I should have known I’d break the oath I made when I offered to let my best friend’s little sister move in with me…
She’s the sweetest woman on the face of the planet.
And to my great misfortune, the sexiest one, too.
She’s been living under her brother’s roof her entire life, and she’s ready to spread her wings.
And I’m the masochist who offers she stay at my place until she can find an apartment.
When I hear her having a nightmare, the only thing I can do is go to her. Hold her so she knows she’s safe from her demons.
The second she’s in my arms, the attraction I’ve tried to hide sparks to life. I know better than to push past the boundaries I’ve set for us, but when she begs me to touch her in a way she’s never been touched, I can’t resist.
And with my name on her lips as I send her soaring for the first time, I know there’s no going back.
I’m willing to break every rule and oath I’ve ever made to keep her.
Accept every consequence.
Only she and I have a dark, dangerous history that no one knows about.
And I’m afraid the consequences of loving her have just caught up to us…

I didn’t want this book to end. This was even better than a first one 👍. I loved the story and small town feel . Give me protective MMC and i don’t need anything else.
I found chemistry between Raven and Otto absolutely beautiful 🥰. The the tension and angst was amazing. And the spice? Well don’t let me start on that 👌🔥🔥🔥.
Needless to say I will read every book by this author because I am obsessed with these people ❤️.
Under an Endless Moon is another gem by A.L. Jackson. This was my first book in this series and I definitely want to read the first one after I read this one.
In this book we follow Raven and Otto. Otto is Raven's brother's best friend. And they have loved and longed for each other for seven years. They have been tiptoeing around each other and their chemistry was palpable from the first page onwards. I love how Otto always watches her, protects her and has a fierce 'touch her or die' mentality.
That mentality isn't just coming from an alpha male protectiveness. A few years ago Raven almost died. Haddie, her best friend and Otto's sister did. And the murderer got away. Otto has been consumed with the need for revenge ever since that day. And his need to protect Raven only intensified a million times after that.
Otto is also part of a close knit band of brothers. They protect those in need, and avenge those who deserve to be avenged. I love how close, open and honest that brotherhood is. And how seamlessly their close family falls into that bond. It truly is a book about family, love and having each other's back.
But it's also a slow burn. Otto carries a burden on his shoulders that he doesn't want Raven to even touch. So he keeps her at a distance. And he fights his feelings or taking things to the next level for quite a while.
And when faul gravity is sprayed on Raven's shop and she get hurt things get on high alert and Otto doesn't let her out of his sight anymore.
This book has so much heart. So much love and so much connectedness. It really warmed my heart while reading it. Combined with their hot and lusty need it completely consumed me.
I read a review that waxed poetically about the connection these two had, how they were each others person etc etc. So I figured wow finally one that's not following the usual bs of having the H be a manwhore despite loving the h.......not quite.
Brother's best friend He's got his f buddies that we of course just HAVE to hear about 🙄🙄🙄🙄but he can't be with the h for xyz reasons 🙄🙄🙄🙄🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿 😂
4.5 'You’re my favorite person' Stars! ARC provided via Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve been waiting for this release since I finished the last word on the first installment in this series. It made me incredibly happy to receive the ARC (my first one this year!) of none other than A.L. Jackson’s upcoming romance Under an Endless Moon. This is the second book in her newest series (called Moonlit Ridge) and it’s all about Raven and Otto.
“Look at you, Raven. Look at who you are. If you could only see the way I see you. You are brave and strong. So goddamn beautiful. A bloom in the middle of the darkest night.”
We met these two in the first book, Raven is River’s sister, and Otto is his best friend and “business partner”. So yeah, this baby is all about falling for the brother’s best friend and to make it more interesting Amy threw some forced proximity and secret pinning in there as well. It also continues the secret society theme, just like From Here to Eternity.
“I will make it to the sunrise. Here, with him, I wanted to stand in the sun.”
I have to say, this couple had me hooked from the very start. I don’t know how Amy does it but her writing and her characters just do it for me in a BIG way. The poetic way she writes about feelings, falling in love, just that special connection is just marvelous. I loved Raven and Otto together even though Otto fights his pull towards her until he can’t no longer contain it. If you loved the first installment in the series, you definitely have to check out Under an Endless Moon because it will make you fall in love even more with these characters. And as the book ended, that definitely had me curious and excited to get to the next one!
-Brother's Best Friend -Small Town -Bodyguard (kinda) -Romantic Suspense -Swoony & Sexy -Mutual Pining -Surprisingly NOT a Single Parent Romance (iykyk) haha!
I love falling into a story from this author. They are always a flowery and poetic, yet still edgy and not afraid of the dark topics. There's a delicate balance to strike.
Otto and Raven have literally danced around one another for years. Seeing things finally bubble up and boil over was a delight. After some threats to Raven, she needs watching over, so she stays with Otto, and he has no chance to resist her. ☺️ We love to see it.
The longing and mutual pining were at their finest, and I loved seeing them both heal together from some past pains. Both because of each other and from outside troubles.
I listened to an ALC and it was narrated by Connor Crais & Desiree Ketchum.
4.5 Stars 3 on the spice scale
CW: PTSD, past assault and violence, kidnapping, and more
*Thank you to VPR and the author for an ALC of this title.*
Under an Endless Moon is romantic. super cheesy romantic. Not surprise by it since this is Miss Jackson who wrote it. The plot is secondary focus. a lot fo smutt.
Unfortunately, this author consulted a thesaurus, so she has ALL the words. This book easily could have been reduced by a third, if the same sentiment wasn't restated three different ways. Have some faith in your readers; we got it the first time.
This was my last-chance romance with this author, but never again. This could have been a good story, if it wasn't so horribly written.
For the love of all things, consult a grammar text, hire a competent editor, or perform a Google search. I'll start you off: parts of speech, complete sentence, sentence fragment, pronoun, personal pronoun, subject, verb. While "you" understood is a thing, "I" understood...not so much. (See again: personal pronoun.)
There are several greats in this genre who manage to express the nature of their characters, while also conforming to grammar standards. Reach for the stars.
"I doubt the things we go through ever fully go away. They scar us and mark us forever. It’s how we handle those scars that define us." The swoon. The protectiveness. The pining. The care. The… everything. Every. Single. Thing about this book is beautiful. Friends to lovers when written this way just hits you in the feels.
"But what made my insides quake were his eyes. A piercing, entrancing blue that always made me feel as if I’d been speared to the spot. As if they could carve and cut and see right down to the depths of me." Otto is the happy-go-lucky guy who isn’t that happy at all. His past made him who he is now, and while people may see morally gray, I see green flags all around. It’s in the way he looks after everyone. In the way he will do whatever it takes to keep the ones he loves safe.
"Maybe I should have accepted it as my fate. That it was already over. Maybe I should have known Raven Tayte was really going to be the end of me." And Raven… I loved her in the first book of the series, but something told me this girl who befriends everyone she sees was hiding something. I wasn’t wrong. I love her, her strength, her sass, her vulnerability, and damn it, I wish we could be friends.
"Think it’s best if you keep your conquests to yourself. Don’t want to think of you with another man, and I sure as fuck don’t want to watch you with one." Raven and Otto are friends. Best friends. They have the kind of friendship forged in past hurt, pain, and knowing they’ll be there for each other. So much so that Otto calls her his “little sister,” which, to her, is aggravating. She’s been pining for Otto for what seems like forever. The thing is… so has he. And it’s starting to show.
"You’re my favorite fuckin’ person in the world, Raven. What makes you think I wouldn’t want you at my house?" When she finds herself wanting to get out of her brother River’s house and stand on her own two feet, Otto’s there for her. He welcomes her into his house until she finds something she can call her own. He welcomes temptation too. Because she’s too close now. And he’s no longer sure he can keep all his feelings at bay.
"I wanted to fly. I wanted to rise. And I knew, all the way down to the deepest parts of me, that I wanted to rise with him." I love Amy’s flashbacks. I love the way they seamlessly fit into the story and let us know what we need to know. What we’re craving. Because that’s the way we see the connection Otto and Raven have, and while there’s lust there, there is so much more too. And it’s the little moments between them, the push and pull, the looks, the touches, the dancing in the kitchen… All of it felt so special.
"I read these stories because I want to be swept away. Because I want to imagine this happening to me. And every time, I wish it was you. I touch myself, wishing it was you. It’s you. It’s always you." It’s torture to watch them both not going for what they want, but it’s the exquisite kind. And if there’s something I love, it’s when the FMC pushes the MMC into finally doing something. When they both give in, it all fits. We knew they were meant to be, but we’re shown just that with every page.
"Told you I’d stand in front of every bullet if it meant keeping you safe." Someone’s coming for Raven, though, which means someone’s coming for Otto and all of them—because they’re a family. I loved the romantic suspense element and how it forces their hand, making them admit what they’re feeling. I loved the way they stood up for each other.
"You are the first thought I have when I open my eyes in the morning and the last one before I go to sleep. You are the thunder in my veins and the chaos in my spirit. You are everything I want and the one thing I’m not supposed to have." When Otto and Raven allow themselves to love fully, it's swoony, but it's so very hot too. I mean, what did you expect? So. Good. Even when their secrets come to light, it’s perfect. Because those secrets only show how far they will go to keep each other safe. How much they’ve always wanted each other and loved each other throughout the years.
You get the whole band of brothers, of course, and adorable Nolan and Charleigh. And hold on to your hats because the next book is going to be GOOD! Kane’s coming next!
"You are the light inside of me, Raven. Only thing that could ever lead me out of the dark. Gonna love you through it all. Under every endless moon. And when dawn finally breaks, I will watch you rise." Find the person who is willing to share the load, your burden, help you through it, support you, and push you from the darkness into the light… because that’s the one worth keeping. Endless.
Under an Endless Moon by A. L Jackson 4,5/5⭐ 3/5🌶️
"My moonflower. Can't wait to watch you glow. To see you fully bloom in the middle of the darkness."
I’ve been excited to read this author's book (The Redemption Hills series has been on my TBR for a while!), and now I’m wondering why I waited so long to read it! This was such an incredible read! It took me on a roller coaster of emotions, making me laugh, smile, cry, and swoon. Most importantly, I fell in love with the characters! Otto and Raven’s story was just beautiful. Their chemistry, the mutual pining, and the tension between them were off the charts!
Raven is such an admirable character. She’s strong, independent, resilient, and fierce. She’s been through so much since childhood, and my heart aches for her. Luckily, she has her brother River and eventually Otto by her side. The history between Raven and Otto added depth to their relationship. The dual timeline was fantastic because it helped me see just how strong their bond is.
"You said I was every fantasy you've ever had, Raven. But you are my only dream. The one wish I'd never dared to make. And now I have it in the palm of my hand."
Otto may seem rough around the edges with his big, tattooed exterior, but he has such a soft spot for Raven. He’d do anything to keep her safe and happy. For years, he hides his feelings for her because she’s his best friend’s sister, and he also feels unworthy of her because of the darkness in his life.
The tension between Otto and Raven was so intense! I loved the mutual pining and the angst, but those love confessions? Wow! The way Otto says "I love you" is so heartfelt and beautiful that it brought me to tears. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat! My heart was pounding, and when the tragic moment hit, my heart shattered right along with theirs. The themes of found family and friendship throughout the book were amazing too. Overall, this book is a gem, and I can’t wait to dive into the next one!
"You're the light inside of me, Raven. Only thing that could ever lead me out of the dark. Gonna love you through it all. Under every endless moon. And when dawn finally breaks, I will watch you rise."
I always get excited when AL is coming out with a new book because I just know it is going to be one that I enjoy. There is the element of the motorcycle clubs which always makes me intrigued. Most of her men are morally grey which is another check mark in her favor. The spice is always fantastic, and then there is the element of suspense that gets me every time! I find myself trying to guess who is going to be behind the turmoil but apparently am not good at that as I have yet to figure out one yet! This book had ALL of these elements PLUS my favorite trope- BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND. Otto and Raven were just chef's kiss in this!! The buildup. The backstory with the dual POV and dual timeline. The chemistry between these two. The tabooness and then of course the only one bed. Come on AL! This book was stacked. You knew right off the bat that neither of these characters were what we were seeing. There was more happening the whole time. I did not see the end coming with the betrayal that happened but instead of breaking our people it only made them stronger.
Raven is on a mission to spread her wings. She loves her brother but can no longer live with him. She is going to make her move for the man she has had her eyes on for forever- Otto. Her brother's best friend. She just KNOWS he feels how she does but for some reason he keeps pushing her away. Well now that circumstances have changed, she is living in his house with him. She is surrounded by him constantly. She is going to tell him the truth. She is going to lay it out there and hope he feels it too. But first she decides to test their chemistry. See she has something she hasn't told anyone and once she tells Otto- that's how she gets his walls to lower. And what she experiences with him is unlike anything she has ever experienced. And even though she thought it before she knows now that they are meant to be. But then things start happening to her shop. Someone from their past is coming for them. And even though she acts like she doesn't know who it could be- she does. Because Raven has another secret. And the more she explores this thing between her and Otto the more it becomes apparent that this secret is going to come out. She just hopes that their love will be able to survive the other side of it.
Otto has been fighting this feeling that he has had for too long. See he has had this thing for his best friend's little sister Raven. But it can never be. He swore it. So he has been what he can- he has stood by her through thick and thin. Been there for her when she needed him. And somehow that now means that she is living with him. She is constantly in his space. And even though she hides it he can see what she feels. He can see what she wants. But he can't give in. Until one night when she bares a secret of hers to him. Something she has been hiding that she lets out. And she asks for his help with it. He gives in. He is only human. But then one time turns into more and confessions of feelings. And this all feels so right. But then things start happening to Raven's store and Otto's house. Otto has things he is hiding from his squad. Things he thinks he needs to handle alone. He is convinced that is what is coming for him. H is determined to take care of this before it gets too far. But then his worst fear happens and he can only hope that he is in time THIS time. Because even though he wasn't before, it feels different now. Raven is his and he is hers.
I am really excited to read book 1 and to get to see who all of these guys fall to their knees for. I am also excited to get to learn more about the guys. I feel like we are getting glimpses and of course I love the found family in this series. It just makes each book so much fun as it expands. I really liked reading Otto and Raven- though they had a long journey it was worth it. I always appreciate how well AL handles heavier topics (there are some in this book by the way). The ONLY reason this one wasn't five stars is because I felt like it was tad bit too long. At the same time, we got additional spice scenes which I am here for LOL.
Thank you to Valentine PR and AL for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
I don't even know how to put into words how much I loved this book! After reading From Here to Eternity, I was so anxiously awaiting Otto and Raven's story and boy did this one NOT disappoint.
The tension and angst in this one is THICK! It is so thick you could cut it with a knife and still feel the tension. Raven is Otto's best friend's baby sister and STRICTLY off limits and he has tried for YEARS to stay away. But when Raven moves in with him to spread her wings, Otto is pushed to his limits and he quickly realizes he can no longer resist the temptation that is Raven Tayte. And Raven, she know what she was doing. She has that man DOWN BAD and when he finally gives in, there is no turning back.
When we met both Raven and Otto in the first book, it was obviously that these two were mutually pining for each other. And it was also obvious that they both had a dark past that they needed to deal with to move forward. I won't go into detail because it will ruin the romantic suspense in this book but let's put it this way, Otto is out for revenge and that revenge may or may not also include Raven in some way. In true A.L. Jackson fashion, when the suspense hits, it hits and it's full force.
Can we also talk about Otto's love confession? Like the way this man said I love you to Raven puts EVERY single fictional book boyfriend and real life man to shame. I don't think another man can make me weak like that. Like it low key made me tear up a bit. For a man who has been pining for someone he never thought he was good enough for and then to finally confess everything he feels for Raven was truly beautiful!
This is your sign, if you have NOT read this series, please do. I love the strong found family vibes, the suspense and the spice! Now bring on my boy Kane's story!
You should most definitely read this book if you like: - Dark Romantic Suspense - Brother's Best Friend - Roommates to Lovers - Age Gap - Forbidden - Mutual Pining - Morally Grey Hero - Secret Society/Band of Brothers
* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to A.L. Jackson and Valentine PR for allowing me the pleasure to read Under an Endless Moon as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.
Since I finished “From Here to Eternity” I simply knew that I would love Raven and Otto’s story and it was probably one of my most anticipated reads of 2025 and let me tell you - A.L. Jackson didn’t disappoint AT ALL.
I was so immersed in this story and in these characters that I simply prolonged the experience for the longest time possible.
I am really, really a big fan of Amy’s writing and the poetic way she describes her characters feelings and that is something that I always, always adore. A.L. Jackson is just one of those authors that make me love love and make everything so raw, real and intense. I am on my knees for this woman - REALLY!
I never thought I could love Raven even more but oh Lord how was I wrong. She is just one of those characters that are so brave and so inspiring. The way she loves Otto so fearless and shameless was one of my favorite things along this story.
And Otto? I wanted to hug him so hard and tell him he truly deserved Raven’s love. I loved to be in his mind and to get to know his insecurities, demons and fears.
Raven and Otto are just one of those couples that make us think about soulmates and how some souls are really meant to be. I loved them SO MUCH.
This series is just one of my favorite series ever and I can’t wait to fall in love again pretty soon. Please, please read this series if you haven't yet and I promise you that you will definitely not regret it!
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Trope: best friend's sister Angst: 😱😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Everything I love about AL Jackson's books! Under an Endless Moon was angsty and sweet, with some great surprises. The tension build-up between Otto and Raven is 🔥🔥🔥 and the moment they give in is everything ♥️. Guest appearances by some of my favorite AL Jackson characters made it extra special. Can't wait to see where the series goes next, that teaser was awesome!
It had potential but it was annoying to read about the H’s conquests. He says he wants the h but of course he should sleep with OW instead. Because the h is forbidden. It makes sense. 🫠
I didn’t finish reading this but just knowing he went home with the waitress a couple times, he has a go to friend to get his aggressive energy out, etc. it was exhausting. I get it, the H had a sexual past. But does the reader need to read about it? Probably not.

⭐️4.5/5 🌶️3/5
Amy, you have done it again and I am absolutely speechless!I have fallen hopelessly in love with another book! I have absolutely no words, this book was everything I needed and more! I have been dying to finally read this book since I finished book one From Here To Eternity and I was not disappointed! I couldn’t get enough of Raven and Otto, they were so beautiful! The yearning, the pining, and especially Otto’s struggle to resist Raven, it had me swooning so hard! And the forbidden vibes? Hot. And so captivating.
There was something so special about Raven and Otto, the way they trusted each other so deeply, how they were each other’s safe space and how Otto held Raven through her nightmares was so beautiful! Then the way he blamed himself everytime he saw her scars and wanted to erase the nightmares from her mind broke me! I can’t get over how much love and need Otto and Raven had for each other! I loved how Otto was such a protective man but was such a soft teddy bear for Raven, AHH SWOONING!! I love a grumpy man that’s only soft for her!! And did I mention he cooks for her and sits outside her shop everyday after someone threatens her?! The man Otto is!!
Also can we talk about how Raven is a spicy romance book girly too?! Like hello absolutely yes! And then she’s also a Bridgerton girly! AHH I need her in my life! I was cackling when she wouldn’t let Otto push her away and had that man falling head over heels for her! And don’t even get me about how she wore dresses she knew he would lose it over! AHH iconic is an understatement! She was one of my favorite fmc’s to read! I really feel in love with her and was so obsessed!
The ending!! Umm excuse me!? The way I’m going to need book three NOW! Like I don’t need it, I NEED IT! Cause omfg! My jaw was ON. THE. FLOOR. The cliffhanger for what the next book is going to be about and the mmc! Like omg I’m even excited for the next book! AHH I’M SO FREAKING EXCITED!! I’m going to be counting down the days till it comes out! . . . . . . . . SPOILER And that twist?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! I did NOT see it coming! I felt a little betrayed. I mean, how could she do that to Raven? My emotions were all over the place, and I was in shock. Because I truly believed that girl was her best friend!!
After the wild ride the first book in this series took me on I should’ve known the second one wouldn’t be any less suspenseful and thrilling but OOOOOF that was a fun one.
Raven Tayte has been in love with her brother’s best friend Otto Hudson for as long as she can remember. After a tragedy that left her wounded and her best friend and Otto’s sister Haddie, dead, both Raven and Otto have danced around each other and their chemistry for years. When situations fall into place that have Raven sharing Otto’s space she knows its only a matter of time before she tries to convince him that what they both need has been in front of them all this time- each other. Both Raven and Otto have faced terrible tragedy and strife in their lives. The one constant that they have always had is each other. The micro trope of ✨him comforting her during a nightmare✨ is so underrated and I didn’t realize until this book what an absolute GEM it is in a story.
Otto’s dedication to not only Raven but to his family, his brothers, and his vengeance of his sister was so moving I could literally not even blame a single thing he did wrong on him. Raven on the other hand was a pillar of strength and seeing her face her fears while also demanding what she wanted and deserved out of Otto and out of life in general was mesmerizing. The twists and turns this story took had me ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT. My blood pressure was high. I WAS SO ANXIOUS. But I loved EVERY SECOND OF IT.
The chemistry and tension between this two was PALPABLE in all of the best ways. The banter that went from benign to red hot. The glances. The touches. The caretaking. The “it was always you”. The “you’re the only one”. Ugh. These two have my whole heart. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
If AL Jackson knows how to do one thing- its to write a swoony ass romantic suspense. I think she’s ruined me of all others because damn these two books have changed my brain chemistry. Thank you so much to AL Jackson + team for the eARC for review 🩵
AL Jackson is absolutely one of my all time favorite writers + Under An Endless Moon is NO exception !
Otto + Raven are such a great brother’s best friend story ! I mean who doesn’t love a macho, ex-motorcycle club man, who is so down bad about his girl, that he will only her see the goofiness and softness that he carries inside of him . All while our leading lady is his perfect counterpart and has so much to tell than what meets the eyes .
The two of them are the most perfect pair - especially once you start getting the pieces of their backstory that we have been missing all along . I cannot wait to see what book three is going to bring us !
This is book two in the Moonlit Ridge series and it can be read as a complete stand alone .
This book/audiobook was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management !
3.5✨ I love this series but this one went on a little too long for my taste. Aside from that I love the mix of suspense and small town found family in this series.
OHMYGOSH AMY!!! 😭😭😭 what have you done to me? AHHH, Otto and Raven are EVERYTHING, absolute 100% perfection!!! I can't get enough of them, and I'm not sure what it is about this series, maybe because it's a spinoff of Redemption Hills which is a fave of mine but this one is giving them a run for their money!
Raven may be my favorite person. She's one badass female character, sassy and stronger because of what she's been through!! That woman is fierce, and I need her in my life!! Otto, oh, that man has been to hell and back, doesn't believe he deserves love, doesn't deserve Raven's love or light in his life because all the dark he's touched. Love has a way of proving you are worthy, and Otto will get more than he bargained for with Raven.
This book.....story.....characters.....was absolute PERFECTION! The banter was witty, the spice was definitely spicing, and the tension was explosive. I couldn't put this book down, yet I wanted to savor it because I didn't want it to end. Once again, Amy has written a story about love, loss, healing, and characters that speak to my heart!! This one is going to stick with me for a while! 🖤🩵
Let me start out by saying if you haven't started the Moonlit Ridge series, it is a must read. Do not sleep on it! Especially this one. It may be my new favorite. Whether you start with this book or the first one, you will love the characters and the storytelling.
Under an Endless Moon is absolute perfection! I knew after reading From Here to Eternity that I was going to love Otto and Raven's story. Well, I had high hopes for them. And A.L. Jackson did not let me down.
Raven Tatye is the sister to River (from book 1) and she is an absolute spitfire. She has a strong sense of who she is and what she wants, but the one thing she can't have is her brother's best friend, Otto. Even though those two have an undeniable "platonic" love for one another that stems from a long history of being in each other's lives, you can always feel something boiling underneath. Raven has a past that is ugly, and the men in her life just want to protect her from any more evil. They are almost a little TOO protective. But she's ready to fly.
Otto is River's best friend and like a brother to him. They've been a part of Sovereign Sanctum since they were young and have done a lot of good for people that need saving. But that good has stemmed from evil that lurks, from their pasts and their present. And Otto is the epitome of everything good, even if it is done in such a morally grey way. It's all about protecting those that he loves. His favorite people. And Raven is one of his very favorites. But it can never be more than that. He can NEVER cross that line.
Told in dual timelines with a past that meets the present, Under an Endless Moon is an epic story of a love that was always meant to be. Within the darkness, a love was built and I couldn't have loved it more. Otto and Raven were just EVERYTHING! Their chemistry was undeniable, but it was their friendship and the way they took care of one another that was just so beautiful. They had a bond that couldn't be broken. And when Raven needs a place to stay and becomes Otto's roommate, you know that you are in for a real treat. Because those two push each other to their limits and it is explosive goodness. Trust me. They basically edge each other until they HAVE to give in to their desires. And just DAMN!!
"You said I was every fantasy you've ever had, Raven. But you are my only dream. The one wish I'd never dared to make. And now I have it in the palm of my hand."
You not only get the best forbidden romance filled with major tension and a true connection, but you get a story of found family that truly love and protect one another. You get a story with past characters that you'll fall in love with if you haven't already. You'll get banter and love and protectiveness and chemistry and don't forget the suspense that ties it all in together. I loved loved loved this book and never wanted it to end. This story is a great addition to the series and I cannot wait for more.
Okay, the queen said it herself: chokehold. How are you gonna give me one of my top MMC’s of last year, and then turn around and give me another top contender! And then you have the audacity to throw in a strong female? Excuse me! AL Jackson is one of my auto read authors, so I was so excited to get another one of her arcs! In the first book of the series, I was already overly amped to see Otto and Raven story. Brother’s best friend is always one of my favorite tropes! And plus when you throw in the added fact that both men are morally gray, absolutely sold.
AL Jackson is always so good at throwing twists and turns into her stories, so it’s always fun to see how it will play out. Seeing the intricate history that Raven and Otto have just made the detention so much greater! Another thing that she is so good at as an author is weaving in the flashbacks. I hate to give any spoilers, so I don’t want to give a bunch of details of why I just absolutely adored this book. However, I will do a note that when River finds out about their secret relationship, absolutely what I had expected from him! And frankly, The protectiveness and possessiveness of both males in that scene is a huge reason why I love brother’s best friend. I think the only thing that kept this from being a five star for me was that I miss the conversation following that confrontation. I don’t think it was a massive take away, but I wish we would’ve had It.
Tropes you’ll find: morally grey MMC, small town, secret past, brothers best friend, romantic suspense, age gap, roommates, forced proximity, badass FMC, touch her and 💀, band of brothers.
I knew after book one in this series that Raven and Otto would have a hot and explosive relationship and I was soo right! The author really brought both the heat and the angst with this one and there was so much going on emotionally as well. Finding out more details about both their pasts really broke my heart, it was seriously sad but it made their HEA all the sweeter in the end. The suspense was really solid as well, some of the things that happen throughout the book was truly scary and heightened an already emotionally charged situation. I alternated between audio and print but the audio won out in the end, the narrators are just too good and really gave it their all to portray Otto and Raven. I’m so glad there are still more books left in the series, I’m becoming attached to the characters and can’t wait to see what happens next but in the meantime if you haven’t read this book or the first both were great, especially if you enjoy angsty, small town romance with some tense suspense.
Morally Gray Hero Brother’s Best Friend “It’s always been you” Touch Her & ☠️ Secret Society Age Gap Angst Spice Small town suspense Her nickname is Moonflower Virgin FMC
“It's always been you, Otto. You have always been my safe place. My secret place."
Raven has always loved Otto. Even if he’s her brothers best friend and he helped raise her. But because of her traumatic childhood, she never let men touch her. Except Otto. His touch is the only one that feels safe. Good even.
"So, you want to know about this, Otto?" She tossed the book toward me. "I read these stories because I want to be swept away. Because I want to imagine this happening to me. And every time, I wish it was you." She kept right on, that chin held high. "I touch myself, wishing it was you. It's you. It's always you."
Otto knows she’s way too good for him. He doesn’t feel like he’s good enough to even be in her aura but also… her brother would absolutely ☠️ him if he touch Raven the way he wants too…
This is a suspenseful, small town romance. What Otto first thought was someone gunning for him.. is actually after Raven and this triggers him into a boiling rage. No one touches the girl he loves.
I do find some of the dialogue a bit cheesy, and it does take me out of the story a little bit. Which was the only issue I had with book number one as well, but overall, I really like this series! Definitely will be continuing. 3.5⭐️
I’ve been anxiously awaiting Raven and Otto’s book and it did not disappoint. The tension between these two characters was palatable from the very start. I am a sucker for brother’s best friend and this one absolutely DELIVERED.
Otto and Raven are forbidden. Otto swore it to her brother when they were young that he would never touch her. But that ship sails after Raven has to crash on his couch for the foreseeable future. In his defense he really tried to deny her but girl has some skills & she’s his weakness so…
We get a healthy dose of suspense in this one and it kept me coming back for the more. The tension was on fire and it was soul mate level connection between these two & they were perfect. I loved them so so much.
This series continues to get better and I am so excited to see what A.L. Jackson blesses us with next!
Thank you A.L. Jackson and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy. I am so grateful!

Otto and Raven’s story had me hooked from the very beginning! Their chemistry is undeniable- the tension between them.. sweet, sweet goodness 🤭 and the added forced proximity when Raven needed a place to stay was the BEST. Otto is delicious and I love his protectiveness of the people he loves. Getting to read about these two after meeting them in book 1 was so great and I cannot wait for the next in this series! This authors writing is unlike anything else and will have you memorized throughout! 💖
I've read AL Jackson years ago and liked most of what I read. I remember there were feels. Though I also remember there always annoyingly chirpy and weird sounding children. And there's one here too.
I waded through Redemption Hills and wondered what had changed.
Then I read the 1st book in this series. WTF? That was too much.
But this degeneration into farce was taking it too far, people. Waaaay too far.
I wanted to love this. Otto always being Raven's rock. Their obvious love for each other. Their demons. But I am SO SICK of the damaged women and the"good" men who have their backs. Who endlessly rescue them. I mean I love a good fantasy but this is ridiculous.
And I'd probably have given this 3⭐ only because other people love this stuff but that ending? Where
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤬
I call bulls**t.
