now I need more!!! Can't wait to read part 2
Independent Review for Archaeolibrarian- I Dig Good Books
I'm lumping these two books together, in the nicest possible way, you really do NEED to read Picking Up The Pieces FIRST for Mending The Pieces to make any sense.
These books tell the tale of Fayth and Tyler. How they came to be friends, how they both want more but are afraid to ask for it, and how, following a devastating accident, they get to know each other again.
Its written in the first person, present tense. And if you follow my reviews, you'll know thats not a favourite of mine, and it also flips from Fayth to Tyler (each change is clearly headed though!) again, not a favourite of mine. BUT once I got into the second book, I didnt notice it so much. Picking Up The Pieces is mostly Fayth, and Mending the Pieces is mostly Tyler, so you get bits of them both before the accident and after.
What let it down, for me, was Fayth's past. It could have been so much more part of the story. Just telling Tyler (twice, with EXACTLY the same wording, could have changed it up a bit) wasn't enough for me. The little hints along the way were not enough, it needed to be more part of the story.
What I really liked though, was that Tyler never fully recovers from the accident. I'm not saying how or why, because that might spoil it, but I really did like that part! Makes me a little odd, maybe, but still, it made a change to a complete and miraculous recovery.
Picking Up The Pieces is short, only 54 pages, and Mending the Pieces is 182 pages. I would have preferred to have read it as an entire book. adding 50 odd pages to 180 odd wont make it a massive book, just a longer one with it all together. I'm really NOT liking this trend, at all.
All in all, a nice story, with some happy bits, some sad, and some make you think bits.
3.5 stars for a combination of both books.
(Same worded review will appear on Archaeolibrarian blog, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com for both books)
Oh wow! Picking Up The Pieces Part #1 in the 2 part series has me drawn in and begging for more. I can't wait to read more and see where exactly the author is taking this heart wrenching story.
In this short story you meet a woman with some personal demons that haunt her day to day. If her scared past is not enough then her career decision to be an EMT is going to destroy her. She has a very close group of friends, but lets almost no one else in. In this group is a man that holds her heart. He feels the same, but they both avoid letting each other know. Well that is until both of their lives are turned upside down. After a terrible accident she stays by his side. Will he wake? Will she ever get to tell him how she feels? Will her past cost them a future and friendship?
This has been a beautiful tale this far and I can't wait dive in to Part #2.
Fayth Andrews is a woman with a rough past history that has left her somewhat isolated except for a few close friends. One of those friends is Tyler Jackson-a man she is in love with but unable to express her feeling to because she feels like her past has tainted her.
After a horrible accident she finds herself finally coming clean, but what will be the end result? This is a nice story that draws you in and makes you root for Fayth to persevere. All in all a nice read.
If you don't like cliffhangers, then you better wait for the second book before you read this. I liked this book. I feel there could have been more dialogue between Fayth and Tyler's parents, but it was good. I'm dying to find out what happens next...soon! :)
