REEVE

St. Patrick's Day at the Irish pub I run is always a collective clusterf*ck. Pitchers of green tinted beer, too many shots of Irish whiskey, and women clad in "Kiss Me I'm Irish" t-shirts make for a long night. After too many years from behind this bar, I've seen and heard just about everything.

That is, until trouble walks into my bar in the form of my younger, pain in the rear end neighbor, Willow Compton. When I overhear her plans for the night and what she intends on giving away at the end of the evening, I step in with a spicy bet the little troublemaker can't refuse.

WILLOW

Being a virgin at twenty-four is honestly embarrassing enough as it is, but to find out the hot, older bartender that is my enemy of a neighbor overheard my plans is truly next level mortifying. And when he finds out another tidbit of my humiliating dilemma, he adds in an insane wager... and I'm desperately intrigued.

The No kissing. No sleepovers. No catching feelings. One night only.

And one bet I can't wait to lose.

Okay Danielle I see what you did here. For every girl who wants a dirty talking man who’s built and wants to take care of his girl…Reeve showed up and showed up big time!!!

This novella hit the spot. With all the fun of Paddy’s day and also spending time with the man you didn’t know you needed. It was so much fun to see these two banter and then fight and then realize that they actually liked each other.

These two come up with an arrangement. They are going to do the whole neighbors helping neighbors thing. Except after two weeks Willow has feelings. Reeve is in denial about his but Willow can’t fight her anymore.

It doesn’t take much time for it all to go to pot and Reeve can’t watch her try to move on. The luck of the Irish is too strong here. In the end he “lost the bet and his heart” and begs her to take “a bet on him”.

The come together in the best way and love each other hard.

This one was soooo good!!!

⭐ ARC REVIEW ⭐

“If a guy can’t make you c*me, you don’t owe his ego any pats on the back for something he couldn’t make good on."

Wow wow wow, Danielle has done it AGAIN with another holiday novella.

I read this in about 1 hour flat and wish it was an entire novel. Danielle has such an amazing way of making you fall in love with her MCs in the first 10 pages. (she's magic, I'm pretty sure.)

Safe to say I will snatch up every novella/novel Ms. Baker has to offer. ❤️

Willow and Reeve are the two least likely people to find themselves in the situation they found themselves in and that is what drew me in! Well that and the sexy Lessons that Reeve promised to teach Willow. I wanted to see his "teaching" 😉 methods 🤣.

I enjoyed seeing how these two grew feelings when they both said that they weren't going to get the feels. Reeve quickly made Willow feel as if he wasn't having these feelings just to discourage her, but he was struggling with them himself. Not everyone is as immune as they think they will be when they get in the midst of everything.

🔥 Let's Talk About Sex Baby 🥵: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Toys are Teammates

These two had the chemistry, the in bed banter and definitely the Lessons that most women would enjoy. He was patient with her and made sure that she understood everything as it happened.

Lucky in Love
Review

Let’s talk about Danielle Baker’s newest contribution to our list of book boyfriends!
This week a brief novella and she doesn’t waste a single word. Willow and Reeve are neighbors who have a healthy disdain for each other. He’s a bit older than she is and thinks she’s silly and reckless. She thinks he’s a grump.
Reeve has overhears Willow discussing giving away her…you know…and decides the guy isn’t worthy so he makes a bet with her.
Spoiler alert…he wins!
The banter is refreshing and fun! The story is past paced. Lucky in Love is a fun little read!
Thank you Danielle Baker for trusting me with your ARC!

Oh my Dani 🥵 that was intense and hotter than hell.

As part of her holiday novella collection, Dani just wrote one of the HOTTEST ones. And I mean Dani, has some 🔥🌶️ scenes. The Christmas lights scene lives rent free in my head but the shamrock shake scene makes me look at those a whole different way now🥵.

After Reeve overhears about Willow’s lack of experience in the bedroom, he decides what better way for her to learn, than with hands on experience with him, her neighbor.

This spicy little quickie 😏 is a fun, satisfying, enemies-to-lovers read! Reeve, a grumpy bartender, and Willow, his bold younger (also virgin, of course) neighbor make a bet on St. Patrick’s Day. When he overhears her tell her best friend she’s ready to lose her virginity, Reeve is all to happy to convince her why he’s the man for the job. Their fiery banter paired with their history of dislike for one another make for an entertaining story with just the right mix of heat and heart as they start thinking maybe it’s not dislike after all.

This was such a spicing and chemistry filled St. Patrick’s Day novella and I was here for it! The chemistry that Willow and Reeve had was top notch and with a little story sprinkled in it was perfect, chefs kiss! Also let me just say that no one ever says let’s have a one night stand and that be the end because these two were hot and they caught feelings! When you see a non relationship man like Reeve get brought to his knees then you know it’s a sign of what’s to come.

Danielle… I love your writing and I can’t wait for more from you!

If Danielle writes it, I'm definitely reading it, and this novella did not disappoint. It perfectly captures the fun of St. Paddy's Day while also exploring the unexpected connection between two characters. The chemistry between Willow and Reeve was electric, making their interactions utterly captivating. With a delightful balance of spice, chemistry, and a touch of heart, this story hits all the right notes.
Willow sets out for a night of fun with one goal in mind, but when she makes a bet with her grumpy, older, and incredibly attractive neighbor, she quickly realizes that the night has something more in store than she ever expected. Every single book that Danielle writes is freaking amazing. This one is off the charts amazing. It is a quick read but packs the punch. This storyline is set in a small Michigan town. I believe the perfect setting for this storyline. I absolutely love Reeve and Willow. These two are the most amazing, cute couple. I absolutely want a Reeve in my life.
Willow is a single woman just wanting to live her life. She lives next to Reeve in a small house that has been turned into apartments. Willow cannot stand Reeve because she thinks that he is a man whore. But little does she know that Reeve is not that guy. Reeve's learns something about Willow that changes everything between them. He offers to help Willow with her little issue. But it becomes something so much more between them. Will Reeve realizes before it is to late what he could have with Willow?
This is a must read not just because it is written by one amazing author but because it is a well written book with a great storyline. Another hit for Danielle Baker.

☘️ Lucky In Love - by Danielle Baker ☘️ ARC Review

I loved this short, sweet, and spicy novella! I read the other 3 novellas in this series prior to reading this ARC and was happy to get Willow and Reeves' love story.

With just about 100 pages this novella wastes no time getting right to 'business' and by the end it didn't feel like just 100 pages with how much heart, feels and spice she fit into the book. I would gladly take 100 pages more! Thankfully, this book is part of a series where the books are all interconnected and the characters appear in other books.

When the full series is completed (by the end of 2025) they can be read in order by holiday in a calendar year! The reading order will be as follows:

Be Mine, Valentine (published)
Lucky In Love (releasing March 8th 2025)
Birthday Wishes (published)
Halloween Night (releasing October 2025)
Meet Me Under the Mistletoe (published)
Midnight Kiss (unknown)

Highly recommend this book/series if you want a short read that doesn't skip on any of the banter, spice, longing, passion and so so much heart! ❤️ ☘️

How Danielle fit so much into so few pages I’ll never know! This was such a perfect story and I could have read chapters upon chapters more to Reeve and Willow! The tension, hate, filthy dirty talk and spice was absolute perfection. I think it really shows how amazing an author is when they can get a perfect story across in the form of a novella. MMCs written by Danielle hit different because the girl can write spice. My god I was blushing so hard for Reeve Luck! If you’re thinking I don’t want a book that jumps right into spice 1. You’re wrong and 2. This book does not give that vibe. You get everything you could want and more. I am dying for more of Reeve and Willow and honestly more of Danielle’s writing! So fun so good, high recommend!

I have one word. Wow. This St. Patrick’s Day themed novella was sweet, funny, and a whole lot of spicy! 🌶️

Willow is a 24 year old virgin, who is determined to get it over with and lose her virginity. As much as she wants it to be special, she’s also looking at it as transactional. She goes to a bar where her neighbor, Reeve Luck, is a hot bartender who lives by a strict set of self-imposed rules. He’s determined to be the guy who takes Willow’s virginity, while doing his best to adhere to his rules, even if it makes him a jerk. The more time they spend together, the harder it is not to break the rules. This story shows that some rules are definitely made to be broken.

This was a quick, easy, and fun read. I love how Danielle writes these themed novellas and incorporates everything that she possibly can to build on that theme. I genuinely enjoy everything that she writes!

These holiday novellas are an amazing balance between spice and plot that you don’t usually see in a book of this size. This one follows Willow (also known as Trouble) and Reeve (aka Luck). Luck is your grumpy bartender next door whereas Willow embodies black cat energy with the banter she is able to bring. Oh did I mention that she is a 24 year old virgin?

She decides that she just wants to get it over with while out at Luck’s bar while out with her bestie on St Patrick’s day. He makes a decision that she is not just going to give it away to the douche canoes who are drinking at his bar and offers to give her an experience to remember. He just has rules, because of course he does.

The rules are as follows:
1. No kissing
2. No catching feelings
3. No spending the night
4. One night only

And wouldn’t you know….all those rules just start to disappear. The path these two take is equal parts funny and sweet. This is definitely a need to read book!

Lucky in Love is a fast, fun, and irresistibly spicy read—I completely devoured it! This novella is all about having a good time, and it absolutely delivers.

Take two neighbors who can’t stand each other, throw in an overheard private conversation, and add a little “I’ll coach you through it” to the mix. Now, stir in a long list of rules just begging to be broken, and what do you get? A scorching-hot story that manages to bring the heat while sneaking in feels, just enough angst, and laugh-out-loud moments to keep you hooked.

Willow and Reeve are absolute perfection together, and let’s be honest—Reeve having to do a little bit of begging? That’s just the cherry on top. If you’re in the mood for a steamy, addictive novella with all the right ingredients, Lucky in Love is a must-read!

Special thanks to the author, Danielle, for the gifted copy 💚🍀

If you’re looking for a fun and spicy read this St Patty’s Day novella by Danielle Baker is perfect! This is part of her holiday novella collection and I am obsessed. The novella’s St Patrick’s day theme so perfectly done. Reeve and Willow have amazing chemistry from the beginning. The banter between them had me giggling and kicking my feet. The spice is so good and Reeve’s dirty talking is so hot. Overall the novella has a great plot and a lot of detail put in for being so short. I honestly wish it was a full length book just because of how much I loved Reeve and Willow!! I highly recommend reading this for a fun break from longer books and it’s just in time for St Patrick’s day!

Lucky in love

These holiday novellas by Danielle are so fun and spicy, and I can't get enough. Super quick St. Patrick's Day novella about Reeve and Willow.

These two are neighbors at their apartment building, Reeve annoys willow with his 3am hookups. And Willow annoys Reeve with her million alarms at 6 am. He owns the bar and gets in late, and she works at the flower shop with her sisters.

Oh, and willow is a virgin, and let's just say Reeve gives her some lessons. It's supposed to be just once, no sleepovers, no kissing, and no feelings. Reeve keeps coming back for more until Willow admits she's caught feelings. But don't worry, they get their HEA, and I could've read so many more pages of these two.

And halloween next... yes, please!!!

Someone throw a giant bucket of water on me, please (yes, im begging because Reeve can call me a good girl, too 😘)! 🥵🥵🥵 This St. Patty's Days novella was so flipping good. It was so much spice! Like, oh my word, Danielle Baker, you are a woman on 🔥! The chemistry between Reeve and Willow was so on point. I loved their banter and their sweetness. I honestly can't really say enough. I was in all sorts of puddles for Reeve right from the start 🫠, and even during the times when I was so angry with him. I was very verbal in my reactions to this story 😂. This is another AMAZING novella to add to the collection!

Hello Reeve Luck, the asshole neighbour next door with a dirty mouth and possessive side! This spicy novella, was nothing short of five stars for me.

The way Danielle is able to draw me in within the first chapter or two is amazing. I have yet to read a book/novella that I don’t fall in love with.

One night between these two sharing Willows firsts, turned into a two weeks and all but one of Reeves rules broken.

But When he sees her a month later with another man he all but breaks his last rule and there is no going back.

I feel like I could see myself so easily in this character and it definitely pulled at my heart strings!

Must read!!!

LMAO at this:

“Will I look different? Oh god, will my friends and family just know as soon as they look at me?”

This is hands down my favorite of all the Holiday Novellas. I just love how these characters interconnect and the little cameos we get to have. I absolutely adore Reeve and Willow and I just feel like it was written so well and so captivating. I absolutely adore the dual POV and she has done such a great job coming into herself as a writer. Literally one of only two books- both by her that I’ve devoured and been able to finish this year. Super grateful that I’ve been along for the ride and looking forward to the rest of the installments in this collection.

Are you looking for a face paced holiday romance that doesn’t skip on the spice? Lucky in love is just the book for you.
Willow is a gorgeous, fun loving girl out for a good time with her best friend, little does she know how the night will end.
Luck is the bar tender who is constantly watching her shenanigans. It’s the same routine when she comes in on St Patrick’s day, right up until he overhears her discussing a secret with her best friend.
What could make a standoffish grumpy bartender suddenly decide to get involved with the carefree bar customer who’s also his neighbor? Grab Lucky in love and see what happens!
