Cami's a wildlife photographer, strictly not looking for love

Tiffany's a recently divorced lawyer, hoping to turn a new leaf

This trip was supposed to be about adventure and leaving my past behind.
Instead, I find Cami Rivera-my headstrong, gorgeous college ex, making my heart race and my boots stumble. I thought I was done with her. Turns out I might be done for.

Ciara Turner's 'Love Among the Wildflowers' is a heartfelt tale of rediscovery, resilience and the enduring power of love. The novel masterfully weaves a second-chance romance between two compelling characters, set against the backdrop of lush, vivid landscapes that feel almost like a character themselves.

Turner excels at portraying emotions with authenticity, allowing readers to deeply connect with the protagonists as they navigate their pasts and wrestle with the possibility of rekindling their bond. The chemistry between the characters feels genuine and the story is rich with moments of tenderness and introspection.

Through Tiff's POV, readers experience the weight of unhealed wounds and the hesitant steps toward vulnerability. Her internal dialogue is deeply relatable, as she grapples with self-doubt and the courage required to revisit her past. On the other hand, Cami's perspective brings a refreshing contrast, offering insight into her resilience and unwavering hope, even in the face of heartbreak. This dual narrative structure allows readers to connect with both characters on a profound level, adding depth to their evolving relationship.

It is a beautifully crafted Sapphic romance that explores the themes of love, forgiveness and second chances. Told through the alternating perspectives of Cami Rivera and Tiffany Whitmore, the story draws readers into their emotional journeys with authenticity and depth.

Through Cami, we experience the quiet strength and vulnerability of a wildlife photographer seeking solace and reconnection with herself in the natural world. Her perspective is rich with introspection, capturing the beauty of the landscapes and her struggle to open her heart to the past. Tiffany, on the other hand, brings a contrasting lens as a recently divorced lawyer navigating the complexities of rediscovery and hope. Her resilience and determination to mend their fractured bond add a layer of emotional intensity to the narrative. The dual perspectives beautifully complement each other, allowing readers to form a deep emotional connection with both characters.

The lush setting of the wildflowers amplifies the tenderness of the story, creating a vivid backdrop for Cami and Tiffany's rekindled romance. While certain plot developments might feel predictable, the depth of the characters and their evolving dynamic more than make up for it. I liked Val and Myra but Ahmed was off for me, like and unrequited addition.

Ciara Turner has delivered a touching tale enriched by alternating perspectives that offer emotional nuance and complexity. It's a heartfelt reminder that love, like wildflowers, can thrive even after adversity.
Ciara's words are magical and she knew how to touch reader's heart. I would like to mention few quotes from the book;
“She sits down on the rock next to me, close enough that I can feel the warmth radiating from her, but not so close that we’re touching. So much is still unsaid between us—the unspoken words more of a burden than anything else.”

“Walls can protect you, but they can also keep the good things out.”

“Editing photos on a tiny camera screen isn’t ideal, but I don’t need perfection right now—just a sense of what I’ve captured so far.”

“The memory of our kiss earlier plays on a loop in my mind, every detail as vivid as if it just happened. The way she looked at me, like she wasn’t sure she deserved it but hoped she did. The way her lips felt—soft, hesitant, but so warm. I close my eyes, savoring the memory, and for the first time in a long time, I let myself imagine what it would be like to let her back in.”

While the romance is the heart of the book, Turner's exploration of themes like forgiveness, self-acceptance and the courage to embrace vulnerability adds layers of depth to the narrative. The pacing occasionally lulls, and a few plot points feel slightly sluggish, which may momentarily detract from the overall tension. However, these are small quibbles in an otherwise well-crafted and emotionally engaging story.

This Sapphic love story is a beautiful reminder that love can bloom anew, even in the face of adversity. A clean non-sexual pure romance. I highly recommend it to fans of heartfelt, character-driven romances.

"A solid 4 out of 5 stars!"

This book was an enjoyable read.

I really liked following Cami and Tiffany’s story. The writing was strong, and the pacing felt just right. It wasn’t too fast or too slow.

The chemistry between the two main characters was fantastic. It was easy to see how their old, unexplored feelings slowly resurfaced. Tiffany’s journey felt relatable, especially her struggles with coming out and embracing her emotions. While her fear was understandable, it did lead her to make some questionable decisions, which added depth to her character.

I also appreciated the details about hiking and flowers. They were a nice touch and taught me a lot. It made the setting feel vivid and immersive.

Even the side characters were memorable. They added warmth to the story, and I found myself rooting for them whenever something good happened in their lives.

Overall, if you’re looking for a light, heartwarming read with a second-chance romance, a beautiful hiking setting, and a lovable group of characters, this book is a great choice.

4 stars. Myra is the hero of this book. She’s the one that make Cami and Tiffany finally pull their heads out of their asses and talk to each other. She deserves nothing but the best things in her life for her contributions because if it wasn’t for her those two would’ve kept tip toeing around each other.

Cami and Tiffany were together in college before Tiffany up and left Cami with just a note and no other kind of communication. They see each other again years later on a hiking trip in Peru. Tiffany is recently divorced from her husband and is using the trip to find herself. I liked both characters a lot and found them to be likable. The chemistry between them was really good even in the beginning when they weren’t sure how to deal with each other. It was easy to be on both characters sides and see where they both were coming from. Cami was still holding on to that hurt, Tiffany wanted to apologize and explain her side. I liked it. This was a really sweet romance with a likable cast of characters and a unique setting. I really enjoyed it.

No one writes second chances like Ciara Turner. Love Among the Wildflowers is the sweetest sapphic story I've read in a long time!

Tiff and Cami were such unique characters. I loved them separately, and I love the chemistry between them. The moment when they first see each other on the bus is such a great plot moment. The side characters were just as well done! I love how Ciara Turner spends time making sure her support characters don't feel flat.

I love the setting. The forced proximity of a hike was a clever and believable way to bring the characters together.

The writing is absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully written.

If you're looking for second chances, self-discoveries, and a wholesome sapphic novella, you've found your next read!

(Also, can we just talk about this cover...😍)

"Love Among The Wildflowers" by Ciara Turner is a beautifully heartfelt sapphic romance about love, self- discovery, and second chances. We follow Cami, who unexpectedly crosses paths with her ex, Tiff, during a hiking trip. As the hiking trip continues, Cami and Tiff confront their past and old feelings arise. They must decide if they’re going to embrace a future together.

I do have to say I loved the part in the beginning where they notice each other on the bus. After this, it was so interesting waiting to see who would make the first move. I will digress, don’t want to give any spoilers.

Ciara Turner is a beautiful story teller. Ciara adds an emotional depth, along with a portrayal of a beautiful love rekindled. This was a warm and touching journey of healing and rediscovery.

love is worth the risk

“if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years, it’s that love is worth the risk.” This is a second chance romance done perfectly. When I say I couldn’t put this book down I mean I read cover to cover non stop. You not only get two past lovers who life has thrown together on a hiking trip but you also get the love and heartbreak of those around them. Each step of the journey is an emotional roller coaster where these two love struck women deny their feelings not only to each other but to themselves as well. With help and advice from those around them they finally admit their feelings and the love they thought was lost springs back to life. Truly a must read for all fans of love stories

Just the cozy read I needed

Everything about this book gives me a sense of peace and loveliness.
From the beautiful fauna described in so much detail, it transports you to South American forests, to the tender, soft moments between Cami and Tiff–everything made me want to cuddle with a blanket and a good tea, and just keep reading.

If you need a short cozy read, filled with love and beautiful friendships, this is your book.
Plus, you have your comedic relief in Jeremy who won't disappoint!

✨ARC Review✨

A sweet, wholesome, sapphic novella. In a nutshell, this story was about rediscovering oneself and putting your own happiness to the forefront. It’s been a while since I’ve read a PG romance and though a short read, I thought the author did a fantastic job of writing a believable second chance romance. Reminded me of a cute Hallmark-ish movie and I enjoyed.

Thanks to Author Ciara Turner for allowing me to read an advanced copy for an honest review.

Two people, separated by fear and family, have a chance meeting on an adventure hike in South America. At first, the pain and/or shame of how they separated threaten to keep them apart.
Ciara uses the force proximity of the hike to allow Tiff and Cami to face their fears and slowly break down the wall, which keeps them apart.
This sweet romance is as any out there, sapphic or not. Beautifully written with amazing imagery, the read is a will participant in the journey to a happy ever after.

One of the best sapphfic pieces I’ve read…

As an author myself who incorporates sapphic elements into my work, I enjoyed this immensely. Turner has a way with dialogue and character interaction that’s compelling and even a bit cringing (in the sense of “OMG, that’s close to home uncomfy… and now I can’t unsee it”) at times. Highly recommended!

Don’t get me wrong it was only 120 pages but I should really not have to wait till 70% for them to get back together then… also the reason they were iffy to get back together, trust me I get it, but you played it HARD. it felt so unbelievable at times I just got through it.

Was an enjoyable enough read.

Mainly a character study of Tiff & Cami, which did feel a little rushed to me personally.

The writing was lovely and engaging.

This is an absolute gem of a book! Set during a hiking trip in the Andes mountains outside of Cuzco, Peru, Love Among the Wildflowers is a sweet, sapphic, no spice, second chance romance. If you ever wished you could have a second chance with the one who got away, this is the book for you!

Tiffany Whitemore - Tiff, a recently divorced lawyer, booked a hiking vacation to the Andes in an attempt to find herself and reevaluate her priorities in life. From a conservative family, Tiff married a man and focused on her career, instead of coming out to her family and staying with her college girlfriend, whom she ran away from without an explanation.

Camila Rivera - Cami, a wildlife photographer, booked a trip on the same hiking tour, hoping to take enough gorgeous photos to earn her a book or documentary deal. She's had a few casual girlfriends, but none of them ever compared to the woman who broke her heart.

Imagine Tiff and Cami's shock when they find themselves on the exact same tour bus, 13 years since they last laid eyes on each other. Although they have both secretly kept an eye on one another's career and life via social media posts, they have never talked about what happened when Tiff left Cami. Can love overcome over a decade of heartbreak?

I adored this book! All of the characters were lovable and well written. The descriptions of the scenery were breathtaking, I definitely would love to visit the Andes after reading this! And the emotions felt so real. I highly recommend it!
