This is the perfect choice to give to a child who is unwilling to take a risk.
A group of young children want to perform in the school's talent show. They mark down the number of days on their calendars, practice, hope, dream, and practice again until the day of the show. Two resulting scenarios are shown, one that goes smoothly and another that doesn't. But you will never know which ending will be yours - until you try.
These words of encouragement within the covers are just the ticket to get hesitant kids to dive in. They are joyful and just what young kids need to hear to get a fire burning under them.
Bright, lively, and cheerful illustrations by Shelley Johannes were rendered using pencil, pastels, crayons, and markers - and a little Photoshop. It is messy. It is chaotic. It is perfect for this story.
Fun to read with a message of encouragement. Highly Recommended for PreSchool-grade 3.
